Human Clay is considered a joke and their first cd was somewhat decent...Appetite is widely regarded as one of the 5 or 10 best rock records of all time, and one of the best debuts by any band ever. UYIs were among the most hotly anticipated releases in popular music ( and despite being a bit overdone it lived up to its hype)...Weathered is for people who prefer their 'music' on a spoon and down their throats. Axl Rose has a mystique, not necessarilly always good (riots ensued, domestiv violence, etc) but hes as close to a Jim Morrison as theres been in 30 years. Scott Stapp gets retardly drunk at televised poker games. Axl would jump into a crowd to pound on some idiot with a camera...Stapp got his ass kicked by 311. One band was a shlocky cheesy lame radio invention...the other was a bunch of kids that climbed out of The Jungle and made the entire planet listen.
