MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

I still don't see the hype in Vera. He's beat a couple JTTS and that's it. Somebody convince me that he's something special. -

Rampage will be back, fuck all the haters In other news, some interesting names have been released for the K-1 LHWGP (185). Some very interesting names, although Lei will probably refute that statement and say everyone on the list is a bum or washed up but I digress You can check it out here. -
Yeah, I took that but it was during the regular semester. Fast track Spanish, ugh. C- for me, but at least I killed off all of my foreign language requirements in one semester.

Really, Mourning only fucked over one team, the Raptors. Yeah, I don't give a shit about them either.
-
It's nice to see Mourning and Payton get titles. Especially Mourning with all the adversity regarding his kidney problems.

Where were the refs when Dallas won the first two games? Miami deserves this title if they win it, which it looks like they will.

Ended up with only 16 bands but I believe it's enough to have a good tournament. Here are the matchups: Iron Maiden vs. Iced Earth Sepultura vs. Megadeth Pantera vs. Dream Theater Judas Priest vs. Helloween Black Sabbath vs. In Flames Slayer vs. Ozzy Osbourne Metallica vs. Emperor Motörhead vs. Anthrax

Surprisingly, I looked around for places in Miami for you VX and couldn't find anything either. It appears that Tampa is the hot spot for beer in Florida, although it's quite a ways away from Miami, IIRC.

OH MY GOD!!! IT'S A GHOST CAR!!!!

Yeah, I can get it for 9.99 for a four pack. I just like it enough to spend that much, and yes, the ram thingies rule! As a matter of fact, if they sold that stuff in 1.49 40 oz like they do King Cobra, 95% of the country would be drunks.

If you like that Inc., try and find some of their 90 minute IPA. One of my top ten favorite beers. I've had it and I do like it, though not as much as the 60. The 60 has a stronger hop flavor—which is odd, considering—and I love really hoppy stuff. Have you had their 120? It's...okay. A little too much like gin, I think. The only time I had it, I was splitting a 12oz bottle with a friend; it took me about 20 minutes to finish just six ounces, which makes me think I could never take a whole bottle. Their World Wide Stout, in spite of being almost as strong as the 120, is very, very drinkable. I can't wait until its available again. If I'm not mistaken it comes out in November. I mentioned it already but I can't recommend it enough: Ayinger's Celebrator Dopplebock. I praise it because it was the beer that turned me off of the crap beer that I had been drinking and on to higher quality import and domestics.

KFC's like Pizza Hut in the sense that every time you have their "food," you swear you're never eating there again. Then a few months later your grease tank needs a fill-up so you return only to repeat this magical process again. I feel the same way about Wendy's. I don't know, I really liked the bowl. DEFINITELY not something you want to be eating every day, or hell, every week, but still good for what it is. And there's just a sprinkle of chesse on there, not like a whole mound or anything. I really dig their boneless wings. Well, depending on how old they are, but when they're freshly cooked with a good coating of buffalo sauce they're great.

Victory Hop Devil is great, I agree C-Dubya. I'm ready for Dog Fish Head to rerelease their seasonal World Wide Stout with 18% alcohol baby.

Better list than I thought, surprised that Juvy/Rey wasn't WAAAY higher. Well, it was a spotfest but then again this is ECW we're talking about.

Time once again for TSM to pick the greatest heavy metal band, here's the rules: Nominate up to ten bands The 32 with the most nominations (or 64 if enough votes are cast) will be seeded No arguing over what is and what isn't metal, if it gets enough nominations it's in. The last one a couple of years ago kind of sucked, mostly because of my mishandling of, here's to hoping this one's better!
-
Metallica's run from '83 to '91 (arguably) is only topped by Sabbath's '70 to '75 run, IMHO.
-
Why didn't you nominate S.O.D, Corey? I figured they would have gotten a few nominations. I guess they only have two albums with only one being a real classic.

Heavy Metal Band Tournament: Nomination Thread
AboveAverage484 replied to AboveAverage484's topic in Music
I don't know, Sabbath is about as metal as you can get. Just listen to "Hole in the Sky" and the riffs off of Master of Reality and see how heavy this band is compared to bands that claim to be metal today. Almost done compiling results, plenty thanks go out to the jokesters and trolls who have made it ten times harder to sort out actual nominations from fake ones. -
Didn't Skynyrd use a twin guitar approach? Their first album was in '73, IIRC.

Quote from my buddy at kakutougi.info, or ( o Y o ) as some of you know him Hopefully this will reassure a few people.
