With the exception of Pulver, Silva will be Gomi's biggest test so far in Pride. In related news, Kawajiri and Hansen appear to be out of the GP later this year, apparently because they will be fighting for the Shooto belt beforehand. I think this nicely sets up a match between the winner of that fight and the winner of the GP. Hansen is bad-ass but I hope my man Kawajiri (edges Hansen in bad-ass factor) wins so the highly anticipated match between him and Gomi will become more of a reality. (Based on the assumption that Gomi will win the GP.

I don't think McBride gains much respect from the fight world in this. Tyson won rounds 4 and 5 and I think he quit just because he didn't want to gas out later on in the fight and get KO'd. It almost looked like he wanted to get DQ'ed because he kept throwing headbutts and grabbing McBride's arm. Tyson is pretty much finished now, though.

Tyson in under two, McBride is pretty terrible.

Seasons of da Sicness is a really good album, Brotha Lynch Hung can rap pretty good as well, so it's not like he's completely untalented. Inspectah Deck has a really good solo album, "Uncontrolled Substance". I'd place it in the top ten of Wu-Tang related projects. On an unrelated note, I've been killing the GZA's "Liquid Swords" album lately. If half of the rap that came out today was as good as this, I'd be buying a lot more rap than I do.

If Nogueira can't carry someone's ass to a good fight, I don't know who can. I've honestly never seen a boring Rodrigo or Rogerio fight, you can't fuck around when you're fighting them, I guess that's the reason.

Maeda has signed Alexandre Franca "Pequeno" Nogueira to fight at the next HERO's card. I guess that means he's moving up in weight, he also has the best guillotine choke in the business, with seven of his twelve wins coming from that particular move.

Hallman broke Trigg's knee with a heel hook so it looks like the GSP/Trigg fight for August 6th on Spike is off.
