Probably not, he was pretty much just a straight up Reaganish conservative. And he was a big supporter of Joe McCarthy. He was against the Civil Rights Act of '64. He seems like a good man and a principled politician, but he's just too far right for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You do know Goldwater was not from a racist right? -

LBJ disgusts me. How anybody could believe in their elected leaders after living through Johnson and Nixon is beyond me. Pathetic men wholly lacking in dignity, integrity, or honor. -
5. Tony Mamaluke and the unbelievable fucking flip onto the guardrail from TNN 4. The crazy brawl from TNN that involved Corino (first time with the red hair bladejob), Sandman, Rhino, Tajiri, Dusty, Dreamer 3. Wrestlepalooza 98 - The first show I watched. I disagree with all the bad critics. 2. RVD doing the Van Terminator for the first time 1. Seeing ECW live in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Sandman bringing his beer schtik to where my friends and I were sitting, Steve Corino and Dreamer brawling near us, Tanaka bouncing a basketball off one of the Baldies heads about 25 rows into the crowd, and a great Awesome-Rhino title match.

His race stance doesn't earn points with me, but considering the times and how long it took just to get rid of segregation, I don't feel like I can fairly take them away either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> To me, TR is a lot like LBJ--I abhor "half" of his presidency and adore the other half. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What was to be adored about LBJ's presidency? -

Smitty - In his day, would you have picked Goldwater? Hes pretty much the LaFollete of the conservatives. -

Dem - Russ Feingold Republican - Barry Goldwater's corpse -
Undertaker's during the Mankind hell in a cell match was pretty blatant.

Funny, that was the exact same thing that people said about Richard Nixon in the mid-60s...not the JFK thing, but no chance.

Hilarity ensued in Boston last night...the brilliant audience at the football game cheered wildly for the Rolling Stones' new anti-Bush song, then booed Kanye who, I believe, only permormed without making any statements. Well informed folks in New England.

If you consider the NWA and WCW as one and the same, then yes. He was in for, at least, the 1986 and 1987 Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup tag team tournaments. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And a couple of week-long NWA title reigns.

Band name <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dave Berry would be proud.

As far as Im aware of they only worked together in late-80s WWF....when both were in the Heenan Family.

Thank You very much. Although I don't know what you look like, I am sure you are beautiful on the inside. :-William C. Wells <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope.

And one day, us frail and dependant ladies can only hope to find a big, strong man to lead us in life and, out of the kindness of his own heart, marry us and have kids with us so us delicate creatures don't have to worry about petty things such as work or a career. Oh sigh. If only a man would claim me now so I wouldn't have to go through a silly thing such as school. Thinking is hard! Glad to see WWE is up to standards on equality amoung the genders. Hey, there's Steph! And um, Linda. Oh and, well, you know....look over there! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whats Scott Steiner upto these days?

Wouldnt allowing old workers to use their WWF/e gimmicks on indies act as something of free advertising for the 24/7, dvd, etc ventures?
-
Ive also seen a few bands live that I would otherwise be unable to listen to (Fuel, Five For Fighting, 12 Stones, etc) and thanks to alcohol it was a pretty fun time. If cost is real low, or its part of a festival lineup, I can usually have a fun time watching awful bands.

Problems inside WWE usually result in WWE looking for enemies outside the company. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you think its finacial problems HTQ? Or a realization in dwindling interest in their product, not necessarily monetary losses?

It's just good and smart business not to allow them(TNA specifically) to make money off their property. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That doesn't make Vince any less of a rotten cocksucker. People damn near kill themselves for his company and then he shits on them like they're garbage. He didn't create the gimmick, he shouldn't own the gimmick, and he's a peice of shit for stealing what doesn't belong from him. I agree that it's a better for his wallet, but fucking ETHICS should fit into the picture somewhere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He should own the gimmick because he is the one who owns the property that the Dudley Boys were founded upon. The wrestlers know what they are giving up when they sign the contract. They hand over any rights to that name and know that they can't use the name unless it's their legal name in other promotions unless they have been granted permission. I don't think it's fair that Vince resorts to doing this but it's a perfectly acceptable business move to perserve their copyrights. Why should TNA be allowed to promote off Vince McMahon's empire? Maybe TNA and Dudleyz should look at this as a blessing. A chance for TAFKADB to reinvent themselfs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nevermind.

Admittedly, I have no knowledge of the wwe's financial status...but could all this activity be a sign of some possible problems or losses in that area for Vince? This never seemed to be an issue before (Lord knows how many wwf/e characters worked indies in the past using the old characters and names) but now its lawsuits for all.

Nah, better credit that to Naked Gun 33 1/3. That way you'll be quoting a comedy that doesn't suck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Right.
