Compilations are excluded for the simple fact that they are basically rehashes. Remakes are included but only if they produce a brand spanking new game. Like Resident Evil on GC isn't the same as the original Resident Evil. However, if something is just re-released like Shining Force on GBA which is the same game but with the addition of some new characters that don't do anything really do anything to make a different game, then no this type of remake doesn't get included.
