Actually, for NHL/NBA you must rack up the most stats in each category. So you need to beat that person for the most categories. At least that's what the original rules stat. Personally, I want to play it so you just have to kick the crap out of my said opponent. Not get lucky and land a 7-0 and basically fuck everyone over as I jump out to a great start. It says that you beat the person if you get the most statistical categories, but in the NHL Smarks League, I know this isn't true. As I beat the Leafs (my opponents) with a 9-7-1 record and ended up with that as my recorded. Not just 1-0-0. Oh bloody hell... *just finished reading rules regarding Head-To-Head* It's the exact same for weekly. Dammit. That means we get stuck with the 7 "games" winning strat. 147 "games" leaves a lot of room for err. I mean, you'd have to have everyone get a lot of 5-2, 5-1-1, 4-3-0, 4-2-1 combos to make it look even close.

Sorry. Giving up 8 runs in a single inning in still no excuse for crying foul on the fan. It's like saying "oh, we (hockey team) only got 12 GOOD shots at our opposing team's net, 4 per period". Shit like that just doesn't cut it. Oh and for the reference, see the Vancouver vs. Oilers game at GM Place that happened before tonight's game. Did anyone ever notice that "gasp" no one was making excuses for the lack luster play? Shit, the fucking Coach (MacT) came down hard on the Oilers for the fucking bullshit they put on. You know the reason why everyone's not bitching about the 8 run blow up? Because it wasn't the whole game. If it was the whole game, you would hear the story of "oh, that guy wouldn't have mattered." Seriously, he DOESN'T MATTER~! Yes, it's an out, but you know what? When playing any sport, you still need to be accountable for fucking up. Shit, so the fan screwed up. The Cubs fucked up 10 times worse by letting it bother them when they were in the driver's seat. Should the Cubs win game 7, if they let shit like that knock them up badly, then how the fucking hell do you expect them to win the Series?

Ok. I thought I should bring it up to people's attention just as a detractor between draft picks. Something to think about is all. Although the league is currently set as a daily league, I'd just thought I should bring something to everyone's attention. As I just found out with my Hockey league, daily is quite differently done than weekly. I'm borrowing from the NFL league, so I might be wrong about this. I'm playing theoriest here. For example, you set up your rosters for the weekly against your said opponent and whoever has the most points wins (or has the most categories where they've got more points). So if I've got 4 of the 7 categories won between my weekly matchup against Gotham Harlequins, I win that match up between us two and become 1-0-0. Well, as I found out in the NHL Smarks League that is running daily, if I've got 4 of the 7 categories, I don't win the head-to-head matchup. But rather, I win those statistical categories. Hence, instead of 1-0-0, I'm 4-3-0. Now, this may not seem like a big deal. But let's put it this way. There are 7 categories and 21 weeks (before playoffs) which is a total of 147 "games" to be played out basically. That's a lot of tracking to think about and trying to place. Why do I bring this up? Because I just want to know if people want to depend more on the actual winnings of categories between the person they are playing (going 7-0 at best), or not depending on scoring the most categories against the person (4-3 at most). Not only that, what if your team has a cold spell? Instead of losing one single game, you could lose 7. On the flip side, you win 7 instead of only one. I just sorta realized this after playing out my NHL season last week and thinking about it. If I would've known about this sooner, and actually took the time to think about it, I wouldn't be making such a big deal out of it. Now then, this is assuming that weekly plays along the lines of NFL format does. So if a lot of thought went into this. I'm really nervous about Thursday, and trying to keep my mind busy. Really sorry if I brought this up for nothing.

Depends on the extent of the ACL and MCL tears. If they aren't like totalled, then he might be able to get back before the playoffs.
