I knew as soon as the Redskins punted the ball in OT they were fucked, as easy as Bulger and the Rams moved the ball in the second half.

I would try DVD Shrink, just in case it is something wrong with the particular program you are running.

Vera is technically a better striker than Tim, but Tim does such a good job of using his size to his advantage that I think he will jab and straight/cross his way to a decision victory or get a KO. Same thing with Schilt in K-1, technically not the best striker, but still gets the job done due to his ability to use his size and use it well. -
I just think Frank should win this standing, as he's about fifty times better on the feet than Renzo, even though the latter is one of the "better" strikers in the Gracie clan. I think Frank's ground game is good enough to avoid anything that Renzo will throw at him, especially considering the time limits on the ground.
-
Ok, I must have misread it.
-
Anybody heard about the ground rules being implemented at this show? Supposedly, the fighters are only allowed 15 seconds on the ground before they are stood back up, which is a bunch of horseshit and pretty much assures us that Frank will win, if it wasn't apparent enough already.

I will go ahead and reiterate that Carmelo made a bitch move by "punching" Nate and then making it to half-court in record time. And if the Knicks are pissed that they are getting embarassed at home, maybe they should actually, you know, not let the other team get up by 20+ points. Tinsley bringing the dustpan into the brawl at the Palace just added to the over-the-topness of that brawl.

Probably THE Bill Goldberg, since he did a couple UFC's in the past. He actually wasn't that bad if you can believe it.

I think they said they were going to have some downtime for a few hours on the 10th, so that's probably what's up.

He also likes to mention how terrible Rich Franklin is, even going so far as to say Genki Sudo(!) could handle him in a match, and he even has the nuts to say that Sudo beat more top MW fighters than Franklin has, which I guess is a new mathematical discovery since zero would now be greater than itself. Basically, the guy's an idiot but he takes himself so seriously as a MMA expert that you can't just dismiss him as such and leave it at that, because he has the potential to impact other, less knowledgable people and make them just as moronic as he is. -

Somebody just told me the UFC was a second tier organization with lazy, sloppy fighters, with a few exceptions. Help me tear him a new asshole. Note: this guy is a bigtime Pride nuthugger -
No, you feed a guy with some name power to him first (like, say, Mir), THEN give him the title shot. Hey, it worked for Anderson Silva. This is true. Here's to hoping Vera beats Sylvia. I don't know, I've seen Cro Cop throw a high kick OVER Jan Nortje's head in K-1, and he's taller than Tim.

Another question about the rankings: I'm surprised Rich Franklin isn't a lot lower in some people's rankings. Not that I myself think he needs to be, I just hear a lot of people writing him off right now. -
Social disorganization theory. At least that's what I find the most interesting.
-
I just checked and I don't think it's for the title, though I might be wrong. Either way, this is awesome!

Any particular reason why Hendo is missing from your rankings, Lei? -

A lot of them count their amateur fights as well, with the difference being that amateur fights aren't paid while professional ones are. -
The one at the top looks EXACTLY like my cat, Ash. Named in honor of the Evil Dead character of course, but also for his (duh) color.

I'm putting money on the Titans, Ravens, Vikings, and Giants. Are these smart moves?

Here are three "old-school" K-1 matches for you guys, as promised (like a year ago). Ernesto Hoost vs. Peter Aerts (4/30/93) Andy Hug vs. Branco Cikatic (3/4/94) Andy Hug vs. Mike Bernardo (3/3/95) The matches are clipped slightly (maybe a minute or two), but I can't transfer my VHS copies to my computer, so I had to settle for the clipped versions from the Anniversary set. Let me know if you are having trouble with the links or you have questions in general concerning megaupload.
