Must be a PAL issue then. It happens extremely often, at least every second or third time someone is running or is irish whipped. They will legitimately freeze in a running pose and just glide across the screen. Looks funny the first time, makes you pray for better PAL conversions every other time.

Rented the game last night. The 'ice skating' affect that frequently occurs when you irish whip individuals is completely unforgiveable. How on earth they could not have either detected or fixed this prior to release is beyond me. It looks absolutely ridiculous. The controls are still really stiff and mechanical, it seems. I think the control system has come a long way since the previous incarnation, however the general flow of the game still is a bit wooden. Season mode is brilliantly done, albeit linear. The graphics are *astoundingly* beautiful and the entrances are spot on. I definitely share some of the sentiments on the A.I. All it involves is an sometimes never-ending exhange of reversals, which is frustratingly distracting and absolutely destroys the fun in the game. You need to play it on normal just to have a decent match with anyone. I'm fresh out of suggestions, but something has to change about this and fast. Bret still does the spin-kick! Ha! In closing - great rental, bad choice for purchase.

Anyone actually bought this game yet? I'm contemplating going and grabbing it this afternoon.

In saying that, I can't *wait* until the PS3 launches and sets living rooms on fire all around the globe. Microsoft won't be the sole offender here.

As trivial an accomplishment as it is from SpikeTV, RE4 deserves that.

The N64 expansion pack actually came packaged with Donkey Kong 64 at no extra charge. You couldn't play DK64 without it, as far as I know.

Wireless, remember? None. It doesn't support wired ones like XB, thus no use of the PS2/PS1 controllers. However, supposedly up to 7 wireless controllers can be supported by one system. Yeah, odd number, but that's supposedly the correct info for now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *slaps forehead* Oh, of course. Thanks man.

Yeah, I always used Yoshi on SNES because he could get away the fastest. If the other player got a red shell, it was easy to make a U turn and dart around the corner. But for Mario Kart 64, I liked to use Bowser because you could just run into people and make them lose balloons and that annoyed everyone. Sometimes if a player was stuck in a corner, you could hit him 3 times hard annd he would lose all 3 balloons. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Same applies to Mario Kart DS. Bowser is an absolute NIGHTMARE when you are any of the lighter weight racers and you either meet him in the battle arena or in Grand Prix mode. I think every second or third time I play as Dry Bones on Choco Mountain, Bowser blows me to shit near the falling boulders and completely destroys my momentum. If you can handle his weaknesses, Bowser can be just about unstoppable.

What is the word on how many controller ports the PS3 will have?

I have no wireless router, so I'm screwed for wireless play. My favourite stage is Waluigi's Pinball at the moment, just crazy amounts of fun. It's like Las Vegas on speed. Blue shells are an absolute killer. The once rare leader bumper has become a frequently occurring nightmare. In one race, I was hit *three* times by nasty blue shells. It is a tad ridiculous. Daisy is awesome, as is Peach. I'm tending to stick with my fave, DK, for the most part though.
