As for who's next for Joe after this pay per view, I think the Nash contract deal is all kayfabing shit and he's still penciled in for a feud with Joe upcoming here. Time will tell, though. Sting may break away again here from the company for a bit, or else a feud with Christian, or for that matter, Styles, could happen. I can't see them continuing him as a pseudo-heel though, as they have to see it's just not completely going to work long term. I could see him go back and forth in typical shades of grey though, but eventually one would think they have to be thinking of Sting-Foley too, but by the time that comes around, Foley could be heel. As for Jarrett, I will be really curious to see where they go with him after this. If Angle/Foley is a go, that leaves him up in the air in terms of a role. Maybe a feud with Booker perhaps? Regarding Lashley, as I said before, I was totally just throwing it out there and in no means does it make sense. To break down the briefcase storyline a little more, I am thinking he has either a picture of someone in there, or else a contract for someone?

Yeah, I thought Body of Lies at number one was a no brainer.....apparently not. Damn, City of Ember really bombed. I thought it looked pretty good from the previews, good toke it up and check it out movie for sure. Blindness sure fell off the radar in no time also! Heading to go see probably Blindness and Quarantine today later.....

Do you think that happened a lot? It will be interesting to see how the strike affects 24 when it comes back on finally. That one seemed to take the largest hiatus hit from everything with it.

I'm back in catchup mode again with these shows........where are they at with them lately? I have about 15 of them on my DVR, eek!

Who is all in the film that was in the first one? And does it pretty much tie into the first well? IIRC the ending of the first Feast was kind of WTF and definately warranted a sequal to follow that. I thought the first was great stuff and it was fun to follow the start to finish of everything relating to it from the Project Greenlight show on Bravo, which it was featured on.

I dont know how this affected the script and production exactly, but I read somewhere that the writer/guy who this film was based off of (Toby Young) was a ravaging madman on the set, creating all kinds of headaches for the crew, so perhaps that was part of this film being so ridiculously blah and all over the place. Plus another knock on the film for showing tranny cock....ugh!

I don't know if it's the timeslot that is hurting it at all really, 24 used to be on that slot and held up pretty solidly. As far as it goes with me, I was into about half of the first season, then just got a bit bored/confused with it when I missed a few episodes, so I just bypassed the rest of the season, up until they aired the marathon repeats this summer, so I got all caught up (and was really impressed with the storylines bridging old characters and previous mythologies of the Terminator films). This season, I've been watching it religiously, and I think it's actually been much better than last season as a whole. So not really getting why its ratings are falling. They even tried marketing it with some Dodge truck promotion this week with limited commercials, and apparently the drop is still happening. I just hope that if its just 13 episodes this season, that they have accounted for the possibility of this being the end and they tie up everything properly. If T4 does strong next summer, its possible they may consider another season, too, but possibly on a different timeslot and/or maybe even moving it to FX or something.

Yeah, I ended up going to How to Lose Friends over the weekend (another one of those me, myself, and I in the theater only deals.....they didn't even start the film up at all until I got there) and wow, did Kirsten Dunst really phone in her performance in it. Really deterred from enjoying the movie, but then again, it wasn't very good all around, very repetitive and circular story to say the least. Nearly walked out of the film and more than likely would have if it wasn't for constant skin from Megan Fox (as close to nudity as you can get, at least).

Even though we are in the day and age when a bladejob doesnt draw as much sympathy towards the babyfaces as it was once was (that Midnight Rockers example is a perfect one of how it worked wonders back in the day), I think given how that match was laid out, it would have totally made sense for both of them to be a bloody mess in that match (was it Slamiversary? Can't even remember) in order for them to really "earn" that win, in a kayfabe sense. Like some have already said, given the fact the idea out of all of that was to actually put them over strong against the Duds, I think it was something that shouldn't have even been fought by either of them. They were getting pushed and were penciled to get the win convincingly (which was slightly changed more to elevate Lethal with the victory because of the bleeding refusal).....bottom line is they shouldn't have rocked the boat there.

There have been really heavy hints about him being the dog, or taking control of the dog at times at least. How else can you explain him rolling on the bed like a dog in one of the recent shows? But yeah, I am definately hooked on this show.......more and more each week in fact.

All I've heard them say is Nikki......I think she is just Teddy Hart's real life gf who he is bringing into the business as his manager from what I know.

Steelbook at FYE? Anyone got a photo of that?

Too bad I won't be able to see the show (Directv doesnt even get My Network TV at all)....sounds alright, although even wasting time with Chavo v. Henry/Khali baffles me.
-
Yeah, did they ever downplay, hell, not even ackowledge, his prior major stints in the business too. Either that or Todd Grisham just didn't even know he used to be in WCW. Makes me think that was the case since Grisham then questions "what Rey looks like under the mask" like it's never happened before. Also, the King Mabel comments by Striker were gold.

I was at the show live last night and it was a fun enough show, albeit a few drab parts to Raw. Crowd was on and off all night in terms of making noise, but they popped for the right spots (and Barack Obama got one of the bigger pops of the night in a video package they did in between commercials). The eight man tag was definately awesome stuff for Raw standards, though, and the DX thing was pretty fun from a live perspective too, more for the stuff after the match with HHH taking forever to get there, but finally getting his cliche DX micwork in. Thought it was a classy move also to see both Michaels and HHH literally take 10-15 minutes to just go around ringside, the sides of the ramp, and even to the sides of the stage all the way to slap hands with everyone who had front row and stuff, to end the show. People were going nuts for this at the end. They never did a dark main event, so this was their way to make up for that with the DX banter. Why I say that was classy was because I had probably the most unique seat in the house (in a way) as I was sitting front row on the lower level, literally at the end seat of the section right next to the huge stage set on the right side of it. So I was right next to the curtain, basically. Way the fuck to the side. The pyro was something from that perspective. And, like I said, Hunter and Michaels both seperately came all the way over there at the end of the night, surprisingly. Got to see people walking through and around the backstage the entire time, mostly crew guys since on the right side of the stage behind the curtain, it was all pyro setup and teardown, etc. After some of the guys would get done working their match as well, they would leave to the back from the side curtain too. And once in awhile a worker or a ref, etc, would be standing back there watching the show from the side. Saw Candice Michelle as an example. Could see the main walkway entrance from the back as well (moreless the Gorilla position), although it was heavily curtained around still. Caught a few glimpses of Vince, Laurintitis, and stuff like that. MN Trainer Eddie Sharkey was walking all over the place, taking pictures and stuff. Also, I swear I saw Scott Hudson sitting with the bogus AWA promoter Dale Gagner as well, front row on the opposite side of the arena (facing away from the cameras) on an odd note. It looked like them, at least. On this side of the stage too, they would "prep" certain things for the show, such as Regal's chair and a ladder, which I assume got placed around the ring for the end of the show. Almost snagged a script to the show after the show finished up (since they were sitting all over behind the curtain, and they brought in temp workers to help tear down, who clearly weren't working for the company directly, and was talking to a few of them about it), but not quickly enough before security kicked me out of the area. Damn! All in all a really different experience than the usual.

Impact goes live for one night only on 10/23
RedJed replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
As an addition to this news, apparently this will be the first TNA show broadcast in HD. Figured this was going to happen soon since most of Spike TV's programming is being shifted to an HD format bigtime lately. Too bad they couldn't do Bound for Glory in HD as the first one, but it is what it is. Smart move for them to take advantage of the fact they are going to be on the other end of the country for the first time anyway, so why not do a major TV taping since they couldn't book a ppv around that time? This will be the first Impact ever to actually be away from Orlando, much less in Vegas of all places, it's a huge plus towards making the company more marketable/mainstream in a sense. Of course that's twofold since the PR and whatnot needs to be brought to the forefront as well for the company still. Now is a better time than ever, though (because of Foley coming in), to take advantage of these moves to try to get them more noticed around the country. Having Impact live, in HD, and from a new and exciting location for the show all sounds good to me. -
In other Angle news, he was on Chris Angel Mindfreak last night totally selling that the magician died in a car crash stunt. It was really ridiculous to the point where Angle was even starting to cry. Don't ask why he was even on this show, I am still trying to figure it out.

Yeah that first part of the interview with them walking outside........I thought she was asking the thoughts of a high school senior with the way how Palin handled that shit. Talk about uncomfortably hilarious.
-
You need to re-read that article, he agreed they need to work together on issues of the economy, but he didn't say the debates should be postponed. And any of you who actually are defending this move by McCain.......wow. So if McCain leaves Washington, for, say, 4 or 5 hours, to prepare and get ready for this debate and do it, then our ecomony is destined to crumble right then and there or what?!! Since when is McCain the glue that holds this country together?!!!! Seriously guys, think outside the box here. It's a fucking smokescreen.

I was there too, that was a great Raw all around, that was a good dark match, wish I could remember the opponents for Brock and Shelton? I'm drawing a blank but I think it was some significant guys. The main event was Jericho v. Austin, and I think Benoit v. Kane or Big Show also happened. This was just a few weeks after Heyman got control of the book (or at least heavy influence) and was coming off the heels of Benoit/Jericho beating Austin/HHH for the belts. Sadly, with the exception being the Eddie Guererro tribute, that was the only Raw that has even came to Minneapolis until this time around. We've had plenty of Smackdown tapings here, though.
-
What??!! Cody shit himself?!!! How did I miss this....
-
Dark match main event is Batista/Mysterio vs. Jericho/Kane. Should be a fun show, I havent been to a Raw taping since the Eddie Guererro tribute show so looking forward to it.

They did another SuperClash flashback show and I don't think they aired most of these matches yet, that I recalled. God damn though, they do an interview with Greg Gagne and AGAIN the company tries to defend the lame CO win and title regaining of Gagne against Garvin at SuperClash. The heat was off the charts for that finish, and I guess Verne just didn't "get it" or something. Neither did Greg, apparently. But the matches on this show were fun, they had Iceman Parsons v. Brickhouse Brown as well as Eric Embry v. Jeff Jarrett, both worth sitting through. Unfortunately, they didn't show Manny Fernandez/Wahoo strap match (although I think I saw it on an older show at one time or another) but Wahoo cut a hell of a promo all bloodied and beaten up. SST (with the most hilarious entrance music and wearing Jagermeister t-shirts) v. Michael Hayes and Steve "Do it to It' Cox was shown before, and re-aired as the show's main event, but still decent enough to show again.

The opening segment was pretty good stuff....and built to a decent Punk/Rhodes match. Also liked the Bourne/Kane match too. The rest of the stuff was kind of forgettable, and I didn't get how Batista and Michaels are getting along like nothing happened. Main event was ok....unexpected finish which I bet leads to Cade v. Michaels next week. They could also do Batista v. Jericho next week non-title or something.
