Okay, what the hell's going on? Maybe it's some kind of Langoliers alternate reality shit.

Oh shit, Rudo and LOTC are gonna be creaming at that Jin spin kick to Patch's face.

It's been my experience to only believe people who they say they've quit smoking after they've done so for at least a month or two. Most of the time they are like "I quit smoking." I skeptically ask them how long, and they say "three days" or "a week" or something to that effect. Anyways, the patch works great for those who choose to use it. It's also been my experience that if someone really doesn't want to quit they don't even try the patch. Try it, I've had many tell me it does a great deal in helping them kick the habit.

Thats one of the dumbest thing ive ever read on here. Now i know ive not had them, but HOT chicks do dig on tattoo's, take Kat Von D of Miami Ink fame for example: I thought Mik was referring to the Bart Simpson tattoo
-
No, I think you might be mixed up. Tony B killed Joey Peeps for Rusty, then he shot Billy Leotardo when he found out what he and Phil had done to Carlo (his best friend in jail).

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
AboveAverage484 replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I think he was tentatively on the Pride LW GP card anyway, though who the hell knows what's going on with that now. -
No word on Wright yet, though. In all reality, he should probably stay one more year and bulk up a little bit, as well as work on his offensive repertoire; he has zero range and he can't just drop it in the basket over everybody in the NBA like he did in college.

Well he looks like the wolfman besides the tattoo, so that probably doesn't help either.

A few new pictures of Tammy "Sunny" Sytch
AboveAverage484 replied to Downhome's topic in General Wrestling
Vince probably would only induct her if she lost some more weight and got a bigger boob job, but he probably doesn't want her on screen otherwise. Sad, but probably true. -
This thread reminded me of an old Dave Scherer post on RSPW: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.sport.p...08d67811d3042b8 Funny how Flair is still around and ECW isn't... Pretty good for a guy who was "dead" 13 years ago.

Here's to Sunny's happiness and health, keep it up. -
This episode was just there, even though it gave me reason to start disliking Juliette again. She just seemed awkward in a face role... Oh God, a wrestling analogy.

PRIDE 34 -4.8.7- Easter Sunday

I thought Frye/Thompson was just a poor man's Frye/Takayama. It got pretty embarrassing towards the end for both parties, with Frye basically a punching bag for Thompson, who was so gassed he couldn't even connect on a stationary target. I liked Takimoto/Zelg, but the rest was pretty disposable. -
You're supposed to drop the gun. Nobody wants to get caught with a gun that was used in a murder case, they have forensics teams or whatever that study ammunition and can match rounds to the chambers of particular guns. Plus, Bobby was wearing gloves, so I'd say he didn't do too bad considering it was his first hit; the guy's dead and Bobby got away with (presumably) no witnesses. Can't ask for much more than that. The Tony/Bobby brawl was great, you just knew Tony was going to make excuses for losing considering how concerned he is about his self-image. I thought it was funny how he was asking Carmela if she remembered him whooping some dude's ass back in high school, and how impressed she looked, ha. Also liked his conversation with Christopher; *click*! Good start to the season, IMO.

Ataev is off, Yvel is fighting Shoji instead. Looks like Silva/Vov was never really confirmed either as Wandy is OFF the card. So the two most interesting fights are now nixed. For those brave enough to spend 40.00 on this card, enjoy -
Payton has only averaged less than 10 ppg three times in his career and less than 5 assists once. He averaged 19 and 7 for nine years in a row along with his all-NBA selections and All-Defensive selections. The closest Hardaway and KJ came to that was 4 years in a row a piece. Additionally, should Payton be punished for staying around longer and being healthy, as opposed to KJ, who would have more than likely stayed around if he hadn't have been hobbled in the latter part of his career by injury? It would have been likely, had he played, that he would have "deteriorated" at a faster rate than Gary due to his injuries. In conditions like this, I look at it two ways; their career and their peak. Since the three of them were about equal at their peak, career must come into consideration, and Gary has a significant edge over the other two in that area.
-
If I had to rank their chances, without this season being taken into consideration, it would look like this: 1. Shaquille O'Neal 2. Tim Duncan 3. Gary Payton 4. Kevin Garnett 5. Allen Iverson 6. Kobe Bryant 7. Jason Kidd 8. Steve Nash 9. Chris Webber 10. Grant Hill 11. Tracy McGrady 12. Dirk Nowitzki 13. Dikembe Mutombo 14. Ray Allen 15. Vince Carter 16. Alonzo Mourning 17. Paul Pierce 18. Ben Wallace Payton is definitely in; you don't finish in the top 10 in steals ten years in a row by not being able to play defense. As for the comparison between him and KJ and Hardaway (who's essentially guaranteed he's never getting anyway) take a look at the following: Points 1. Payton 2. Hardaway 3. Johnson Rebounds 1. Payton 2. Hardaway 3. Johnson Assists 1. Payton 2. Hardaway 3. Johnson All-NBA Teams 1. Payton 2. Hardaway and Johnson All-Star selections 1. Payton 2. Hardaway 3. Johnson Payton is the only one of the three to make All-Defensive first team, let alone NINE times straight. Scoring average: 1. Johnson 2. Hardaway 3. Payton, this is the only category where Payton finishes out of first. Not saying that Johnson and Hardaway weren't great players (they were), but Payton's career resume is overall much more impressive (remember, KJ started getting hurt right at the peak of his career) . If I were to throw Hardaway and KJ onto the list, Timmy would be between Nash and Webber, and KJ probably between Nowitzki and Mutombo.

I haven't seen this anywhere, but then again it was never totally confirmed on the website either, only on ChuteBoxe's. Would be great if Yvel were to fight Silva since Gilbert holds a long standing grudge against Silva. Ataev dropping out eliminates the second most interesting match on this card. Probably THE worst card on paper in Pride's history. At least Pride 9 had Belfort vs. Silva and Rodriguez vs. Goodridge, which were interesting at the time even though they didn't really deliver. And LOTC, Sentoryu wasn't DQ'd against Zulu, he lost by "KO," quote marks because it was one of the worst stoppages in MMA history, as Sentoryu was clearly able to continue. Geez, I'm starting to reach Lei Tong levels of cynicysm in my posts, -
Was anybody else happy to see Kate whoop Juliette's ass?

I guess you're right, but it just seems like every time a card like this is put out, MMA goes one step backwards. Just seeing Butterbean or Zulu in a fight just lowers the sport in the eyes of the average fan, IMO. It makes it seem like more of a circus than a sporting event when there are many mismatches and low-level fighters on a card.
