Elvis Sinosic is fighting in the 219 and over category? -
Not too big of a fan of this particular song, but Meat Loaf's first album, Bat Out of Hell, is one of my favorite albums, ever.

I agree entirely, that's why I was so amused by the announcers comments last week, like they were shocked that fans would resort to throwing garbage. It's in the south and at most of the races in that particular region a good portion of the fans are drunken hicks, so I wasn't surprised in the least. Ticket prices are ridiculous, I agree. At least I get to see the All-Star race for free because of some complimentary tickets I scored.

I think Marquardt is going to keep the fight on his feet, because he does have very good striking and is confident enough in his striking ability. This is going to be a very good fight, style-wise Marquardt is all wrong for Silva, but it is going to be interesting when they are on their feet. I can't really pick a fighter right now to win, despite me being a huge Anderson Silva fan. I will say this though, if Silva beats Marquardt, I don't think there is a MW in the UFC that would be able to defeat him. I think Silva has holes in his game that have yet to be exploited by anybody. Besides Serra, he's probably the most beatable champ in UFC right now. Marquardt, Franklin, and Okami are all guys I'd drop a few bills on if they were the underdogs.

Had to post this for Rip since he's a huge Tom Chambers mark. Best white guy dunk ever.

First of all, I don't consider NASCAR a sport, it's just racing. I've been watching the sport since I was a kid, and NASCAR's rules are really my biggest problem. I hate the "lucky dog," green-white checkers, and the new caution rules. Basically, they want to make the sport both more exciting and safer at the same time, but as soon as they eliminate racing back to the caution, they institute a maniacal mad-dash to the finish which is going to end up seriously injuring someone before all is said and done. I have to agree with Stewart as well with these random debris cautions. They made a point to show the debris last week and really rub it in, but it wasn't the cautions which showed the debris that Stewart was pissed about, it was the ones that didn't. As for new tracks and sponsorship, that comes with growth, so as long as they build some decent new tracks, which they've been pretty hit or miss about, I'm happy. Relatedly, somebody's going to make a fortune by building a new Bristol or new Richmond, because both of those tracks are gold mines with huge capacities for their sizes and exciting races. Additionally, they've banned fourteen "fans" from Talladega for life, so take that for what it's worth.

You are all bums; Rock/Austin is one of my favorite all-time matches!

Nah. The first three bulls championships were nearly as dominant as the last three(at least in the regular season). Plus, Grants back was on the decline already. And Dennis rodman was easily 3 times the player that Horace Grant was. I do think it is a good question though, about the 95 Bulls with grant. I think they might have taken the Magic. But they were just SO weak in the front court that year. I guess you could also make the argument that he had to do more with less, since the three peat teams were better, but I still remember watching him during the playoffs and thinking his game was off.

Nope, I think it's the first time that kidnapping crew has come. A.J. was gonna go to the military school but had a panic attack and ended up not going.

I have to agree with the "Jordan wasn't back in the groove in '95 crowd." Here are his numbers before, during, and after his return. Pts: 93: 32.6 95: 26.9 96: 30.4 Stl: 93: 2.8 95: 1.8 96: 2.2 FG% 93: 49.5% 95: 41.1% 96: 49.5% FT% 93: 83.7% 95: 80.1% 96: 83.4% His other numbers were roughly the same, showing that while he stayed the same in some areas, in others he was considerably down from his usual "Jordanesque" numbers. He was mentally different too, I remember he didn't look right in '95 when he returned, and was definitely not the unstoppable player he was during the three-pears.

Also, no one's hating the Eagles because they get played a lot on the radio; they're being hated for being absolutely fucking awful. And that Hinder comparison is really, really stupid and inaccurate. I thought their singles were great but for the most part their albums as a whole, with exception of Hotel California, were pretty bland.

Now that Michaels/Ramon from SummerSlam is on the ladder DVD, hopefully Austin/Bret from Survivor Series is on the Austin DVD, then most of the classic WWF matches from the past 15 years or so will be on DVD. Now all we need is Michaels/Jarrett.

They could have at least had him pull a knife or a gun out and still have him expelled. I guess they really wanted us to know he's a fucked up kid.
-
I'm gonna make an early prediction and say Marquardt beats Silva.

Did you seriously think I didn't know they were from California? Oddly enough, their fan base is probably larger down here than it is in California, as their country leanings appealed much more to Southern audiences than California hippies and surfers. Pretty much the same deal with CCR. Ask a lot of the hicks down here if they know where they're from and most of them would probably answer the South, sadly.
-
Us here in the South tend to have more respect for the Eagles than you Yankees.
-
Summer time's almost here, so for me it's lots of Springsteen, Eagles, Mellencamp, Tom Petty, Bob Seger, Jackson Browne, etc. Good road trip music.

This sounds like how I play in pick-up games.

I don't think Transformers will reach 200 mil. 100 mil, probably, but 200 mil is such a huge figure.

My friend's cousin used to have Pokemon Colosseum and my friends and I used to play the HELL out of the mini-games on there. Funny thing was the R button was missing on one controller, so during certain games one player was always handicapped.

Bat Out of Hell doesn't, though.
