For info on any of these bands, I highly recommend allmusic.com. It has a biography and reviews on all their CD's as well a "recommended CD" by them to get you started on the band.

My homepage changes to some ad site every time I restart my computer. Is there any way to get of this and SpyWare and the rest of that "Ware" junk? Thanks in advance.

When you order a WWE PPV through digital cable
AboveAverage484 replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in Technology
...And here's how: 1. Cable from wall IN to box. 2. The extension cable OUT to IN spot on VCR. 3. Another extension cable OUT of VCR to IN on TV. 4. Your TV will prob'ly be set on 4 for the box, so turn your VCR on too. 5. Put tape in and record. Hope that helps, BTW, the extension cable is the the rubber cable cord with the wire in it. -
In high school, I used to have a running joke with my friends where all points counted twice and turnovers were divided in half. And what's the big deal with having 20+ boards in a women's game? They shoot like 10% from the floor anyways. And this is just from high school VARSITY basketball. I can only imagine the wretchedness I would feel at watching JV.

Shit, this is better than last week's show, man! Jimmy falling into a pit of his own misery with Platoon's theme song playing in the background! I laughed my ass off at Jimmy and his dad's verbal exchanges. -

Cool. I don't see Predator, Leko, or Sentoryu making it past the first round, though. It's pretty tough when you have your second, first, and first MMA fights respectively in a GP tourney that includes Fedor, Nog, Cro Cop, Herring, and Igor. -

Well you're kinda right and kinda wrong. Hunt actually WAS picked up off the streets. He used to be a bouncer and someone witnessed him roughing some people up and said he should try out for K-1. Though he has WAY more class than Tank does. And Thais don't fight in K-1 becuase all the good Thai fighters are less than 160 pounds. There aren't too many Thais that weight more than 205. BTW, here's who I would like to see in the GP: Antonio Nogueira Bob Sapp Fedor Emelianenko Heath Herring Igor Vovchanchyn Josh Barnett Kazuyuki Fujita Mark Coleman Mark Kerr Mirko Cro Cop Pedro Rizzo Semmy Schilt Sergei Kharitonov Tim Sylvia Tom Erikson Yoshihiro Takayama -

Basically all strikes are allowed except: headbutts, forearms, elbows, strikes to the groin, and strikes to the back of the head. Limited clinching. Regular matches are five 3 minute rounds, and tournament matches are three 3 minute rounds. Three knockdown rules is in effect. When a fighter falls, the referee must clarify whether it is a down or a slip. Sometimes the lines are blurred, but usually the refs keep it pretty consistent. A down will constitute a ten count. If the fighter doesn't answer the ten count or the referee deems the fighter unfit to continue the match will be stopped. If a fighter is "out on his feet", he will be given a standing eight count. That's pretty much it. Also, the glory years of K-1 were '96-'99. Pretty much any show from that era is excellent at best or decent at worst. I have my own K-1 compilation tapes, so if your interested, drop me a line. Beware, though, because I promised some poster I would send him a Pride tape free of charge a month or two ago and I haven't even copied it yet. -

I have all the Prides up to 18 on DVD and have rented most, if not all, of the pre-UFC 15 tapes from Blockbuster. After that, I haven't seen much UFC except for UFC Hits and such. Should K-1 be included in this, cuz I really, really, dig it, even though it's no where near as good as it was in '96 - '99. -
That would be Queen, "The Prophet's Song."

Okay, first off, we're viewing the term "metal" as being subjective, yet again. Secondly, this is just for fun. Okay, now here's how it's done. I'll post a list of bands, and all you have to do, is cut and paste the list in your post and say how many albums of each band that you have. Double albums count twice, boxed sets are based on how many MUSIC discs are contained in it. For example, DVD's that come with boxed sets do not count. I'll be awarding points based on how many CD's you have of each band, and how important that band is to metal (or hard rock) in general. So if you have a shit load of Sabbath, Metallica, and Maiden CD's, you should consider yourself a front-runner. Here's the list; and please, no complaining if your favorite band isn't included, this is just for fun, and I needed 50 bands. AC/DC Accept Aerosmith Alice Cooper Anthrax Black Sabbath Blue Öyster Cult Deep Purple Def Leppard Dio Dream Theater Guns N' Roses Helloween Iced Earth Iron Maiden Jimi Hendrix Experience Judas Priest Kiss Led Zeppelin Manowar Megadeth Mercyful Fate Metal Church Metallica Mötley Crüe Motörhead Ozzy Osbourne Pantera Queen Queensryche Quiet Riot Rainbow Ratt Riot Rush Savatage Saxon Scorpions Sepultura Skid Row Slayer Testament Thin Lizzy Twisted Sister UFO Uriah Heep Van Halen Venom W.A.S.P. Whitesnake

I have come to the conclusion that bootlegs, burned CD's, and singles don't count. I know I have a few supporters on that front. Adjust your collections accordingly. -

I figured the term metalhead would be controversial, but I couldn't think of a better term. The guy who would have the most patches on his jean jacket, the longest hair, can't hear out of one ear, etc. Whatever you would call that guy, that's what the winner would be called. In the "hard-rock head" standings: gangsteruwa: 3317 Fear Havoc: 2270 Corey_Lazarus: 2111 benoitrulz4life: 1785
