  1. 1991 - Taker beat Hogan 1994 - Backlund beat Hart Both matches were 3rd on the card (out of five). Although, this was back in the day when the WWE just HAD to end PPV's with a face on top to "send the fans home happy" so, at least for me, it was easy to predict that the face champs were losing on those Survivor Series cards.

  3. Here's the story: Eddy was the leader of the LWO when he got in his car crash on New Year's Eve 98. In the 6 months that Eddy was out of action, the LWO disbanded due to "pressure" from the reformed NWO (Rey Jr. was the only one who refused to take off the LWO shirt thus leading to the feud where he lost his mask). Eddy came back in July 99 and his first match back was with Juvi. Juvi hugged him but Eddy didn't forget that Juvi easily gave up the LWO while he was gone. BTW, Juvi was the heel here. Eddy would start the Filthy Animals soon enough with Rey, Kidman, and Konnan.

  5. From tnawrestling.com: TOTAL ANNIHILATION: FIRST-EVER TNA BARBED WIRE MATCH TO TAKE PLACE AT TURNING POINT "The Homicidal, Genocidal, Suicidal" Sabu vs. "The Monster" Abyss TNAwrestling.com has learned that this Saturday night on "iMPACT!" on SpikeTV, management will officially announce that the first-ever TNA barbed wire match will take place on Sunday, December 11 at the "Turning Point" Pay-Per-View pitting Sabu against Abyss. In recent months, the two stars have attempted to decimate each other - first at September's "Unbreakable", then "Bound For Glory" during the Monster's Ball 2, and then at last Sunday's "Genesis". With each melee, the brutality has increased to the point where the dangerous barbed wire was brought into play in their "No Disqualification" match. However, the arena of warfare will become even more barbaric on Sunday, December 11 at "Turning Point" when Abyss and Sabu face off. Barbed wire matches are extremely bloody, and no doubt this is Sabu's favorite pain game. The "Homicidal, Genocidal, Suicidal" star may have been slammed into the barbed wire at "Genesis" , but he's looking forward to this violent playground against Abyss at "Turning Point". After all, no other TNA star has more experience with the barbed wire than Sabu! If there's a kryptonite to Abyss' superhuman aggression, it comes in the form of the barbed wire. Simply put, Abyss may be a master of every weapon known to professional wrestling, but he's shown fear for this new weapon. Jim Mitchell claims Abyss isn't fazed by Sabu's hardcore razor wire, but fans have seen otherwise in recent weeks. Now, if Abyss wants to finally end his ongoing war with Sabu, he's got to do it on Sabu's bloody terms. Check back to TNAwrestling.com in the upcoming weeks for more information on TNA's first-ever barbed wire match on December 11 at "Turning Point" as Sabu faces Abyss! More matches will be announced for the Pay-Per-View starting this Saturday on "iMPACT!" on SpikeTV

Agreed...Here's what I wrote on another board: It was all exactly like Sid turning on HBK on Raw the night after Wrestlemania 11 with AJ playing Diesel. The crowd cheered for Sid that night (until Nash appeared) and they cheered Joe tonight too. However, TNA will play it like the WWF did, the monster took it too far and it becomes a dispicable act. AJ (Diesel) will take on Joe (Sid) while Daniels (HBK) recovers. Whether this effectively turns Daniels face a la Michaels remains to be seen. Although, the Impact zone only really boos Jarrett and AMW so... ---- I am glad they cemented Joe's heeldom as they really need another top heel besides Jarrett and Christian Cage debuted face. If the plans are for Monty Brown to be the next champ, he can't just face Jarrett in numerous rematches (a la Batista / HHH). Guys like Joe and Abyss would make fine heel challengers as well.

  16. Courtesy of Chris Jericho's website: I am devastated by the news of Eddy's passing and I am so sad... I've lost alot of friends over the years but this one hurts the most by far. I had the pleasure of meeting Eddy in Mexico City almost 14 years ago and we've been close ever since (although it didn't start that way!) He is one of my favorite people that I've ever met in the wrestling business, as well one of the greatest performers I've ever seen and had the pleasure to work with. One of my favorite times in my career was when Eddy and I were an underutilized, underpushed, hell, almost non-exisitant tagteam, that were thrown together randomly in WCW. But there was a chemistry there that existed becuase we had mutual respect for each other and we both loved what we were doing. One of my most cherished matches was myself and Eddy vs Chris and Dean in Knoxville, on a benefit show for our dear friend Brian Hildebrand. All four of us started the same way and had the same love and respect for the business, for Brian and for each other...it was a magical night. My best match of 1997 was against Ed at Fall Brawl that year. He was as talented as they come and a true class act. He was also so humble and a true family man and most importantly a warrior for God. He taught me so much about wrestling and about being a man and it is an honor to call him a true brother and friend. I have so many classic Eddy stories that I would love to share, but instead I'm just going to go and cry myself to sleep remembering what an awesome human being Eddy was and will always be... May God bless your family and your soul and may he keep you safe forever putillo falso....I love you my brother... Love your chapete

  21. ESPN has Monday Night Football next year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Right after I wrote my stuff above...I somehow had a feeling that "maybe ABC is losing MNF". Thanks for confirming, CC. I'm okay with it now since ESPN is not on basic cable here due to TSN pretty much being ESPN Canada...now it all makes sense. I'll just tape RAW, which is good so I can fast forward through the crap and be done with it in about 12 minutes.

  23. If I wanted to watch MNF, there's always that channel...y'know...ABC! This only benefits those who don't have ABC at all, which is no one. Who has TSN and not ABC?!?! Maybe some overly patriotic Canuck who boycotts American stations.
  24. Conway...new IC Champ? I see that happening. Hey Bischoff, just change Kurt's music...the sheep will get confused.
  25. I was thinking the same thing...now I really feel for the guy.
