Yep, a great episode all around! "So the big fella pulls out a sock full of nickels, and then Schrute grabs a can of hairspray and a lighter ..."
-
That's exactly how I feel right now also. That could change by the time his contract ends, but for now I agree. If RVD sticks around, I could see them stretching out The New Breed vs. The Originals feud and play up a big injury angle for RVD. All the while I could see them also stretching out the CM Punk angle, and he only decides to finally join up with The Originals after RVD gets taken out at the end of his contract. RVD returns, and we could have a very hot feud waiting for him after his few months off.

Bob Holly really has problems. It wasn't too long ago that he almost had to have his arm amputated, and even worse he was on the verge of just flat out dying. I hope the guy can get fixed up once and for all. It's pretty scummy that WWE led him to believe he'd have a role at WM and ended up just dicking him around. He only stuck around working instead of taking time off because he thought they were going to give him a role on the show.

That .gif reminds me of something. Now don't get me wrong, the move through the table was awesome and just perfect, but my favorite part of it all was Elijah's selling of the move himself. That was some really, really good shit.

Go check out some of the Cabana promos on YouTube, they're awesome.

Because it would've been totally impossible for them to just have the people talking to Vince as he was out of the shot off camera, right? I really do understand how that was impossible in every single sense of the word. Really, truly, I mother fucking do. In such a case you'd likely've complained that it doesn't make sense for a cameraman to not move around the corner to get the first shots of a bald Vince; which is (supposed to be, at least) a big deal - some amazingly hilarious thing. No, I wouldn't. And you know why? Because that would actually make sense to do on a wrestling program. It would make sense because they could simply have Vince demand that the camera man not show him on camera until he gets to the ring, or just have that be implied since it wouldn't take a genius to understand that. If some of you don't understand why a first person shot doesn't work in wrestling, then I really don't know what to say. I'm not picky at all, anyone here who knows me knows that. This is just crossing that line of "ok, I can deal with this stupid bit" and "ok, no, that's just fucking retarded" for me.

Just stick with FireFox 1.5 and get the SessionSaver extension. It's always worked perfectly for me.

Yeah, like me complaining about Layla's hair of all things.

Would people like more clutter on the show to waste time in that one hour (less than that after commercials, or would you like at least one or two well built up feuds? Right now the show is all about the champ, Lashley, Snitsky being pushed to eventually face Lashley, a very short segment with the women, and the rest is all about CM Punk and the feud with The New Breed vs. The Originals.
-
ECW needs to give me more of that please. And yes, the finish still looked sick.
-
Wow, this match here at the end. That was a sick head-first bump Sabu just took through the f'n table. EDIT: Ok, the replay made it look not as bad, but still.
-
Snitsky's past? I bet he shot a baby in the back.
-
Why did they do this to Layla!?

I'll never understand Stevie's career in WWE. He's had his moments of exposure, but more often than not he's almost never used. All the while though, WWE seems to love the guy, and they use tapes of his matches as examples of how to work and sell in the ring. It just seems weird to me. Does he have another job behind the scenes?
-
Ouch, that was a rough bump Stevie just took. Never seen someone get spiked with that I don't think. If I have it's been a long time.
-
Well, all good points. I'd stretch out the CM Punk deal for weeks also. Stevie!!!

Very nice, sounds like a plan to me. That said, we might never seen any of them together on WWE TV just because of the fact that they have history. That wasn't a totally horrible Lashley promo just now, but meh, still not great or imposing at all.
-
Yeah, there's no need to turn him right now. That would be a huge, huge mistake right now. They're on the verge of having the next great over face if they play their cards right. What's the history of CM and Colt? If they brought Colt to ECW, what could they do with that?
-
Because it would've been totally impossible for them to just have the people talking to Vince as he was out of the shot off camera, right? I really do understand how that was impossible in every single sense of the word. Really, truly, I mother fucking do. As for the baby, yes, we needed to see that. Not only could they just not have done the segment at all, but it was also impossible to just have a camera in the room as they usually would do, instead of pretending they have a bloody camera as a baby in the family. You're logic makes perfect sense.
-
I hope it's just a Make -A-Wish segment, no angles or anything. It would look very bad if they use something like that in an angle, and since it's Foley he'd look that much worse than he already does (with his shilling, etc).

I've heard that the "botch" was meant to happen, and the Hardyz were always meant to win the tag titles. This goes back to what I said earlier, that it could lead to something pretty interesting, with WWE building up a Kendrick/London vs. Hardyz match to combine the tag titles, with Kendrick/London picking up the win, for a type of torch passing in the tag team ranks. I thought for sure it was a botch (could still be, and guys in WWE might be saying it was the plan all along just to cover up a mistake), but oh well.

Over the years it's just gotten worse and worse, you can tell what Vince is trying to do. He's trying to introduce this sort of bullshit in a way that once it's totally like a TV show, once everything is really changed, many fans wont even really notice it since it was a slow transition over a period of years. Anyone remember the horrible "Randy Orton's Visions" segments?
-
I think it's another step that Vince is taking to make WWE look more like a normal TV show than a wrestling program. Just over the past 24 hours we've had the two first person perspective shots, as well as Vince being on The Today Show this morning with Trump showing off his bald head, being perfectly happy about the entire deal, and saying that they're best friends again (with a smirk all the while). It didn't feel any different than seeing a normal actor on a talk show, talking about his character in a movie or a TV show. Yes, I know wrestlers are "actors" as well, but I don't like where all of this could be going. Over the years they've always tried things like this every now and then, but it feels different now, more forced and with more purpose to me.

Not to mention that Umaga was coming off of a failed title chase and jobbing to Cena before the Lashley program. I don't think that jobbing to Cena hurt Umaga, but it didn't really build him up to make him seem like a mega threat for Lashley either.
