Just because others find enjoyment in something you have no interest in doesn't give you the right to be pretentious about it. Metal Gear Solid 2 is, hands down, the finest video game I have ever played, and more than a worthy successor to the epic Metal Gear Solid. Personally, I do not understand all the Raiden hate. I think he was a fine character and, by taking the role of Raiden, players recieved an opportunity to view Snake in another light, thus adding yet another dimension to his character. Agreed, the story's twists and turns at its conclusion are, at first, impossible to keep up with, but that, for me, does not take anything away from the intoxicatiing gameplay and depth of the game as a whole. If anything, the ending of MGS2 has made me crave a sequel more than ever. However, by the looks of Metal Gear Solid 3, we'll be getting a prequel featuring Big Boss (the individual by which Snake is an exact replica of). Well, time shall tell. UYI

Fuck Metal Gear Solid 2, and whatever substance Hideo Kojima is on these days. You're missing out. UYI

And if you've listened to the entire album, which I'm almost certain you would have, you'd know perfectly well that a line such as that works brilliantly with the demeanor Manson has created for 'Golden Age of the Grotesque'. Taking it out of context doesn't do Manson's brilliance any favours. UYI Pick any line from 'Me Against The Music' by Britters and Madonna and you're on a one way road to ear-bleed-ville. UYI

The original Sub-Zero was thought to be dead, however returned in MKT, UMK3 etc., but for what reason exactly? Sometimes, when guys get killed, they should, you know, STAY DEAD. i.e. Johnny Cage. Also, after recieving chills down my spine watching Liu Kang having his neck snapped, I'd be quite happy for that to be his final moment in Earth realm. The Sub-Zero of today is not the Sub-Zero that was in MK1, correct? He certainly could pass himself off as the same guy, considering he looks to have aged a fair bit in Mortal Kombat:Deadly Alliance. Not that I'm complaining, Subbers looks more amazing in MKDA than in any other MK game. UYI

I couldn't bare to see Taker give up his Wrestlemania-win-streak. The Taker fan in me just won't have it. UYI

The only gripe I had with the series was the fucking block button. Arguably the dumbest addition to any fighting game, it used to infuriate me that I'd hit back (out of instinct from playing so much Street Fighter) only to be slaughtered. However, now that Mortal Kombat has ventured into 3D, the button works perfectly in that environment. Trilogy and DA are the SHIT in terms of content, Dama, and are worth every cent (espicially now that both would be unbelievably cheap these days). UYI

Well that makes sense. What about Johnny Cage though? He was murdered in MKII, no? I realise that Raiden brought him back into the Earth Realm to aid in the fight against Outworld, but wouldn't he then be like a Scorpion-ish character (a spectre)? Just seems a tad weird that he would be killed and then he'd return and start making movies again (unless of course his death was not reported to the people of Earth). I've espicially liked the MKGold endings video as well as 'The Demise of Baraka'. I was also astounded to learn that Quan Chi was the one who framed Sub-Zero in killing Scorpion and his family (thus kick-starting a feud that would run for years). That evil bastard. So far, I'm loving Scorp and Cyrax in this game, Cyrax's fatality is espicially awesome. UYI

Happens to all us former-MK lifers. I was exactly the same as you, however I did not play any Kombat games from the point in time when Trilogy was released for the 64 up until Deadly Alliance. Now I've recently purchased DA, and have gone back to playing MKI, II & III, I've found I'm no-where near as good as I used to be. I used to be UNBEATABLE as Sub-Zero, now I'm finding Shang Tsung to be my best character. I've still got the entire Krypt to unlock (only got the game today), so that should keep me occupied until Deception hits stores. UYI

Liu Kang's Dragon Morph is extra cool in MK4, as it is in 3D. I love that fatality. UYI

WWE would be insane not to resign Van Dam, given how over he is with a live crowd. He's really done everything he can do on RAW though, so moving him to Smackdown! will not only freshen his character, but will also give him an opportunity to personally improve his own skills. Worked for guys like Edge and The Big Show, and Van Dam is better than both of those two. UYI
