I don't know, Fedor is probably the third biggest draw in Pride as far as non-native fighters go, behind Hunt (mainly due to winning the K-1 in 2001) and Cro Cop.

Usually 3 years is the buffer zone between whether or not wins or losses remain relevant to rankings, IMO.

It's not that I disagree, it's that I'm curious. UFC is (allegedly) making a push to revitalize the division, and I'm not sure that anyone cares about Sherk. I'm sure if he gets a couple more quality wins, he'll move up to at least 5 or 6, although I can't see him making any higher than that unless he returns to Japan.

I think the reason a lot of people don't have him ranked highly is because he's beaten one fighter that wasn't even top 10 in his weight class. Compared to the records of guys like Gomi, Kawajiri, etc. it doesn't hold up.

It all depends on how they take getting punched in the face. Werdum can take it, but guys like Jean Jacques Machado couldn't. Well, he could take it, but I guess essentially that's the problem, heh.

Those kicks CroCop landed on Hunt were absolutely disgusting. Given that everybody goes down to the LHK and Hunt stood up to it makes me think that you might be wrong about this. Cro Cop's foot was injured when they fought in Pride, hence the shoes. Watch their K-1 fight to see Hunt go down hard from the high kick. He got back up, but he wasn't the same for the remainder of the fight, even in the postfight comments!

The thing is Fedor probably wasn't expecting that kind of punch from Fujita. He KNOWS Hunt can pack a punch, so I doubt he'll be stupid enough to want to trade for very long with him.
