I really need to hear the logic behind this one...
-
Is it just me or does the screen get more and more cluttered with meters with every new installment of this series?
-
Heh, I thought that was Hell's Kitchen?
-
That's fine, too. I'm just saying. I hate it when people act all surprised that something like this could ever happen in wrestling. Like wrestling is some ultra bastion of virtue, or something. Does the genpub even give a shit about what WWE does?
-
3. I wouldn't be surprised if the entire thing was a work. Maybe not the stiff shot that JBL gave him at ONS, but the resulting "controversy" certainly was. If it's posted on WWE.com, especially... 4. I fucking 100% agree there! I'm just glad I don't even get a channel that carries SD! so that I don't have to endure more fucking lamer than lame ECW gimmicks.

None of this shit is new. It's been going on since forever, before Mohammad Hassan came to WWE, before Slaughter sided with Iraq, before Col. Debeers wouldn't wrestle anyone who wasn't white, and before Fritz Von Erich was a goosestepping Nazi character. NOTHING IS SACRED IN WRESTLING. Not necessarily a good thing, but when will people ever learn that simple fact of life?
-
Is this guy related to Uwe Boll or something?
-
100% agree there. Voiceovers and commentary, I could COMPLETELY do without.
-
Can someone copy/paste the article? IGN is a gamesite, and therefore, is blocked from my place of work.

Anyway, a good set of nominations so far. Just bumping the thread incase anyone else wants to nominate before Wednesday evening - I'll post the first round brackets then [no time in particular, just "whenever-I-get-home-and-have-a-chance-to-sleep" type of thing].

That's a tricky bag. We live in a society where no foreign aide would bring down some serious political pressures on a government. I agree with your sentiment - MOST if not NEARLY ALL funding should go to poverty stricken citizens of ones OWN country, but I do also believe that SOME funding should go to the other countries who are down in the dumps. Now, the question of it making an impact and actually getting TO them is a whole other can of worms...

If it's not "I resign," the CPC is in serious trouble. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He'll resign if he doesn't win the next election - it's a given. I doubt it'll happen before then, though.

That site is blocked from my workplace - is it for PS2?

Homophobes give a fuck because it makes them feel uncomfortable and threatened.

What ever happened to that unofficial sequel to Day of the Dead, 'Contagium' that was being made?

I've heard a lot of great things about Biozombie, but I haven't seen it yet. Some others that I came up with, not nominees, but just figured I'd list them and see if it jogs any memories.. Shock Waves [Peter Cushing!!] The Dead Hate the Living Children of the Living Dead [a realllllly BAD Tom Savini movie] Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things Zombi Holocaust
-
Are the Evil Dead movies generally counted in the 'zombie genre'? I always thought that the people in that were just possessed by the house.

I didn't even recognize Dupree in the picture they have up on that page. Wierdo sleazy porno star moustache going one there...

So true. Actually, the only one that does that to me now is Rory's current boyfriend in new episodes. Too much of a pretty boy doofus. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wouldn't go as far as to say he is annoying or "doofus", it just a total different type from Dean and even Jess. I don't think we'll see much of him on season six as I think it's time for Rory to go single for awhile. I do think Dean returns to the fold again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dean was my favourite as far as love interests for Rory goes.

I actually loved it, but lost interest after Season 3 ended. Things just started getting way too "grown up" for me. =\

Man, I still have all of those in mint, I wonder what they're going for these days..

Alright, so I'm bored - sue me. Inspired by the The OaO "Land of the Dead" talkback thread, where people are posting their favourite 'living dead' flick listings. I figured, I haven't seen a 'tourney' for this genre before - and if it happened, I must have completely missed it. ;p Either way, let's get down to brass tacks. Some of the usual suspects will be pre-included [see bottom of this post] - but please nominate up to three zombie/living dead flicks that you have SEEN [not just heard of] that you think should also be in this tournament. It's a holiday weekend up here, so we'll keep this open until Wednesday and then start the brackets. Also, up for debate is the inclusion of such films as: - 28 Days Later... - The Crazies (which, btw - Brad Anderson is remaking this film for 2006) - The Omega Man (I was also going to say The Last Man on Earth as well, but the creatures in that film are explicitly called Vampires, whereas I don't remember them being called anything in Omega Man) All of the above films don't have traditional zombies, but do deal with some zombie type themes - such as viral infections and whatnot. Does anyone have an objection to including any of these in the running for nominations? On to the 12 pre-included flicks... I've seen all of these and think they're all worthy of inclusion. Obviously, all of Romero's films, a few other classics, plus the latest "nextgen" releases in the zombie genre: - Dawn of the Dead [original] - Dawn of the Dead [remake] - Day of the Dead - Dead Alive/Braindead [Peter Jackson] - Land of the Dead - Night of the Living Dead [original] - Night of the Living Dead [remake] - Return of the Living Dead - Return of the Living Dead, Part II - Shaun of the Dead - Undead - Zombi 2/Zombie

Haven't had a chance to see Wild Zero yet, but I see it in every HMV or Sunrise that I go into here in Toronto. Also, has anyone ever seen Raiders of the Living Dead?
