It was free, and for the record it sucked. Going to see Ja Rule had more to do with the girl I went with. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If she listens to Ja Rule I think it's time to kick her to the curb

what in the fuck did she do to you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She gave me an STD

Shit, Hashimoto's dead. That really fucking sucks, DVDR is probably verging on suicide and I can't blame them. I didn't watch much puro but this is some really shitty news.

Someone needs to UL Ninja/Matsui. Matsui was on the wrong end of some pretty bad beatings (Silva/Igor/Belfort), but this was the first time someone just absolutely murdered him in the ring. This is the greatest beatdown fight of all time.

Top 10 Most Anticipated College Football games
AboveAverage484 replied to Damaramu's topic in Sports
I totally agree with you on this Georgia has a ton of people suspended for the first game of the season, so Boise can beat them. Another game I am looking forward to is the Washington-Notre Dame game. Look for Wilingham's revenge to beging on the Irish. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hopefully, I fucking HATE Notre Dame more than any other team except Auburn and Tennessee. -
Usually you can post comments after someone uploads a torrent. Pretty much just post on there and beg for seeders. Best thing is, DL the file as soon as its posted, that way you will have more peers to help complete your download. If you wait too long, there won't be many seeders. I imagine that there are considerably less seeders for the ECW PPV seeing as how it was a couple weeks ago, and that may be your problem.

AoO you fucking definitely, DEFINITELY need to see Don Frye vs. Yoshihiro Takayam from Pride 21, two guys just beating the fucking hell out of each other mercilessly. Another good beatdown fight is from Pride 13, Wanderlei Silva vs. Kazushi Sakuraba, where Silva just lays the most brutal beatdown humanly possible in one and a half minutes. Here's some other great beatdowns, brawls, and barnburners: Igor vs. Enson from Pride 10 Frye vs. Abbott from Ultimate Ultimate '96 Rutten vs. Funaki from the Pancrase Anniversary Show, where Rutten just beats the shit out of Funaki but he won't quit. Ortiz vs. Shamrock where Tito pounds Ken for three (?, can't remember) brutal rounds. Most of Tank's wins. Ninja vs. Matsui from Pride 16 is the greatest "prolonged beatdown match" in the history of MMA. Jackson vs. Ishikawa is tons of fun packed into a minute or two. Rizzo vs. Barnett is a really great standup fight, 100% of the match is fought on the feet. I'm sure there are some beatdowns from Shooto that I can't think of right now, does Trigg vs. Machado count as Shooto? Anyway, these are some great beatdown fights.

You've got a client right?, like TorrentStorm or something like that? Sometimes it won't download if there are no seeders. Look on the website you downloaded it from and it usually lists the number of seeders (people who have the complete file and are sharing it) and leechers (people who are currently downloading the file). The better the ratio of seeders to leechers, the faster the download. Hopefully that cleared some questions up.

Any album with a song titled "Fuck the Ying Yang Twins" is fine with me. Even if it is by the group. Ahem. I didn't know that this was actually a Ying Yang Twins release.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
AboveAverage484 replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
From what I heard Tokoro should probably have won the decision after regulation, but I guess they gave Pequeno the benefit of the doubt being the Shooto champ and all. I've also heard the fight may have been stopped a little early so I guess everything balances out. -
Reminds of that part in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" where Sean Penn walks in on the robbery and the other guy throws coffee in the robber's face.

Forgot all about Maeda, VERY influential, moreso than Takada, IMO. Isn't Kondo a top ten fighter? Still, that would only be two fighters but Igor is one of those people whose record doesn't necessarily affect his impact on the sport, IMO. Him and Sakuraba have the two biggest permanent bandwagons in MMA, and he's one of the most beloved fighters in MMA history. Everybody likes Igor.

Ok, here's my MMA Hall of Fame nominees: Sakuraba Rutten Royce Gracie Couture Frank Shamrock Ken Shamrock Fedor Nogueira Wanderlei Vovchanchyn Coleman Funaki B.J. Penn

I can't see DSE letting Fedor and Rizzo fight on some "upstart" show, but you never know. Fedor would probably murder Rizzo. -
New Fire Pro Coming out in September!
AboveAverage484 replied to AboveAverage484's topic in Video Games
Yes it's for PS2, but I actually liked the Dreamcast controller better. I think Xbox would be a better controller for Fire Pro now that the DC is defunct. -
http://www.spike.co.jp/fr/ Check out the movies section, this looks awesome! Hopefully they will have some MMA style stuff on it.

Final Conflict is in August. Quarry's win over Carter is to be taken with a grain of salt, IMO. Quarry fights at MW, while Carter normally fights at WW, but it's still fairly impressive. And in late July is the K-1 MAX tournament, which I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend to watch if you can get ahold of it. A-class fighters all the way, and light years better than the K-1 HW's.

Taktarov, Shamrock, Goodridge, and Yvel are good fighters, not "great" but good. Besides, Severn has pretty much the same resume; Taktarov, Shamrock, and Tank being his big wins. Frye was way more well rounded, way more exciting, and he was way more influential than Severn. Respect is due to Severn for fighting at fifty fucking years old.

EDIT: WAit, that's, like, 12 sides. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess FPZ did have it, slightly modified however. I don't see why UFC would tell them to take it off, after all, King of the Cage, Cage Rage, and others use cages too. -
I would definitely include Frye, over Severn at least.
-
I figured if Ishii was included, Hoost, Aerts, and Hug would be as well.

New Fire Pro Coming out in September!

MMA's been in Fire Pro for quite a while now, although they've called it "Gruesome" mode a lot. The one thing that has my curiosity is to see if they do octagons still. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think they left the Octagon out in Fire Pro Z didn't they? -
Here are the top 50 players of my generation, 1984 to the present day. Only players whose whole careers encompassed that span are eligible. I made the list more in terms of career performance rather than peak performance, so players like Garnett or Kobe aren't as high as they would be if I did this list five years from now. Here they are: 50. Charles Oakley 49. Mookie Blaylock 48. Antoine Walker 47. Alvin Robertson 46. Otis Thorpe 45. Vin Baker 44. Kevin Willis 43. Brad Daugherty 42. Terry Porter 41. Paul Pierce 40. Anfernee Hardaway 39. Glen Rice 38. Detlef Schrempf 37. Vince Carter 36. Latrell Sprewell 35. Stephon Marbury 34. Ray Allen 33. Mark Jackson 32. Dennis Rodman 31. Alonzo Mourning 30. Mark Price 29. Dirk Nowitzki 28. Steve Nash 27. Shawn Kemp 26. Joe Dumars 25. Dikembe Mutombo 24. Tracy McGrady 23. Chris Mullin 22. Kevin Johnson 21. Grant Hill 20. Reggie Miller 19. Chris Webber 18. I'm guessing since you mentioned the four rope ring, MMA will be included?
