There's no fuckin' way I'm reading all these threads, so someone tell me what's been going on in here the last week.

I dunno, we've had some weird fixation with writing about everything for some reason. I still don't get it. If we were to concentrate on wrestling only I think we'd become one of the best sites out there with some time, but that'd require effort also. Basic site requirements like a Smackdown review aren't even there. It's obvious that we have enough people here with very, very deep wrestling knowledge to make up a staff that could cover the basics (TNA PPV/iMPACT, WWE PPV/Smackdown/Raw) as well as other odds-and-ends tape reviews or opinion pieces. The people who'd be qualified for this kind of stuff generally know how to write without looking like embarassments too.

Hmm, seems my idea never took off to make this place an acutal sanctuary. Ah well, the long-time folks here have ridden out worse.

Maybe it was just how I was raised. That and I've never seen it used in text by something that was meant to be "official" or "important," as news services usually use proper titles.

Edwin done went and motivated me to write more, actually. Each week, in addition to the Raw review, I'm going to write a Gravel Pit piece.

My problem isn't with their effectiveness in reporting, but even there some slant manages to creep in. It might not be overt, but their choice of words and whatever their headline at the bottom of the screen is may show signs of either bad journalism or their attitude toward it. For example, the other day there was some car chase out in California that both CNN and Fox happened to be monitoring. CNN had "Woman steals police vehicle in California." Okay, that's cool. Fox said "Woman steals cop's SUV." Now what national (and global soon) news agency uses "cop," especially in a headline?

I thought I read in one of those "folks you don't like" threads that I was Lushus's list. Well then. You're probably like Zack, the guy that's cool to talk to normally but just can't get that to show over the internet (although you're more adept than Malibu is). Anyways, it's not like a "precious folder" to me or anything. I regret that I'm missing a reported buttload of traffic, but that's about it. This is honestly not a big deal, and most of what I'm typing here is left over from Tuesday since I just left without taking shots at anyone. 'Night, folks.

The afterschool gang in HD doesn't seem aware at all about why what they do is so bad. So they just say that no one knows how to have fun and say things like the quoted passage above. And then the subjuect tries to convince others (but themselves also) that they have the upper hand by declaring that their opponent is "losing." When I say this kind of stuff is meant for lesser boards, I mean the places that give the internet a bad name, like SomethingAwful or LivingWithStyle. Those places are intolerable. Do not bring your evil here.

By myself I'm not that bad, but when this dude and I get together I'm an instant prototypical college partier, and we're merciless when we give people a hard time.

Can this folder become the new sanctuary for HD people? You know, the real ones, not the ones that have driven us all out.
