WEEK 4 HeAT (RAW and SmackDown! Brands) Opening Credits A limo pulls up outside, and out steps Vince McMahon. He looks around, then heads for the locker rooms. Evan Karagias and The Hurricane vs Ultimo Dragon and Tajiri (Number One Contenders match): The Hurricane hits a rolling kick on Tajiri. Super frankensteiner on Tajiri, who hit hard. Cover for a two count. Tag to Evan Karagias. Karagias \ Hurricane whip Tajiri into the corner. Evan Karagias whips The Hurricane in for a hard clothesline to follow-up. Second rope flying axe handle, Tajiri goes down. There's a two count on the pin. Stiff high kick on Tajiri by Evan Karagias who has evidently been watching some old AJPW tapes recently. Tajiri comes up with a right hand out of nowhere. Springboard dropkick from Tajiri. Nicely done. Tajiri tags out to Ultimo Dragon. Legsweep out of Nowhere. Glad to see they're putting effort into getting the fans interested in a fight between the two. Vince McMahon comes to the ring. He announces that for the World Title match at Wrestlemania XX, the special guest referee will be none other than Shawn Michaels! Out from the back comes HBK, wearing a referee shirt, who plays to the crowd from the entrance way. Canadian Chrises vs Eddy Guerrero and John Cena : Eddy gets caught with a belly to belly suplex from Benoit. Benoit drives a thrust kick into the chest of Eddy. Cover for a two count. Benoit tags out to Chris Jericho. Canadian Chrises hook up Eddy, then hit a double suplex. Cover for a two count. Spin kick by Chris Jericho to the face. Jericho walks into a trip. Springboard reverse elbow by Eddy Guerrero. Excellent move. There's a two count on the pin. Tag to John Cena. Spear by John Cena. Pin : 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Fallaway slam by John Cena. Looking at the replay, it appears that Benoit had taken a chain out of his tights and wrapped it around his fist! Eddy Guerrero must have been punched with that chain while in mid-powerbomb! What a cheap shot! I don't think the fight has finished. Canadian Chrises and Eddy \ Cena have begun brawling again! They wind up brawling all the way down the aisle and out of view. Massive backbreaker, RVD got planted. Early reports indicate that the back was *not* actually broken, so the move's name should actually be backhurter. Hooks the leg for a two count. Rob Van Dam pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Rob Van Dam hits a bulldog off the ropes. Hooks the leg for a two count. Spear! Edge is down and hurt. Pin, but Edge is out just before the three count. Rob Van Dam misses a big legdrop after stalling too long. Edge strikes RVD. RVD kicks Edge in the gut to reverse the momentum. Flying shoulder tackle by RVD sends Edge to the mat. They try to do a straight interview, but the constant taunts from Jericho soon annoy Cena, and he turns to leave...only to get attacked from behind with a metal bar that was part of the set! Out from the back come all the members of Canadian Mafia, who invade the ring. They attack both wrestlers, leaving them both down and out in the ring. Canadian Mafia leave via the crowd, having ended the match before it even began. Brock Lesnar vs Eddy Guerrero : Kick from Eddy Guerrero to the leg. Eddy Guerrero strikes Lesnar. Dudley Boyz whip Rikishi into the ropes and hit a double back elbow. Bubba Ray Dudley pulls Scotty onto the table for a piledriver, but he uses a backdrop to survive. Rikishi Fatu powers out of a D-Von Dudley headlock. Scotty uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Scotty 2 Hotty goes to slam Bubba through a table, but he manages to escape. Death valley driver by Rikishi Fatu, D-Von Dudley got planted. New Age Outlaws come running down the aisle with chairs! Scotty whips Bubba Ray Dudley into the ropes. Dogg jumps onto the apron with the chair! Collision between Dogg, Bubba, and the chair! Bubba Ray Dudley falls to the canvas. Scotty knocks Bubba Ray Dudley to the ground. Worm! Boom! Scotty throws Bubba Ray Dudley onto the table, climbs to the top - and then uses a moonsault to smash the table and win the bout. New Age Outlaws aren't satisfied! They decide to continue the assault on Dudley Boyz, stomping them into the mat until referees pull them away! *** rating for a good bout. He asks her out on a date, but she just laughs and walks off. Al Snow vs Dean Malenko: Badly executed second rope splash by Malenko. Flying knee to the face from Dean Malenko. Is it Mutoh Appreciation Night? Dean Malenko with an enziguri. Pinfall attempt gets a 2.9999. Flying elbow from Dean Malenko, barely hitting the target. Hooks the leg for a two count. Al Snow avoids a Dean Malenko avalanche. Flying shoulder tackle by Snow sends Malenko to the mat. Al Snow hits a bulldog off the ropes. Malenko ducks a wild right hand. Back heel kick from Malenko on Snow. Trish Stratus is at ringside! Snow wastes valuable time by yelling at Trish! Dean Malenko takes advantage of the distraction and nails Snow from behind! Dean Malenko, having taken the victory thanks to the outside interference of Trish Stratus, goes over and shakes hands with her, showing that their plan was a success. I'm knocking off half a star for some blown spots, so that's a ***1\2 rating. We see The Undertaker arriving backstage. Spike Dudley vs Tommy Dreamer: Dreamer hits a right hand. Framed signed photo of Charisma Carpenter to the head floors Spike. Running knee lift from Tommy Dreamer. Tommy Dreamer with a spinning neckbreaker on Spike. Spike backdrops Tommy Dreamer out of a piledriver attempt. Spike Dudley smashes a Playstation console over the head of Dreamer. Full nelson slam on Dreamer. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tommy Dreamer reverses a hip toss. Powerful Spear by Tommy Dreamer. Cover for a two count. Flying spear out of the corner! Spike nearly got snapped in two. Pin, but Spike is out just before the three count. Spike Dudley fights out of a grapple. Dreamer gets slammed. Spike only gets knees on a splash. Dreamer slams Spike Dudley down. Tommy Dreamer moves in for the kill. Powerbomb! 1....2....3. Spike Dudley extends his hand to Dreamer...and it is accepted! They shake! This one gets a ***1\4 rating, it was a good bout. Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin are in the ring on opposite sides of a table, about to sign a contract to face each other in an upcoming match. Hulk Hogan signs it. Stone Cold also signs it, but is immediately attacked by Hogan, who drives the table into his ribs. Steve Austin gets knocked to the ground by Hogan. Big Legdrop!!! Hulk Hogan walks off, having won this battle. The Undertaker vs The Rock: Undertaker gets slammed onto a trash can, squashing it. Undertaker walks into a spike slam. Cover for a two count. Undertaker ducks a wild right hand. Undertaker slams The Rock. Fallaway slam by The Undertaker. Hooks the leg for a two count. The Undertaker throws Rock into a shopping trolley. HHH climbs out of the ring, the damage done! The Rock can barely stand. Last Ride! 1....2....3. Undertaker and HHH are putting the boots to The Rock! Kane comes running down the aisle with a chair! He slides in, sending Undertaker \ HHH running for cover. Kane saved Rock from a major beating. I'm slapping a ****1\4 rating on this. Dudley Boyz vs New Age Outlaws: Dogg takes a headbutt from Bubba Ray Dudley. Big clothesline on Billy. Bubba Ray Dudley pulls Dogg onto the table for a piledriver, but he uses a backdrop to survive. New Age Outlaws don't look like any means...and they finish them rush forward to attack Dudley Boyz, and send them to the outside. Threats are exchanged as the chaos ends. Almost wandered into *** match territory, but there was too much that dragged it down so it only gets a **3\4 rating. The Rock is in the ring. The Undertaker comes out, and challenges him to a match at the next show. The challenge is accepted. Steve Austin is backstage. I'm actually looking forward to this. He was on hype duty tonight, this time for a match with Hulk Hogan. Canadian Mafia vs John Cena, Kurt Angle, and The Big Show: Chris Jericho strikes Cena. Jericho hits a dropkick on John Cena. Rude Awakening on Rob Van Dam by Lesnar. Hooks the leg for a two count. Brock Lesnar gets taken down out of nowhere. Rob Van Dam fires off some right and left hands. Cover for a two count. Rob Van Dam hits a bulldog off the ropes. Lesnar blocks the suplex attempt. Powerbomb on RVD. Brock Lesnar moves in for the kill. F5! 1....2....3. Brock Lesnar slides to the outside and grabs a chair, then climbs back into the ring. RVD turns around...and gets planted with a huge chair shot to the head! He is left down and out on the canvas. I'll give this a ***1\4 rating. Lance Storm is standing backstage when The Big Show attacks from behind and floors him. Show goes to continue the attack, but Dawn Marie moves between them, blocking his path. He hesitates, then pushes her out of the way, sending her into the wall. Lance Storm comes back though, and sends him running after a few punches. He goes over and checks on Dawn Marie, who is shaken, but not badly hurt. Edge vs Kurt Angle : Stiff chop lights up Angle. Standing leg lariat by Edge on Angle. Edge uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Hardback suplex on Angle. Anyone remember when that was Shawn Michaels's finisher? Kurt Angle pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Edge gets caught with a short powerbomb from Angle. Edge walks into a stiff sit-out jawbreaker. Hooks the leg for a two count. Kurt Angle misses a big legdrop after stalling too long. Angle takes a hurrancarana from Edge. Cover for a two count. Death valley driver by Edge, Kurt Angle got planted. Cover, but there's a last second kick-out. Angle reverses a Edge hammerlock. Belly to belly suplex by Angle. Edge powers out of a Kurt Angle headlock. Running knee lift from Edge. The Big Show just slid into the ring out of nowhere! Show drops Edge and Angle with punches, causing the referee to call for the bell. I think this match has been ruled a no contest. The crowd are baffled by the actions of The Big Show, and who he has attacked. The Big Show has grabbed a chair. Edge walks over...and gets floored with a hard shot. Angle also takes a hard shot. Show has laid everybody out! Almost wandered into *** match territory, but there was too much that dragged it down so it only gets a **3\4 rating. Ultimo Dragon and Tajiri are in the ring waiting to start their match. Out from the back come all the members of Canadian Mafia, who invade the ring. They attack both wrestlers, leaving them both down and out in the ring. Canadian Mafia leave via the crowd, having ended the match before it even began. Tajiri and Ultimo Dragon vs Canadian Chrises : Jericho hits a dropkick on Tajiri. Lightning kick by Jericho on Tajiri. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tag between Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. Canadian Chrises hook up Tajiri, then hit a double suplex. Gut buster, Tajiri hits hard. Cover for a two count. Tajiri takes a back suplex. Tajiri takes the advantage after a i-block-your-punch-you-don't-block-mine routine. DDT from the top rope by Tajiri. That looked brutal. Tajiri tags out to Ultimo Dragon. Benoit takes a flying neckbreaker from Ultimo Dragon. Flying cross body off the top rope! I'll give a 0.8 on the Steamboat scale for that effort. Benoit reverses a Ultimo Dragon hammerlock. Tag between Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. Flying cross body off the top rope! Even Steamboat would have applauded the execution on that. Back heel kick off the second rope, Dragon goes down. Cover, but there's a last second kick-out. Stiff high kick on Dragon by Chris Jericho who has evidently been watching some old AJPW tapes recently. Ultimo Dragon ducks a clothesline attempt. Dragon crushes Jericho with a big legdrop. Cena \ Eddy come running down the aisle and into the ring! Jericho turns...and is dropped with a double DDT! Jericho in big trouble. Ultimo Dragon has Chris Jericho down on the canvas. Dragon Suplex!!! Chris Jericho taps out! Dragon \ Tajiri nod at each other...and they attack Canadian Chrises! The element of surprise works in their favour, and they have soon left Canadian Chrises down and out on the canvas. I'm slapping a ****1\4 rating on this. World's Greatest Tag Team are backstage. They were building up the feud with Hurricane \ Karagias. Good plan, kudos to the booking squad. Lance Storm vs The Big Show : Lance Storm strikes Show. Storm hits a massive spinning kick to the jaw. Lance Storm hits a rolling kick on Show. Spin kick by Lance Storm to the face. Show blocks a punch. Big clothesline on Storm. The Big Show hits a bulldog off the ropes. There's a two count on the pin. Lance Storm pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Storm crushes Show with a running senton. Hooks the leg for a two count. Vicious kick to the teeth from Lance Storm. Lance Storm slides out of the ring to the floor, then turns and leaves through the crowd. He's happy to have the win, and evidently isn't going to hang around for Show to get some payback. Almost a *** rating, but there were some bits that dragged, so **3\4 instead. A video is played, hyping the upcoming Hardy Boyz vs Angle \ Cena match. Hardy Boyz vs John Cena and Kurt Angle : Spin kick by Jeff Hardy to the face. J.Hardy crushes Cena with a running senton. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tag to Matt Hardy. Hardy Boyz whip Cena into the ropes and hit a double clothesline. Hard back suplex on Cena. Anyone remember when that was Shawn Michaels's finisher? Hooks the leg for a two count. Angle knocks Jeff Hardy to the ground. Angle Lock!!! Jeff Hardy taps out! M.Hardy and J.Hardy remain in the ring. Jeff Hardy does not look happy at losing. Matt Hardy goes to leave, but gets pulled back in by J.Hardy. Tensions seem to be rising between these two. A ****1\2 rating for a great match. Nope. As I said and showed you, it looks super cheap. All it had was the hub, a USB cord and thats it. No disc, no thing. I assumed I just plug it in, and plug whatever to it for it to work. But nope.
