  1. Except we will see the fallout for years to come. And there won't be a federation(s) that will be able to step up to the plate and get a chance to do so in our lifetime if the WWE does collapse.
  2. And what does he do when they aren't using him? God only knows Anglesault. Frankly, I'm neither impressed with the decision nor do I want them to do what they feel like, but the WWE feels the need to do such. It's just not getting any better. I mean, here's what you've got for each show. Raw Main Eventers Triple H (Champion) Chris Benoit (dependant on success at Mania) Shawn Michaels (if they need him, they'll use him) Bill Goldberg (if they actually go out of their way to resign him) Kane (if they actually promote him) RVD or Booker T or Edge (if they actually go out of their way to bring one of these guys up, and assuming Edge gets traded) Smackdown Main Eventers Eddie Guerrero (Champion) Undertaker Big Show A-Train (can they actually build him up into main eventer calibre) Angle (if they don't make him become Michaels the Smackdown Version) Edge (if he doesn't get traded) RVD or Booker T (assuming they get traded for Edge) Seriously, that's the line up for Main Eventers. Besides FOUR people, there are no main eventers that will be permenant or believable (depending on who you look at).
  3. Who wants to make a bet that Torrie was making some absolutely nasty comments about Lesnar that Sable took offense too. Shit that makes me want to know if the woman's tag match can go off ok. Simmons and Show go at it? Show standing up to the office? Why do I get the suspesion that the office said something that was particularly unfounded and Simmons, which got Show involved. Geezus, this is like the ultimate breakdown of the WWE at works from the looks of things.
  4. Yes, you take him out of the mains is counterproductive. However, they can make Angle into Michaels. Use him when you need him too, which isn't half bad (as Michaels apparently is still over, isn't he?) as it would be if he's completely gone. At least he's there if you can't push someone up.
  5. There are 2 ways to explain..... 1. HHH must stay strong to build to next year.....probably WILL happen 2. Seeing as Lesnar quit because he wanted to be able to walk when he got older....why would they push someone that won't be able to walk in some time? Ok... Option #1 not only is counter productive, then we'll have NO ONE who will be built up to be able to beat Triple H. Shit, I doubt Michaels will have any pops by next year if that were to happen. And hell, if you can't get pops out of Michaels, there will be NO hope. Unless you built up someone going through the other wrestlers to be on the same equal page as Triple H. Last I checked, Triple H doesn't really care for anyone to be on his level. As for option two that's already a chance at happening. After all, it went from Benoit and HHH to Benoit, Michaels and HHH. Besides, most people assume that Triple H is retaining, and then will squash Benoit at Backlash. Hell, even I've given up on Benoit ever getting the title at this point.
  6. Ok. First of all, you are saying that not only Orton goes over, but also RVD? Excuse me but while I could believe Orton, I doubt RVD goes to SD. RVD will never go to SD because the WWE will not allow a person who gets the dead crowds on RAW to give off some heat to any match that apparently won't have any with another person in it. As for Orton, it is a toss up. But they'd still have to build up to it and unless they want to do the automatic force down our throats (if they WWE really wanted too, they can do much worse with Orton), then they'd just rather build up stars on Smackdown.
  7. Ok... No offense, but how does that make any sense. Right now the WWE needs to push a ton of stars, and frankly, not giving the World Title to Benoit wouldn't be good as the amount of credible main eventers is dwindling big time.
  8. If you do that, you'd also have to have the WWE willing to promote Goldberg as bad ass monster like Lesnar. Please excuse me while I have no faith in that whatsoever, since Lesnar didn't get that when he needed the build into this match against Goldberg. WWE needs to start having the famous WCW 60 second Goldberg squash matches. Against Cruiserweights. Hey... at least they'd get on TV. And then we end up with the problem of Goldberg once again being that "unstoppable force". Except, this time Triple H will get him in a match at Wrestlemania XXI against Orton and when Orton goes over Goldberg, it'll be played up as that Orton is better than Goldberg and the rest of the SD roster. Which then makes Smackdown which looks inferior right now, to down right pathetic in that situation in the eyes of the marks.
  9. What's new is that it would become his personal playground as Triple H is wanting to get Orton over no matter what. We'd end up with Triple H and Orton continually playing one-squashman-ship every single night till Wrestlemania XXI. Frankly, I don't ever want to see that happen. It makes sense storyline wise, but I don't want to actually see it happen.
  10. Since Lesnar wants time off I doubt that TNA can actually provide him with enough incentives to swiftly come back and shock us all. Besides, Lesnar is locked up with Vince for 7 years regardless. Unless Vince waives that contract there is no chance in hell that he'll work for TNA or practically anyone else (maybe MMA since that isn't wrestling).
  11. If you do that, you'd also have to have the WWE willing to promote Goldberg as bad ass monster like Lesnar. Please excuse me while I have no faith in that whatsoever, since Lesnar didn't get that when he needed the build into this match against Goldberg.
  12. Then tell him to retire. There's nothing left for him. Then if you do that, you just cut the wheels off of Smackdown. You've got Show, Taker, and Eddie then, if you play with the fact that Angle has retired (and still assuming that Edge is RAW). Instead of trying to at least bring up one, you are now given the frightening possibility of having to push THREE superstars. That's a daunting task to put before the SD crew as well as if RAW won't ship any talent over to SD. Becuase frankly, I don't see anyone on SD that's really able to step up to do that. The WWE might think A-Train can, so that's one, but the other two? Unless they do a split of Greatest World Tag Team (and were willing to let them build), build up the Cruisers, or have the combo of Cena-Rhyno go up (and are willing to make the United States title more than what it is right now, nothing), I'm not sure they could realistically do it. And as I had made mention in the other thread, having Orton take over SD as his own playground only serves to bring the HHH vs. Orton storyline to WMXXI. It'll burn away a lot of the fanbase as most people don't really care for HHH having RAW as his own playground. Although, I wouldn't be surprised in them sending over Orton. That actually makes a hell of a lot of sense.
  13. If SD turns into the all Orton show, then the WWE will lose a HELL of a lot of their fanbase immediately. Although it would get the HHH vs. Randy Orton at WMXXI storyline rolling, that Triple H wanted at WMXX. And frankly if Goldberg gets resigned instead of Brock, does he stay on RAW or go to SD? If he stays on RAW, then we still end up with the same problems of who the hell is taking Brock's place on SD (assuming we still have all the problems, like Edge heading to RAW as well, and the fact nobody is getting traded).
  14. And what makes you think that Austin will come back for one more match against someone like Cena? Last I checked, the only way Austin was going to do a singles match was if it was with someone that could protect him well. No offense, but I'm not sure Cena would be one of those people that Austin would consider could do so.
  15. Um... Anglesault, you do remember the WWE is not that high on Angle right now and worried about having him near the title (as he had recently had his neck scoped). They'd probably do something like this. Yes, it is stupid as it doesn't help Angle look good against other main eventers, but it is something the WWE are thinking of doing. In Response To Papacita: As for the idea of pushing someone up, you want Rhyno to go over Cena? Excuse me, but the WWE is trying to build up Cena even more then before. Hence, I don't think Rhyno will be going over Cena anytime soon. The problem is, it seems the WWE don't feel Cena is ready to step up himself, so I could see Rhyno and Cena duking it out to build themselves up as more than nothing. Same could be said for the Cruisers. Have Tajiri, Mysterio, and Noble build up as well. Problem is, that yes, you'd have to give them extra time and the current WWE mindset sees Crusiers as nothing more than inferior than Heavies. Which makes it doubtful that they'd do so.
  16. *shrugs* I take it differently, and frankly, I could see Brock walking on the match, if it is scripted up like JD98 (like so many of us immediately thought). I kinda think he would leave, hence why I said that. then he's in for breach of contract and loses that lofty purse. Not to mention the subsequent burial he'd get as a result. Um, Choken One, firstly, I know he'd lose the purse. As I said, if it is scripted like JD98, I could see him doing so. It doesn't mean he will, but I could see it happening. And since it has been assured that Austin is going to be the one put over because of the match, doesn't the burial already start with that match? I mean, since neither man will be able to get vengeance on Austin, how does that make them look? Both men are considered big stars will look nothing less than ordinary unless this is seen as a huge and massive screw job (Montreal like) which really would probably turn off a lot of people in the process. And hell, by just leaving, don't you think Triple H will be kind enough NOT to take as many shots as he can at Lesnar? Or anyone else for that matter? You better believe he'll still get the shots. Just not as bad as if he left before his match at Wrestlemania would. He'll still get a partial burial when he leaves.
  17. *shrugs* I take it differently, and frankly, I could see Brock walking on the match, if it is scripted up like JD98 (like so many of us immediately thought). I kinda think he would leave, hence why I said that.
  18. ok that there destroyed any minute credibility that dirtsheet had with me, and this story as well. Sable and Brock? Surely a lie. Uh, everyone else reported the exact same thing about Brock leaving, so I doubt it's a lie. Although, I don't doubt that Lesnar and Sable are a lie. Oh and guess what people: This might mean the Goldberg vs. Lesnar match might not even be ON. Go for broke on the speculation of THAT tidbit. We might not even get the matchup.
  19. And its for that reason that I doubt the WWE would let him completely out of his contract. Personally, I think this NFL idea will go about as well as Hulk Hogan's presidential campaign. That depends... Aren't some of the owners in the NFL looking for ways to bring money to their company any way possible? I could honestly see some of the owners actually making at a run to hire Lesnar just for the possibility of the extra buck off of getting more wrestling fans to watch their product. Hell, by signing Lesnar, you'd probably get some good publicity (all publicity is good remember) as it would probably make headlines across the sports media.
  20. If we're to believe the sheets, he did that because he didn't want Triple H eventually feuding with Cena and once again beating someone that Rock had put over. Like Booker T last year. Yet how different is it for Lesnar? He's been putting up with having to do everything the company says they want from him. He's probably been giving those exact speeches because guess what? That's exactly what they want him to say. He's been playing their tune, yet they haven't exactly been doing anything that would please any star that would be in his position (besides Angle, who's now the company bitch). I doubt for a second that any of the other guys would do the exact same as Brock Lesnar had, except more backstabber like. Oh and onto the Rock thing, you also forgot to say Hurricane as well. Hell, Hurricane was even worse than Booker T if you ask me, since Rock did a hell of a lot more to build him up then he had with Booker T. Shit, at least Booker T got a shot at the title on a PPV.
  21. You see there is a difference between Garvin and Holly. Garvin at least had a background, a story to himself. He's been around for awhile, and Flair didn't have to change anything about his character to job to him. Lesnar not only had to undergo a character change (bad ass monster, to frighten scared bitch) and Holly was just returning from a neck injury and had nothing that built him up to say that he could even wrestler with Lesnar. Sure, the revenge storyline went over great for at least getting Holly to the point where he was getting a reaction, but same could be said for the storyline involving Garvin. But you see the problem revolves around that they didn't keep Holly up as a main eventer player or even have him on the same level as Brock. Holly got an 8 minute match and then it was pretty much to jobber level and Holly couldn't even stand on the same footing as Lesnar. Didn't Holly just job to Lesnar in two minutes just this past Smackdown? Hell, at least Garvin wasn't getting jobbed out immediately right after shot at the title.
  22. Again, I must ask, what has Rhyno done for a push? And frankly, if you push Rhyno, you've got 4 heels and 2 faces. Since the WWE likes to at least have it even steven, exactly whom the hell would you turn? Neither Rhyno or A-Train would get any response for a face turn right now, because they haven't been shown on TV for a good long time (any TV that is watched by the casual WWE fan) and frankly, do we REALLY want Big Show turning face once again since he's getting his heelish self down pat finally and I like it.
  23. But the problem is, does that really matter? Since if Triple H gets his way, he's going to fuck over Edge if he can get him to RAW. Really nothing is different right now, except that Triple H has to get the wrestler off of Smackdown to RAW, and thus by doing so makes Smackdown an inferior show. However, we aren't turning this into a "Triple H Needs Overness" thread. It's about who will fill Brock Lesnar's spot. And frankly, I can't realistically think of anyone who will. The only one that comes close is A-Train, realistically and from the WWE standpoint. Which is a bad thing if you can only name ONE person, that doesn't bode well. Hell, if Edge goes, you need TWO people. I can only think of A-Train, and unless they are taking Mysterio out of Cruiser, I can't think of a second person.
  24. I said "IN THE EYES OF THE WWE". For crying out loud, you and I both know that RVD and Booker T can be a main eventer if the WWE is commited to it. However, in the eyes of the WWE, they'll want to have credible main eventers that they can push right away to the top of the card. If they have to bring in people whom they believe they have to build up as main eventers, they'll just take some of the talent of Smackdown and do the same. Also there is still the possiblity of Edge going to RAW still. And frankly, I still believe that he'll end up on RAW. Besides A-Train, realistically there isn't many whom WWE would consider pushing. I could only see Mysterio and Tajiri being pushed if they got lucky but they are in Crusier right now (been said many times, IE: Hell).
  25. Jericho isn't leaving RAW though Choken One. He's on a mission to help his buddy Christian get elevated up the card over there. And I doubt that the WWE would allow Vitamin C to leave RAW together. RVD won't leaving RAW because who the hell else is going to get pops on RAW? I mean, RVD is the only guy they can consistantly screw over and still get good pops. They wouldn't let him leave RAW, since they can toss him Test or Rico and at least have some heat for a match. They wouldn't let him leave RAW if their lives depended on it (which pretty much they do). Booker T won't leave RAW because frankly, the WWE believe he's not "main event calibre" and I don't think the WWE would be willing to "lower" someone to his status. Smackdown is need of some talent being pushed up and in need of some talent staying. Most likely, I think we'll be seeing Eddie vs. Show, Angle vs. Taker, and hopefully Edge vs. someone (I'm figuring A-Train). Whatever happens, SD is going to be pushing a hell of a lot of people in order to make up for the loss of talent. I'm really worried if Edge doesn't return to SD because that means SD will be outright fodder since there isn't anyone who looks high profile besides four people.
