State Your Unpopular Opinions

While nothing could ever touch Enter Sandman, I kinda dig The Sandman's new theme. -
Results of the second wwECW house show

Yeah, I noticed Styles mention how the Sabu/Roadkill match last week was "Extreme Rules". I mean, I'm not expecting tables and chairs for every match but don't rub it in that a match or two per night is held under "Extreme Rules" and the rest are not. -
So, I just downloaded ONS2 in 4 parts and was wondering if anyone knew a good program to link the videos together to make it 1 file. Thanks in advance.

OAO ECW Week 4 on Sci-Fi, July 4th
MillenniumMan831 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm guessing RVD escapes via Angle interference as Angle puts aside his personal feelings about losing to Van Dam in favor of supporting ECW. This can help build the RVD/Angle feud. The RVD burial will be reserved for NBC. -
Thanks for the tip. I tried playing the file again and the blasted video still won't play. It says "The AVI file is broken. Seeking will not work correctly." Then, it gives me an option to repair, so I do and the video still doesn't play. Another error pops up stating it's an "Unrecognized format". That said, I do appreciate the help.

I was half-expecting for that rant to end with "Don't you know WHO I AM?!? I AM NETWORK BAH GAWD!!!"
-
I just hope it's an Elimination Fatal 4 Way rather than that sudden death crap WWE loves.
-
Maybe RVD will turn the tables and win 1/2 of the Hardcore Title from Edge making the co-Hardcore Champions RVD and Mick Foley.

I agree 100%, Vince thus far doesn't even fucking care that RVD has the belt and is an "ECW" guy. I mean besides the 10 seconds he spent "addressing the state of WWE" He hasn't even acknowledged the title situation. He SHOULD, but he is all wrapped up in the stupid DX bullshit to have time I guess. So why would the WWE Ref even try to screw over RVD......to appease Jerry Lawler!?! I still say that if they want to continue the ECW/WWE cross promotion, then RVD needs to retain the belt. I mean I am sorry but does anyone else think a BIGGER DEAL should be made out of the fact that RVD is holding the WWE Belt AND the ECW Belt? Shouldn't that be a bigger damn storyline then "Look I am mooning guys, ahahahahahahahaha, wow naked male ass hahahahahaha" I can see RVD losing the WWE belt tonight, but it better not be clean. In kayfabe, why would Vince care if RVD is champ or not? He's the one that brought ECW back. Even in kayfabe, McMahon would like to see ECW go toe-to-toe w/ Raw. More conflicts between ECW and Raw guys mean more money for him . . . again, in kayfabe.

There's some good stuff in the 2nd half of that album. "Wherever I May Roam" (I think that's past song #5) and "The God that Failed" are great tunes. I have a Best of The Cult album that I tend to turn off after "Here Comes the Rain" which I think is the 7th of about 14 songs. But I love the 1st half of the album.

Bisping ballin up to Big John was great. As was, "Josh, if you think you're going to win the contract, just forget it."
-
I could see them doing the Montreal scenario but w/o RVD countering the hold.

Doink and Kamala.

IIRC, Steve Austin beat Dustin Rhodes for the US Title in 2 straight at StarrCade 1993. I want to say Angle beat Benoit 2 straight at one of the UK ppvs, but I'm not sure.

So were the ECW guys made to look like a bunch of geeks next to the Heat Squad?
-
Total agreement here. Everyone knew they were watching something very special and also applauded for every big bump, which was rare for a WWF/WCW crowd at the time.

Savage also did the same to Khan in MSG right after Savage turned face.

The Rockers doing their "Be a Survivor, Don't Smoke" WWF PSA.

I don't remember what was on the back of it but the "It's True It's True" Kurt Angle shirt was certainly wearable.

The Can Ams actually put on some very good and entertaining squash matches where they always gave the heels plenty of offense and even a face-in-peril segement. Granted, their opponents always seemed to be some combination of Iron Mike Sharpe, JJ Funk, and Terry Gibbs but the matches were always a breath of fresh air compared to something like Hercules vs. Rick Hunter.

I never hesitated to wear my Cactus Jack shirt.

Volkoff was out of the WWF for much of 1989. Not sure why, perhaps an injury. That particular match was supposed to be Snuka vs. Honky (to which there was a feud) but for whatever reason HTM wasn't there so Zhukov subbed which is why Hart was managing him for one night only. Ironically, on that same tape Snuka vs. Honky did take place from MSG.

What's Chilly Willy up to these days? Seems like he can reform his team w/ Balls Mahoney while Doring/Roadkill and the FBI round out a tag division bigger than Raw's.

Here's a page w/ some good videos including the 1992 A Current Affair piece on steroids and the WWF. http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=wcwfan
