It was one of those weekends were there wasnt any huge films coming out in prep for May, so the low numbers dont surprise me. RV looks like the antithesis of just barely stratching the surface of a DVD rental. Sentinel was a pretty good flick, as I did check that out over the weekend myself. I wonder how it will fare next week, as I felt this has a much better shelf life than something like SM4 or even Silent Hill.

Vamp/Colon was a tremendous match, didnt expect the workrate there and got it bigtime. Carlos beat the fuck out of Vamp after the match, good match to play into caribbean wrestling. Just showed REALLY old footage of Kamala, almost when they debuted him in a vignette (which I have no idea what organization he started with). Now Kamala v. Jake Roberts, who actually is not drunk or anything like Heroes of Wrestling. For once Roberts doesnt look like hell froze over. They also had a Greg Valentine v. Snuka match that saw some guy dressed up like a Nash imitation called DNA do a run-in for Valentine. How the fuck this guy got on a legends show makes no sense. That run-in from whoever that jabroni ended up being was really the only bad part of this show so far.

I dont see the big deal - Ross coming back to replace Styles is imminent anyway since its clear they are going full time with ECW. He'd need to get off Raw within the next month regardless. They need to get the angle going for ECW returning probably already this or next week and they might as well not waste anytime, so look at it more like that and more that Ross doesnt suck or not. Who's to say Styles still might not be announcing tonight with Lawler and Ross still? That might be alright, as they appear to be moving Coach (or considering it) over as a manager possibly. Then they can actually build a possible Styles "turning ECW" on commentary even by being pissed Ross is taking over head announcing and reverts to his "ECW style" of announcing, and hell, even openly play into reality and use the excuse of trying to be taught "WWE style" by Ross on his headsets drove him "back home."

Go to the ONS thread, I posted it in there yesterday. Nobody has even put it in this thread at all. And nobody has blatantly posted it for all to see, its in spoilers tags in there.

Might be an ok show, will definately order it to see how it goes. Even though the finish of the main event appears to have been leaked this past week in the WON, I still wouldnt put it past Vince changing up the finish last minute. Plus there should be an incredible amount of heat in that match, and I'd expect a really good three way, workrate wise, too. McMahon match - probably some lame finish like Vince and/or Shane taking a big bump when some pyro goes off courtesy of "god" I'd expect Benjamin to go over Van Dam tonight, leading to a MITB ladder match rematch upcoming on Raw, maybe even as soon as tomorrow night. So Benjamin can basically successfully defend his title, but by the end Van Dam will still have MITB after beating him in a rematch ONLY for MITB. The rest of the undercard is hit or miss. Looking forward to the women's match - and the others not so much, but they all have some sort of tests in them, such as can Kane and Big Show actually have a creative match with each other (I think every match they've had in the past has completely sucked), what kind of chemistry does Masters and Carlito have one on one, and if Ugawa or whatever his name is can be carried to a solid bout by Flair.

Regarding RVD's opponent at ONS, according to the Observer I got today......spoilers contain likely finish to tomorrow night's ppv title match.....

Yeah he just doesnt get it.... Dude, it doesnt matter what you look like, you aren't mentally or physically handicapped or anything like that for fucks sakes, so stop thinking no chick is going to go for you. Looks are secondary if you have a confident attitude and a personality that makes a chick want to know more about you. I mean, fuck, how many guys do you see who aint nothing to look at have chicks who are actually pretty hot? Its because they have confidence in themselves and WOMEN LIKE THAT. Call it that they offset their shit looks in other ways or whatever. Bottom line is that they have something to offer a woman - at this point I dont think you do with all of this fucking self loathing shit. Using your excuse that you arent good looking enough for someone is saying that all women are then, by that token, shallow and wont even give someone the time of day because of such. Well, here's my point - YOU DONT WANT A CHICK LIKE THAT ANYWAY. They arent all like that. The ones that are, well why bother with them if all they care about it looks. You're obviously looking for someone more than that, correct? You're using the way you look as just another reason to bring yourself down and that thought process needs to stop. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and fucking turn the page, man. I think you need to see a councelor or something if all the shit we've all said to you here hasnt sinked in. Its clear is hasnt as you still have this mentality of "Well I just can't change after being twelve years of a social recluse." Umm YES YOU CAN. But it starts with meeting people other than online as that just supports your mentality, for starters. Plus an opinion of yourself that is much more stronger than you have now. Seriously man, find some new outlets to meet new people - gym, bar scene, sports, etc, etc. Just fucking do it! Being bald and whatever does not project to women that you are "sick" or dying of cancer or some nonsense. Thats YOU thinking that. Dont get it twisted! Its really sad, more than anything, that you still think this girl who apparently blew you off via email or whatever is something you are still hanging on, that she was "a decent person" etc, etc. From what the situation sounded like, it didnt seem to be that case in reality. Move on dude, MOVE ON. I'm finished trying to get this in your head, its turning into pointless fodder basically.
-
Like some have already said, Impact really worked last night. They need to consistently have shows that are very unformulmatic (is that a word?) to keep the viewers attention, above and beyond eliminating pointless fodder such as glorified squash matches, backstage segments that mean NOTHING, etc. I read that the booking has dictated that not everyone will get equal airtime, but I think thats a good thing as they really should just be focusing on certain characters and main feuds anyway primarily, if you ask me.

It's probably best for Angle himself that he has to sit out for awhile since he tends to overwork himself in the first place and he probably does need to heal up a bit for his own good. But it still sucks to have him out of action as that just depleates that roster that much more. Gotta figure Lashley v. Booker at Judgment Day for KOTR?

Good points about Smackdown being given consideration to being taped before or after Raw every week. I actually think that would cut a great number of costs in production, likely overall jump up attendance to those dual brand tapings, and then that would open up Tuesdays for taping ECW, and you wouldnt even have to tape ECW every week, you could do two tapings a month only. The only thing you really lose is the look of Smackdown cosmetically. Instead according to Observer, the move has been dictated by Vince to eliminate Velocity completely and tape ECW before Smackdown every week, then finding a market to put it on, whether thats just syndication and/or cable is up in the air. But as of right now, all ECW will be, until they find TV clearance, is another internet show. Here is the actual report... "As of the end of meetings today, Vince McMahon decided that ECW would take the place of Velocity. In other words, the show would be taped prior to Smackdown every Tuesday and until a new time slot is secured in the U.S., would remain an internet property show. Velocity, at least for the present, would cease to exist. Negotiations are going on to attempt to get it on U.S. television." So far not feeling this whole idea after I was intially very pumped about it.

What TNA should basically do in that match is have Steiner and Jarrett pretty much get their asses handed to them - so you can blowoff Jarrett/Sting, then move Jarrett and Steiner over to something else (involved Monte Brown back in the mix as a face to combat them), and then the big kicker is having Joe turn on Sting after they win. I will give TNA credit if they let Joe pretty much be unstoppable in this match, as having Jarrett and Steiner give him a rub will make a world of difference.

Thats the dumbest excuse I've heard for not liking the product, and I've heard plenty!

The only thing newsworthy out of this is Sheen calling her a nigger for no good reason. I would love to actually hear these messages, they sound hilarious.

I guess on the issue of baking a cake for, when it all comes to it - a bonafide stranger - is that, to me at least, baking a cake for a relative unknown like that smells, hell it REEKS, of despiration and/or just general weirdness (I'm just being honest here). I'm sure you a great baker and whatnot, but thats something to turn a girl onto AFTER you are dating, hanging out, etc. Just tell her you are a good cook via conversation, get her interested, spend some time with her, and THEN wow her with it. Second thing is dont hold regret over some dumb shit such as this. If she's using that you didnt hang out with her, with her friends mind you, as an excuse to diss on you, well then you should realize she's probably not worth your time if she is that petty about it all. Bitches like that dont deserve yours or anyone elses time if they are going to pull tactless cards out of the deck such as that. Now if she said she wanted you to go with her friends because she didnt feel comfortable with you alone, you need to understand that is a legitimate excuse that should tell you, "Ok I was probably freakign this girl out for whatever reason (*cough*hebakedmeafuckingcheesecakeandhedoesntevenknowme*cough*)" and just accept that and LEARN from it in your future online hookup attempts. Dont do it anymore! To be perfectly frank, I'd stray away from online meeting up scenarios or interaction with online people you have visions of hanging out with at a future date as it seems to be pretty awkward enough as is and hard for you to deal with anyway - I think you need to start moving ahead towards meeting people outside of an online relationship, it will help you ALOT long term. More times than not meeting someone online - its awkward as all fuck and you can fall into a very false direction of thinking one person is one way when they are actually a totally different (sometimes opposite) way. Just speaking from my experiences in the past as when I was in college, I met a gripload of women this way, hell I even went out with a few of them. But thats not to say meeting a chick from online wont work (its been hit or miss for me), but the odds seems to be worse than if you just met a girl via some more "natural" means. But then again sometimes its easier to get laid by meeting someone online from you area versus just randomly going up to a girl and wanting some action, so what do I know. Depends what YOU want - do you just want to get laid? Another thing, when/if you do get some fun in the sack, I think your lack of confidence will subside ALOT. So keep that in mind. But the problem is no chick is going to want to fuck you with the way you are handling yourself at the moment. What I think you really need to go is just really work on building yourself up more, as even on a silly message board here your lack of self confidence is clearly obvious. Dude, its bad - really bad. Until you can help yourself out more, you can't really help anyone else and why would a girl be attracted to a guy who seems very self loathing, desperate for affection, and just generally is a push-over? Find some other interesting hobbies that help build yourself up more, maybe working out (good way to meet others by the way if you sign up to a gym or something), taking up a unique sport (even if its something as goofy as frisbee golf, etc), or whatever. I hate to be so straight up and brutally honest about it, but you really should take a look at these situations and learn from them in a sense that you need to change up your habits of you how deal (or dont deal?) with the opposite sex. Seriously.

Yeah, hotshotting Joe into the world title scene might not be a bad idea, but I still dont get why he needs to have the X title to do it in the first place. But having Joe turn on Sting at the next ppv, setting up Sting putting Joe over onto a world title match with Christian (or whomever) would work for me, just as long as they dont book Joe joining up in a Jarrett-led faction. Joe. v Jarrett has no redeeming quality either so I hope they dont go down that path.
-
He doesnt have to own the company for it to "feel ECW" - as long he could be given complete creative control to run the company as he pleases, including heading the overall look/feel/structure of the company if he so desires, then its all good.
-
The Joe/Sabu match was definately a letdown, and the Duds/Canada match and Arm Wrestling stuff didnt do shit for me either, but everything else was good to great in some instances on this show. The Lethal Lockdown match was way better than it had any right to be, really gave me some weird vibes from old War Games matches with great heat, and then the top came down with the pyro - reminded me when they would drop the cage to start War Games, and that match will be remembered for that huge memorable spot by Styles of course. Really legitimate "holy shit" spot that you just dont see in wrestling everyday - and TNA should promote that big spot hard on future shows to make Styles also really stand out as a unique part of the company. World title match also exceeded my expectations, both guys worked really hard to make it worthwhile. The X division matches except Joe/Sabu really were better than usual too - really great opener, Ki/Daniels was good, and the Xscape match was also damn good. Much better than last ppv!
-
Christy Hemme just showed up, to announce a match or something?
-
The Sabu-Joe match was a dissapointment for sure. I dont think they even gave them ten minutes. Could have been good but never got time to go anywhere. Thats actually been the worst match so far (of course I'm not considering that arm wrestling crap) They only have three matches to go and an hour and a half left of airtime. Huh?
-
Doesnt surprise me they gave Ki the win since this is the perfect feud to put Daniels in right now with him not having the belt anymore. The program just makes sense. Solid short little bout to lead to other longer ones. I'm sure we'll see a few more ppv matches between the two.
-
Apparently the new name means "Warrior" in japanese. He's still the same Low Ki though, solid match so far, some stiff shots here.
-
Great opener, superkick mania there near the end though.
-
Looks like they still havent decided for the 4th guy for Team Mexico yet. This match has been very good stuff so far if you ask me. The triple team moves both sides have done have been highlights.

I think if they let it be in the same mold as last year's ECW PPV was (without all the WWE vs. ECW stuff), it'll be a moderate success and provide a nice alternative to the crap WWE and TNA (sans X-Division) shovels at us. I most definately agree and with that said, keeping to that same mold as last ONS, this will work probably only if WWE allows ECW to tour at least 2-3 times a week on a seperate house show/tv taping circuit to moderate sized arenas (holding upwards to 5-6k at most) to try out the experiment. I say this because there will be a LOT of people who watched ECW before and would like to see it back (me included) but if the shows are booked before, during, or after an actual WWE taping in the same arena, its going to be cosmetically fucked up from the get-go and just come off as an extension of WWE (which it technically is but, like last years ONS, the only reason it worked was that it actually didnt feel at all like it really was an extension after all). Now if we get tv shows in small intimate venues, and as such, giving that more authentic ECW feel, then I think this has a chance. If given full creative freedom, I have no doubt Heyman and Dreamer can give it justice. Also hire all new staff to go on the road w/ ECW seperate of the WWE production crew, etc. It needs that total seperation of WWE production as well to succeed. Ideally if you did a Thurs/Fri/Sat house show circuit with ECW would be to tape TV one of those nights and the other two are just house shows, all in a decent proximity from one another to avoid additional expenses with being out on the road. Also, having a late night Sat slot on USA Network would be great, but thought should seriously be given, as some have said, to turning Smackdown into ECW and giving them two hours on Fri primetime. I think that would work if they wanted to jump the gun on that. But dealing with UPN and changing up the content that significantly would be a whole other thing. Worse case scenario, if USA or UPN wanted nothing to do with the product, you simply push it hard in syndication. WWE has the experience to handle syndication and could find decent stations to run it.

I'm a little pissed that Scary Movie 4 already has almost 70 million. The fuck is wrong with this country. Oh well, at least it didnt get number one again.
