Am I the only one who thinks the Packers could keep this game within the stratosphere scoring wise? Their defense is pretty good, better than the Eagles, and they have the advantage of playing at Lambeau (though it's not scrotum-tightening cold there yet) as well as the motivation of beating a team whom many believe is Super Bowl bound.

Oh, most definitely give it a shot. It has a malty, roasty, chocolate, coffee, caramel type of taste. It's pretty common for an import beer as well; you won't find at supermarkets, but most beer/wine specialty shops I've been to have it. Kind of pricey though, 13.49 for a 4 pack around here.

This may be a dumb question, but this is for paying customers not just troops, right? If so, I'll try and land some tix for this. Have never been to a UFC and this would be the first time in AGES one has been held in NC. -
Added: Paul Slowinski vs. Aziz Jahjah from the K-1 Hawaii GP in early August.

This stuff is the shit, I had it for the first time in more than a year the other day. Drank it like water. I love it.

Tzar loves King Diamond. -
Yeah, but he's been cutting weight all his life you know... And he's ready to fight Chuck Liddell. And Anderson Silva. Right now. Just give him 500 bucks. Right now.

Ultimate Fight Night 15: Diaz vs Neer

Schafer's a prick, there's no need for the post fight mocking. Does he not realize they were booing him because Houston is the home town guy? Good fight while it lasted though. -
And I thought the Broncos/Chargers game was nuts. It's only the 2nd quarter and this game has proven to have even more twists and turns, what with this DeSean Jackson craziness and all.
-
I root for the Denver Broncos because before Carolina had a team I had to root for someone. I picked them mainly because my dad liked them (don't know why) and they've remained my faves ever since.

UFC 88: Breakthrough - Liddell vs. Evans

Oh man, what a shot. Rashad's relatively small size conceals how much strength he actually possesses. Chuck leaving his lead hand down finally caught up with him. -
Wow, six of the seven Big 10 games are 14 points or less. This could be disastrous for the conference, though more than likely all of them will come back and win.

Randy Couture signs new 3 fight contract with UFC

I don't know if we can say at this point that Brock has learned from his mistakes because: (a) Heath doesn't have the submission skills that Mir has, so we don't know if Brock is any less susceptible to subs, and (b) We've yet to learn if Brock's learned from his other mistake, not finishing off an opponent when he is in a dominating position for practically the entire fight, because that was his last fight. Yeah, I'm considering that a mistake, because a fighter with more ability than Heath might take advantage of Brock's inability to finish them by coming back with a sub or a KO. -

Just blame it all on T.K. If he wouldn't have ruined the Rings tournament back in the day we might not be having this discussion -

Brock isn't anywhere near ready for Randy yet, IMHO. -
Totally not trying to be a smart ass here, but I know you're a UT fan so here goes: What does the Tennessee squad this year have to offer that they didn't have last year when they got ass raped 45-17? If the Bama squad from last year cut up the UT secondary like Swiss cheese I could only imagine what they will do if they look as good as they did last night. Of course this could all depend on how good Clemson really is, but that will be hard to tell because they play the schedule two vaginas would make in the weeks leading up to Bama playing Georgia. I could feel people jumping on the bandwagon when the game was only 6-0, so I don't want the hype machine to go out of control either. Give us a UT football preview Art, so I'll know what to expect come that last weekend in October.

Bama has looked good so far, but their relative inability to punch the ball into the endzone against Clemson (who had a shaky red zone defense last year) has me somewhat worried. Also, Clemson has shown signs of life in the passing game and with the caliber of athletes that they possess, one big play and the momentum could swing. Running game has looked great; Ingram has basically come out of nowhere and Coffee looked good in the first as well. People were pegging Terry Grant as a top 20 back, but I only saw him once the entire first half.

This thread has been around for four years and nobody's mentioned Jake Roberts slapping Elizabeth?!

You probably get asked this all the time, but have you been to the Rogue brewery? Chocolate Stout was another college fave.

I've did heavy Muay Thai training for a good three or four years until I moved away from my gym. There is a good one here (Raleigh, NC), but I'd like to get a job with a little bit better income before joining it. I always thought I could be pretty successful at the amateur level if I trained and fought regularly, but unfortunately I haven't been able to do so yet. I'm a lanky bastard so my wrestling is shit. I've done a little bit of BJJ here and there, enough to know the basic holds and escapes as well as passes and reversals but I'm still probably far from competent. I have quick reactions and pretty good flexibility to go with "rubber limbs" so I'm not as handicapped defense wise as most people in my position would be. Pretty much stand up only for me. -
I didn't think we were rollin' high class here! Good, I got some imported and micro brewed faves to throw at y'all once this thing rolls back around. Hop Devil was a standard for me in the college years. Asheville was cool because they sold shit like this at Ingle's at a decent price, so if all the good specialty beer stores were closed, I'd be able to hop in the car and drive down the street and get some quality stuff late.

Dependable enough whenever I go to a bar/restaurant with a poor selection. Usually this is available for me to fall back on so I don't have to go with one of the beasts. Plus my good friend bought me a 12 pack for my birthday this past year. I asked her why she chose Newcastle and she replied that it's what she always sees me drink when I go out, so there ya go.

As an Alabama fan, I'm technically not supposed to like LSU but I hope they destroy Appalachian State just to prove once again that the SEC is superior to the Big Ten. Well, I guess it really doesn't prove anything in the long run, but it's something I can point to when comparing my favorite conference to my most hated.
