It's fine, not many people do.

It's also not obvious what was going to happen once they got there, although 99% of the time, given the area and events there, it will end up being something violent. They could have at least said something to the Coalition folks in the area before heading out.

Which one? The recent one with George Clooney. I've had it sitting in the pile of DVDs I still have from working at a video store last summer (I got tipped off that I was getting canned, so I grabbed some of our better films or stuff I thought would be good that no one would miss). Same with Magnolia. I've had both for almost a year and still haven't watched either.

A well written column: "Cold Turkey"
Art Sandusky replied to CheesalaIsGood's topic in Current Events
You try to go into a Vonnegut writing without any sense of what writing would traditionally look like. If you expect some kind of structure or text that you can map out somehow, keep on moving, as you won't find it with him. -
It's very wrong, yes. Evil, no. You act as if I'm defending this. The only thing worse would have been if the reporters themselves had killed the soldiers, then there'd be cause for "evil" to be used.

We don't have any evidence the other way around either. I just find it hard to believe that the 2nd highest ranking person in the nation wouldn't know about it at ALL, despite even being part of the company himself. You think someone he used to work with would have at least given him a call with the news. Knowing about it wouldn't be a bad thing as long as he wasn't the one who made or influenced the decision to give them the contract. It's too strange of a coincedence for there to be absolutely no knowledge on Cheney's part.

Orton was God during the RNN era, but was just kinda blah to me for a while. I never particularly liked him or disliked him, but I'd defend the guy if someone started hating. I've actively liked him since late January-time.

you know that music means that Bradshaw might be square-dancing, or dancing in general, down to the ring? Balderdash. Just get a few of the women who didn't win the Raw Diva Search to be his Red, White, and Blue Dance Brigade and line the entranceway as he comes out.

No, not evil, just way too competitive and motivated by their own interests. Stop tossing around such words.

So because they simply say that they had nothing to do with it, it means they had nothing to do with it? Ooooooookay... let's just take them at their word and not be skeptical. How can the friggin' Vice President of the United States not know who was being awarded $7 billion by his own government to help rebuild and rehabilitate Iraq? I expect nothing but a load of BS during the testimonies.

Depressing as hell, but pretty spot-on with the whole overall attitude. He'd better get the Nobel before he croaks. -
Hell in Cell is done...What is the next "big" one?
Art Sandusky replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I'd like to dispute the fact that the Austin-Triple H ''Three stages of Hell'' match was good. It was in my opinion, and I'm sure I'm not alone, the most overrated match of 2001 WWF. It wasn't the 2001 WWF MOTY (I give that to either Benoit/Jericho at the Rumble or Rock/Austin at Wrestlemania for sheer hype and intensity), but it was certainly good. It was the last time I've seen a feud between two wrestlers end in a truly definitive manner, as HHH and Austin both put over how much they hated each other extremely well in the match. Hot crowd (even buying near-falls from Austin despite it being obvious HHH had to win the second fall to send it to a third), malice shown at least by Austin (the pulverization of HHH with the chair during the second fall), and an ending that showed that both men were, to use an Orwellian term, equal, but HHH was more equal than Austin. I give it ****1/4 on the WWE scale, probably gets about *** tops if I looked at it in a totally scientific manner. -
Bradshaw should come out to "Bombs Over Baghdad." I really have nothing else to add to this other than that entrance for Bradshaw alone would make the entire Smackdown show watchable.

I loves me a good cigar, but as I said I don't smoke them all that often. Lasts a while if you got a good one, and it makes you feel like a big shot.
-
Even I'll have a cigar every now and then. Haven't smoked one since late April though. Cigarettes I'll smoke only when I have my cigarette holder on me, and I'll smoke marijuana when I can, but it's been several weeks.

2:57 to 4:34 of "Exhale" by System F rules that whole list and the songs mentioned here. 0:53 to 2:28 of "We Will Survive" by the Warp Brothers is some phat-up shit, and easily rocks anything in this thread too. 1:09 to 2:18 of "The Devil is a DJ" by D-Devils is also a great segment. "Nothing But You" by Paul Van Dyk's wordless female vocal is a song-long cool part. I'd say from the beginning to 1:03 is the best though. 3:07 of "Climbing Up the Walls" by Radiohead is also amazing. The opening guitar of "Airbag" is great. 1:51 of "How to Roll a Blunt" by Redman is beautiful. "BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH!" As Edwin noted when the album came out, Kylie's two rap-ish parts in "Secret" butter my muffin every time. Any time Kylie sings the chorus for "Confide in Me." When Kylie starts singing "How does it feel" on the "Can't Get Blue Monday Out of My Head" remix. The bridge into and the chorus of "Bye Bye Baby (Baby Goodbye)" by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. You can't help but get into it. 3:54 of "Lonely Road of Faith" by Kid Rock, where the song unwinds after the harder part, gave me chills when I first heard it. The final chorus of "Hey Ya." It's where you're finally drawn in completely and have to play it again immediately when the song ends. If I keep going I'll never stop, so yeah.

Bush joke may not be hilarious but...
Art Sandusky replied to Betty Houle's topic in No Holds Barred
You were beaten on for 20 minutes, or so you said. You had a phone cracked over your head. You bled. I think just about any woman on the planet would support you at least shoving her off. -
Kylie is such an efficient being that she only has 0.000001% of her energy intake turn to waste, and that is simply synthesized by her highly evolved digestive system into simple sweat, which she does a lot of by dancing. Still, I don't get the picture. Who is that guy?

I think I know what Inc had something to do with.

The match fucking blew, moreso since they pretty much promised a catalcysmic end to the feud and I hate it the more they try to make it sound classic. The crowd gets zero blame, and I would have viciously booed the final sequence, then screamed "END THIS" just to let them know it wasn't heat for HHH.
-
Well, you get a special feeling when you think of certain matches. The Triple Threat at XX gave me that, as I thought it was the best three-way I'd ever seen (although granted, all I've seen are North American ones and was very underwhelmed by the supposed 2002 MOTY three-way), and the idea of Benoit finally trapping HHH and making him (FINALLY) give up his prized title by submitting after realizing there was no way out of losing makes me flutter a little, just by how well I thought it was all executed. After seeing someone go over it with a fine-toothed comb, it's lost some of its shine. It's kinda like when you really like a movie and think it's genius, but someone tells you all the crap that's wrong with it that you didn't see before through pure personal fandom. You don't look at it the same way, and sort of wish you'd never been educated. Still, thanks to Coey, I can more accurately rate match quality, but I don't think I'll ever be able to expand on why I rated it what I did as much as he can/does.

I just call his sister "Cork."
-
And it's quite good. Kinda sucks that the memorable aspects of matches are totally invalidated in one's mind after the in-depth reasoning that shows why you shouldn't remember them, but still a great review.

It's probably better that they get him, the're allowed to be more harsh in Arab countries and get away with it.

I want to know what JBL American Hero (or whatever the new guy's name is) thinks about this.
