12/3 Ratings and a surprise at TP

There's ANOTHER TNA this sunday? Man, they need to slow it down a little.

    Being white isn't cool anymore...

Throughout the history of the world white, classy/upper class people were viewed as cool, but nowadays it's all about being "from the streets" and embracing your hardships and the like. And for the "white was cool?" crowd...you can pretty much look at the early 90s and almost any time before and 90% of "cool" media figures were white. Whites are wicked lame nowadays though because most suburban white kids go the "fuck I've had a hard life but I've toughed it out because I'm a tough S.O.B." route that is ridiculously retarded for obvious reasons.

The OAO Raw Thread - Dec/5th/05

That triple chokeslam was horrible; it looked soooo fake and you could tell they were all trying to time their jumps, which made them look like morons.

    New Jake...

..is the fucking worst poster I've seen on TheSmartMarks since Zcalex. It's a struggle to actually read through some of his posts and realize that there are people out there that actually lack in intelligence this badly.

    Vince saying "Nigga"

I can't understand how people give a shit about WWE enough to offended by anything they do. Seriously; they're assholes. We know they're assholes. They did a bitch thing? Who gives a fuck? I thought we knew that they were fucked long ago.

South Park Season 9 / Drawn Together

Not a great episode tonight by any means but the ending was hilarious.
  11. Angle's wife is who came to mind first (she was pissed when he kept getting busted open by RVD in 2002). He and Benoit would be most logical.

    Shelton Benjamin v. Trevor Murdoch

Concidering your comments regarding Benjamin. I must ask, what the fuck do you know? How can you judge someones career and ability on one match? Making severly crappy match assesments does not justify why Benjamin isn't a bright star. He's had more top matches then most of the main events of this year. Hell he even performed better at WM 21 then either main event matches. Concluding statement, Benjamin=future. Get used to it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You keep attacking my argument while not backing up your own. Shelton has NEVER used his mind in any of his matches, only his "cool" spots like the "hold my foot and then spin it around and back into your face" nonsense. He's had ONE good match (vs Michaels). WM21 wasn't a good performance at all - it was a spotfest. How could that even be considered good? Austin at WM X7 is the definition of a good performance because he uses facial expressions and plays to the crowd more perfect than I've ever seen. Has Shelton ever once done anything remotely like that so that we could become emotionally involved with him during a match? Maybe a little in the match vs Michaels, but that debatable, and calling him a future main eventer because of one match is awful.

    Stupidest/Worst/Most Offensive Smackdown (Special)

It certainly wasn't classy (or surprising), but I really don't give a shit enough to start crying and bitching about it.

    Shelton Benjamin v. Trevor Murdoch

His match with Carlito for a spot on Team RAW not too long ago. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> THAT performance in that awful match is your basis that this guy has what it takes to be a future star of the company? Standards for a main eventer have decreased over the years, but have they sunk THAT low? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd challenge anyone to show me one good Shelton performance (individual performance, not match. You asked for a good performance from Shelton. You didn't say put together a list of his best performances so I can justify why I think he can be a bright spot in the company. Since all you asked for is one good performance... I thought I'd pick his last one. It also happens to be better than the match Carlito had with Michaels last night. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can't compare someone's match vs someone else's match with one worker because there are so many different factors surrounding it. Anyways, I didn't see this match. What was so good about Shelton's performance?

    Shelton Benjamin v. Trevor Murdoch

Flair/Shelton at Backlach 04 was fucking awful, thanks to Shelton not using his brain and screwing up the story of the match (Flair working on Shelton's leg to keep him from doing his high risk moves) by not-selling Flair's earlier leg work (making it pointless) and doing his ridiculously over-the-top moves anyways. In fact, I'd challenge anyone to show me one good Shelton performance (individual performance, not match - and the HBK match was almost only Michael's performance). Maybe if he used his brain instead of just doing athletic moves I could buy him being the future of the company.

    Vince saying "Nigga"

Even if it was offensive, do people actually give a shit? If you've been watching WWE for even three years, you'd have suffered through a man pulling things out of a mans ass, old man Vince being a perv, implied incestious relations, corpse fucking - a racial slur should hardly come as a surprise. It doesn't make it acceptable by any means, but it's much easier to say "fuck it" than becoming so traumitized by the event that it's "hard for you to watch future WWE programming".
  20. Angle-plex

    Vince saying "Nigga"

Fuck this. I didn't see this and I don't even believe this happened. WWE is the definition of class. If this did happen it is a huge issue and I would actually walk around during the day being angry about it.
  21. Angle-plex

    Shelton Benjamin v. Trevor Murdoch

Shelton hasn't been given much promo time because he stumbles over his words every time he gets a chance. It's a shame because he has a real deep voice too. What about his awful matches with Carlito, Flair, Conway, and pretty much everyone else on the RAW roster? And his matches with Jericho, Hunter and Xtian were completely average, and if someone wants to argue that I'd like to see their reasoning as to they were good matches. The guy is much better suited in a tag division so his flawed spot matches wouldn't be exposed so easily.

  23. Only 150 more posts until this thread is considered a "classic" and is put in the classic folder! Keep up the good work!
  24. In the 80s Orton would have been a career-midcarder, probably an IC champ guy, but in shit WWE 2005 with two shit brands with no big draws, I think Orton is a fine choice as champion. It's not like the champion of WWE's Smackdown brand is going to matter anyways, since the champion isn't even always in the "big" angle. If a match was very very good, shouldn't I remember it since it would stand out above all the rest of the move, spot, pin, 2 count, move, repeat matches that WWE does every week?
  25. I honestly don't remember any of these matches, so I can't say they weren't good, but the fact that I can't remember them kind of speaks for itself. Orton definetly isn't a Flair or an Austin or anything, but I think he's a good uppercarder. A heel shouldn't get the big win at a Wrestlemania regardless though.
