I play a lot of Risk now. Settlers of Cataan is another game that my friends and I used to play a lot, but many fights came about from that game so it's kind of been pushed to the back burner for now. Yes, fights, and these are post college age people I am talking about here.

UFC Fight Night - Florian v. Lauzon

At least it wasn't being televised; still sucks for Spencer though. I can't believe that this show is going to have a three-hour slot. With fights like Irvin/Alexander, it would be hard to believe that they won't show more than just the one swing bout if they don't fill up the entire three hours. Unfortunately, I can see them just throwing a bunch of commercial breaks and promos in there to kill time. -
As for actual dumb injuries, I'm surprisingly low considering I do a lot of stupid stuff. I guess the worst would be when I was in 5th grade and I tripped at my first NASCAR race on the first lap and cut a deep gash in my knee on the wooden bleachers. I had to leave and go to the hospital and get nine staples in my knee. Earlier that same year I was walking in the woods in Boy scouts and stepped on a tree branch that was balanced on another like a seesaw. It flew up and smacked me in the eye and I had to get a few stitches in my eyelid.

The bleachers in our gym used to pushed up flat against the wall in high school so we could play ball in P.E. class and every once in a while an errant pass or tip would cause a ball to land on the top and get stuck in the bleachers. Anyways, I climbed up to get it one day and had the genius idea to jump off the top bleacher and upon impacting the ground, dribble it between my legs. The rest, as indicated by my quoting of your post, is self explanatory.

Rock Vs. HHH or HBK Vs. Hart, which Ironman match you think is better?
AboveAverage484 replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in General Wrestling
Usually when I watch HBK/Hart, I only watch the last thirty minutes, but taken just within that context, I think it's a pretty classic WWF match. -

Frank's stand up is some of the more polished stand up you'll see among "non strikers" in MMA. With that said, I still don't see him staying on the feet too long with Le. -
Sorry to hear that, Rip. Best wishes towards your mom recovering.

You forget that Barnett has also struggled to put away Yuki Kondo (despite mounting him the first), been outstruck by Takahashi, and his submission skills can at times be as awkward as the shoot fighters he constantly fellates. Oh, and Barnett trying to figure out how to finish off a kneebar while Yoshida is literally to tired to do anything about was equal parts sad and humourous. Yeah, but the Steve Williams back drop more than made up for that, IMO. -
The answer is indeed yes. You're going down on Saturday. What happened? Don't worry - no shame in losing to the best team in the nation. North Carolina playing D = trouble for everyone else. Danny Green was a beast last night. Knocking down all the big shots, blocking 7 Duke shots, and posterizing the hell out of Greg Paulus. If anyone stumbles across an image of him immortalizing Paulus as a punk please post it here. I was ready to fucking stab somebody last night. That shit was bullshit. I'm sick of mildly unstable t not getting called for SHIT in the paint. Seeing as how Hansbrough went to the line ZERO times, I'd say that makes us even.

UFC 82: Pride of A Champion

Yo, I'm back, serve me my punishment. Henderson the wrestler showed up for one round, but skipped the second. Kind of what I was afraid of. -
The Broncos released Javon Walker, which is kind of surprising considering the season he had in '06, but it sounds like he wanted out, so that's 5 million less the Broncos have to worry about now. Ian Gold was also released, which isn't shocking as the guy has steadily deteriorated since returning to the team a couple years ago.

That's fine, but if I lose I won't be able to use your choice until I get back on the 9th, is that cool? If you lose, I can either post it here before the match (just in case) or you can wait until I get back, it's up to you. -

Although sherdog.com isn't accurate... Doesn't Nortje have a under .500 record? In MMA. I should have said dramatically improved in K-1. He used to be just some big, hairy dude, now he's at least starting to show that he's more than just size and a bear-like appearance. He TKO'd Mike Bernardo and although he was in the twilight of his career at that point, it still says something for Jan. BTW, be thinking of some stips for the avatar bet in case things go your way. I'll actually be leaving for the Caribbean for a week(!) Saturday morning so I won't be able to enforce your stips, although I trust you'll adhere to the terms, once I make them. -
Don't know why, but this made me laugh.

Anyone who thought Sapp losing to Nortje was surprising needs to have their head checked. Nortje is far from a top tier K-1 fighter, but he's made great improvement in the past few years, so him trouncing Sapp wasn't too big of a shock. I wouldn't really refer to him as a can, either. -
Don't forget Barkley snoring during Dr. J's interview about who he thought had won! And yes, what was impressive about the Superman was that he ran, came to almost a complete stop, and just leaped from there.

So the Hawks just traded for Bibby? Great, I just waived Beno Udrih from my fantasy squad this morning...

Getting Black Lushus started on how horrible the GI Joe flick is turni

Some of you might not know that Hasbro's recently released a lot of new molds based on the classic looks for their 25th Anniversary line. A lot of them look pretty awesome, and if I was a kid I'd definitely be all over these. 2007 releases 2008 releases (so far) -

Yeah, I'm a pretty huge Joe fan boy myself, so I don't know whether or not I can watch the movie. I abstained from Transformers, but I don't know about this. -

Did you ever read the comics, Lushus? I thought they were some of the best written books in the eighties; even though I was too young to collect them initially, I use to burn up my allowance on back issues and ended up owning every issue from 35 on. Hama was a great writer, he made Serpentor's story pretty interesting and also did a great job writing Wolverine's solo series. -

Oh, I had forgotten that the team was supposed to be international. But isn't being an American organization kind of integral to the whole idea of G.I. Joe? I mean they have the red, white, and blue stripes in their logo. I know they had some foreign born members, but I think that they should have kept it American, rest of the world be damned if they have a problem with it. I think that the Joes that are essential to making the movie would have to be Duke, Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, Roadblock, and Gung-Ho. You've got the badass marine, the badass black guy, the woman, the badass ninja dude, and the leader. At least they got Cobra right with the Commander, Destro, and Baroness. Pretty cool that Zartan is in it, too. -

Oh shit, that was a quote that I was going to reply to in another thread but didn't and somehow it ended up in here. I didn't know that could happen. I guess what Lushus said makes sense, but why even cast Adewale in the first place? I don't think there were many heavily accented African American Joes. -

Ripcord and Heavy Duty seem like odd choices for Joe team members. Why not more popular characters such as Roadblock or Gung-Ho? You still get to keep Adebisi as Roadblock -

The card looks pretty sick, but DAMN are those some faggy ass nicknames. It's like they couldn't decide on something cool, but they really, really wanted a nickname and just picked anything. The Dentist? The Farmboy? Give me a break.
