  1. This is good stuff here
  2. Cant even remember her name, some apparent local chick who is trained in MMA
  3. For some reason I expect Kong to squash both of these girls by the end of it.
  4. She took a hell of a bump on the guardrail there.
  5. I'd like to see a guy take up the challenge this time around to make it stand out a little different than the normal Impact squash. BTW, TNA needs to hire Becky Bayless, stat! And wouldnt mind Daffney getting a job with the company either after the Impact match showing.
  6. Hector fucks up Devine again, just like last months ppv. I seriously wish professional wrestling as a whole would eliminate the heel tag partner or manager pulls out the ref from the ring right before the three count. Its so cliche and outdated since WWE overused it back in the late 90s. All it would take is a simple mandate from a company's GM/comissioner to state if someone pulls a ref out right before a count, they are automatically DQed and the titles would even change hands if its applicable. LAX/Duds was ok, but last month's match was much better, which is surprising since both Duds and LAX worked two matches beforehand on the last show. It was just a matter of what style fits these workers better. Last month's match was more street fightish in nature and this match just seemed like your basic wrasslin match.
  7. One thing we can always count on with TNA is great unintentional humor like that. That six woman tag was ok, but nothing that great. Mickie looked good in there though.
  8. Cant see the Mickie "Moose" Knuckles/Beautiful People alliance last long after that whole deal there.
  9. lol Moose Knuckles? Wow.... Seems like its TNA policy with most of the chicks to rename them (and more than likely copyright the new names too). I'm sure this is more of the same.
  10. Spike TV only.
  11. I actually expected him to come back without a mask on. Guess not.
  12. Steiner is cutting a "what about me" promo that may lead here to Abyss coming out? He's supposed to show up here. Yup I was right, Abyss (with a subtly different mask) returns in a sanitarium type outfit. For some reason, he decides to carry Kaz out on his shoulders, kind of odd.
  13. Those last five minutes there was real strong stuff, kind of surprised by the blood there by Kaz, figured that meant he was going over. Real good opener though.
  14. If Petey ever does a top rope destroyer, damn. Nice head drop move I havent seen from Kaz in awhile Oh shit, Kaz NAILS Rhaka Khan with a nice dropkick. I didn't expect that. Nice nearfall with the pipe shot and Kaz is bleeding like crazy,.
  15. I am thinking this is a spoiler so I will tag it, but the TV guide listings for Impact on Thursday off my dish is listing so it seems to appear he will be going over tonight in the KOTM match. Also listed for Thursday, by the way, is Angle v. Rhino. Got the show tonight, we'll see how it goes. Always good to see a TNA ppv on the road too.
  16. Three words: whiskey tango foxtrot
  17. As I was thinking, it's appearing to be Booker v. Joe in Houston (Booker's hometown of course) for the next ppv. Kind of spoils the main event for this Sunday's ppv, but I don't think most expected Joe to lose that match anyway. Booker/Joe can be a strong draw for the next ppv if the build is solid. It's fresh and if they keep going the way they are going with the way Booker is being treated as a character, he should be credible going into the match.
  18. Edge versus Batista AGAIN? I'll fucking pass. On top of it, we get a wedding between Vicki and Edge for the Great American Bash ppv. Can't they find better shit to do with Edge than another program with Batista and then a stupid wedding angle for the ppv after next? And Smackdown is now going to have a "Divas" title? Give me a break. Cousin Sal v. Santino sounds just about how I expected.
  19. I did an ad nauseum writeup on the last couple of AWA shows, which have been comedic gold in so many ways I dont know where to start. I'll probably post it later tonight after watching tonights show, to see if theres anything there worth commenting on. While I'm at it though, just a few notes relating to workers and personalities from AWA and my personal connections of sorts with them. Back in 86 I think, my uncle lived in a really run down apartment complex in St. Paul, and his neighbors across the hall was Marty and Shawn. Never met them but he said he talked to them here and there coming in and out of the building, and my uncle noted to me a few years ago that he spent many a sleepless night from the two across the hall having loud parties til the late hours of the mornings. Girls would occasionally be in the hallway being drunk and obnoxious as well. On another side note, Rod Trongard was the PA announcer (as well as the radio broadcaster) for my high school's football games at Mankato East High School when I was there. He also did radio on a local AM station here in the mornings up until his death in whenever that was.
  20. i saw this a couple weekends ago, loved it. some of the family subplot stuff was admittedly half-baked and awful, but the slow-burn pacing was perfect and made those funny touches even funnier (the doctor examination, the nuclear power plant that sits right behind the house in every shot). I couldn't tell if the power plant thing was there for humorous purposes or not, which just made me dislike it more. Yeah, I didnt like it much. It was trying for a half twisted dark comedy vibe and the other half seemed like this was some "coming of age" feminism NOW! type deal as well. I dunno, the movie just dragged and it just didn't click for me. I felt like I was watching an afterschool special some of the times, and then it does a total 180 and we see graphic mutilation scenes. I have to say the ending was so tongue in cheek and over the top though, I chuckled. The power plant shit, to me, was supposed to explain how she got teeth in her twat somehow, I dunno? What I didn't get was how she could control "it." Because she was high and drunk?
  21. Well, they do have a month to build the match as something big, its nice to see them throwing out a big time match as the main event for the next show, since I honestly didnt want to wait til SummerSlam to see that match anyway. And the draft is the week before this next ppv, so it will be interesting to see what else they build on this card ahead versus pulling out last minute booked matches based on the draft switches.
  22. Could very well be true.
  23. Eh, Hardy did the clean job there, that seems to be the company saying "not yet" regarding him. Him being thrown into the mix just wouldn't make sense given the finish.
  24. Fuck that noise. Even those Cena against HHH makes more sense than Hardy/HHH at this stage, I thought them doing a Hardy/Cena/HHH match for the belt would have been better. That finish pissed me off, I was crossing my fingers for a Hardy reversal of the FU, but it didn't happen. The fans, though, continue to show they really want Hardy up there in that title role spot again, as it was a much stronger pro-Hardy crowd by the end of it than I expected. Really entertaining Raw tonight, great follow up from the ppv.
  25. I find myself pulling for Hardy here in this match alot. Cena just seems the natural heel right now.
