I'm watching Newton/Matsui right now. What a fun fight, one of my top ten favorite Pride fights.

Ken's coaching methods are... interesting. He even admitted he only knows leglocks and brawling. No wonder he loses all the time. I usually respect your opinion, but I don't see how you can say Quinton sucks. I think a move to UFC would revitalize him both physically and mentally not to mention his style would work more to his advantage in the cage. He has adequate enough standup, his takedowns are some of the best in the game, his wrestling is good, he's good in the clinch (unless he's against Chute Box), and he's never been subbed except by Kazushi Sakuraba in his first fight on the big stage. His only losses are against the previously mentioned Sakuraba, the LHW champion Silva, and the LHW tourney winner Shogun, so saying Quinton sucks, even kind of sucks, is pretty off base right now. Maybe it's because I ride Quinton's nuts like Rudo rides Shogun's but whatever,

I don't know, Filho has excellent takedowns, but Dan is a world class wrestler, though that didn't stop Arona from taking him down at will in their fight. However, the weight disparity would be lessened if Filho were to fight Dan. Damn Filho has excellent takedowns and ground control, but he grounded and pounded like a girl, damn.

I would say the quality of Pride's fighters are a little bit higher, if only because of their bigger pocketbook. UFC does possess most of the top American fighters, however. The match quality is roughly the same. If anything, I would say the overall quality of the UFC cards has been higher than the Prides as of late, discounting the Bushidos (Pride's side attraction, mostly showcasing fighters 185 pounds and less.

I'm kind of hoping that when Tony recovers, him and Chris just go and clean out the crew of all the unfaithful members, leading to an implosion that ends the season and the series with one or both of them in jail, or Chris in command of a skeleton crew. I really figured they would expand the "A.J. wanting to kill Uncle Junior" storyline, but they kind of cut it off. I can understand Silvio's sudden allergies, sometimes people's health problems get worse when their faced with added pressure. Up to now, the only stresses Sil has had have been keeping his titty bar up and running. Edie Falco and Jamie Lynn-Siegler have both been great so far.
