In all seriousness, the Fire Pro Wrestling series has had the funnest MMA simulator to date, IMO. Plus you can create just about anybody on there.

My Top 50 NBA Players of All-Time

Close, but I'm also one of those people who uses to stats to form his own opinion so an opinionated list by me would be negatively influenced by this particular list I just made, if that makes sense And feel free to post your own list, maybe we could argue stats vs. opinion or something to that effect.

Really, Sakurai? He's very strong, but I never considered him freakishly strong for his size. What kind of pro wrestling test of strength, arm wrestling? super pose down? Maybe it could end with a contract signing or a cake or trophy presentation resulting in a massive brawl?

Damn double post. While I'm at it, DRH you appear to be one of the few MMA posters from DVDR one can hold intelligent conversation with, welcome aboard to the small MMA clique at TSM, my friend.

I think Filho is HUGE for a MW. The man may be boring but he's a physical specimen that's for damn sure, quite possibly one of the strongest fighters pound for pound in MMA (I believe Hughes, Kid, and Rampage to be the top three.)

    UFC 62: Babalu Vs. Liddell...

I'd like to pick Babalu but he faces the same problem that Horn and every other fighter (excepting Rampage) has faced since the Couture loss: An inability to take Liddell down leading to them being knocked out on their feet, which is pretty much how the last fight between Chuck and Bablu went down. To Babalu's credit he did lean/duck into Chuck's kick, but I still don't see how this fight would be any different than the last. However, Sobral has stayed pretty active since that loss, winning a tough tournament and beating a couple of decent fighters in the cage as well. We'll just have to see.

He's kind of like a smaller Heath Herring, but with more skill. He always puts on good fights and can usually beat C and sometimes B level fighters, but usually loses to top rung opponents. Kind of like a JTTS in the fight world to use an *ugh* wrestling analogy.

    UFC 62: Babalu Vs. Liddell...

GSP almost KO'd Hughes in the 1st fight and since then GSP has improved greatly. He was to 1st man to ko Sean Shrek, he submitted Frank Trigg, and he showed his heart and his will to win against BJ Penn. I just feel like George St. Pierre will not give Hughes the same respect he gave him the 1st fight. He's a much better smarter fighter now then, and I just feel he's going to capture the title. Hughes will not takedown GSP. I just don't see how someone who is probably the number two best pound for pound fighter in the world be considered an underdog by almost everyone who has picked on this fight so far. I understand the hold GSP and his charisma and fighting style hold over people, but it's Matt Hughes people!

I don't think he really needs to work on subs, and I don't think he's stupid enough to stand with Manhoef standing either. Manhoef doesn't exactly have the best conditioning ever and he's never really fought anyone who could be considered "dangerous" with subs, let alone someone like Newton.

    Is this RIGHT ??

I let someone borrow it and they lost it

Hey, I have a completely different view on it now that BJ is out. But if it leads to Saku/Newton II I'm all for it. My God, Oyama and Rodrigo has the potential to be hideously boring. I don't think Manhoef will murder Newton either. Newton should weather Melvin's early flurry until he gasses then take him down and sub him. Wouldn't surprise me if it is under a round either. Is it under MMA rules or K-1 rules??? MMA, all of these fights are under K-1's HEROES (MMA) banner. Manhoef has fought under K-1 rules before, though, impressively mauling Tatsufumi Tomihara before pulling himself from the tourney with an injury.

Supposedly it's his father that's behind it, right? I think Kid may be a bit too "old" to come back to amateur wrestling.

    Shamrock vs. Frye

I have it and I could probably get it up sometime soon. It's not that bad, the first and third rounds are pretty good but the second sucks. Good enough for what it is.

So I've never heard much of Joy Division, but I dig the Cure and the Smiths and other "big-name" 80s indy rock bands, so should I like them?

You weight 154? Go spar Gomi or Joachim Hansen. You've got more boxing experience than them so I assume you could take them.

Was Davey Boy really all that good?

This is pretty much the definition of "average." Good matches with good workers, terrible ones with terrible workers.

Really? Their last three albums plus a few selected songs from their early work aren't too harsh. Maybe you should listen to Warehouse: Songs and Stories for some good power pop/alt rock.

I know I could easily outbox Chuck if he has the same stance he has for MMA, in boxing. I have very good head movement and his looping punches wouldn't connect. But if he landed anything, I would be KO'd no question because he is a much bigger and stronger man then me. MMA standards he has great stand-up, but should he enter boxing, any journeyman or anyone with decent skills would knock him out, most likely. And I don't hate Chuck at all, I have nothing against him, I respect him alot. There's nothing to hate about him, he seems like a stand up guy in interviews(Even though a buddy of mine who is an MMA fighter says he's cocky in real life). He has one of the best MMA career's possibly of all time. If I was hater, I would say he would stand no chance with Silva, but I said the fight is 50/50 to me. Bullshit, he's been in the ring in front of thousands of people 20+ times against opponents that are a thousand times better than the 40 year old washed up boxers you spar against. I don't reckon he'd have any trouble outboxing you and then knocking your block off.

    Fucking petty ass neighbors.

Just break a toothpick off in their deadbolt when no one's home. It will take at least a hundred to fix.

Yeah, I got the Springsteen vibe too. Not terrible or anything, but Bruce has fifty songs with better lyrics and music than this so I'll just listen to them. Inc. was right when he said that there hasn't been a great American rock band since Hüsker Dü broke up. Where's the innovation, the originality?
