  1. Ahould they? No. Will they? probably not.

Everyone misses Owen, but we all know he's dead and gone. Better to let the pain fade with time than to constantly remind us, in my opinion.

I agree. I mean, I realize that Owen's death was a bizarre circumstance, but they don't do this for every other deceased wrestler on the anniversary of their death.

  2. For anyone bitching about it not being a "happy ending with closure":

"I had restrictions (with Buffy’s finale)," Whedon says on the phone during a conference call with journalists. "I had to go out on a happy ending ... With Angel, it’s a darker tale, so I have more license to do what I want to who I want to do it to - to make the audience miserable and excited ... It’s not the end of all things. It’s not a final grace note after a sympathy, which I think Buffy was. But it is a final statement about Angel." -from buffy.nu
..and if you still don't get it, then you don't get anything about Joss' writing and style.
  3. All-in-all, an amazing ending. I loved it, from start-to-finish, top-to-bottom.

It scares me that the series' [buffy & Angel combined] have only been on for eight seasons. Yet there's a ton of crap that's in the double-digits as far as seasons go..

    *cough*Simpsons*cough*

    The networks are just.. insane.

Now, I'm just sad. Sad it's gone. Sad they're gone. :(

I heard that Marsters wants to do a Spike-based spinoff

That would be cool. I wonder if the WB would pick it up, though.

Fuck them. Shop it to every network BUT the WB, I say.

The only one left is Conner and that could be a spin-off. But the rest of them, for all extensive purposes, are dead.

Joss & co. could easily write themselves out of that ending, or around it at least.

  4. Can't we just presume that Eugene dresses himself for the match, and the satin side feels better against his skin? He doesn't know enough to know that it's wrong, and doesn't care enough when people point it out to him. So, he dresses so it's comfortable regardless of it being 'funny' or not.

Asking people to 'presume' things or 'use their imagination' is apparently too much to ask in this day & age. It's the same thing as when people whine about the cameraman being conveniently present.

  5. So the thing holding you back from properly enjoying a new character that WWE finally gets right and also happens to be proficient in the ring is an inside out jacket???  Mate, generally I agree with most of what you say, but in this instance you really need stop totally overanaylsing every minutiae and let yourself enjoy something.

I do enjoy it very much. I just think jokes like the jacket have a short shelf life.

How is it a joke? I've never even heard anyone on the show draw attention to it. It's a part of his gimmick. It's not like JR & Lawler are constanty pointing it out.

    You're wierd. :P

  6. A thread never should have been started for this. That said, there are too many replies at this point to close it. Everyone, please don't flame Anglesault, but also, in the future, don't just start topics for the sake of it. Thanks.

Good point. I've seen more than a few Eugene topics floating around that this could've been put into. It's funny because everyone shat on that noob [whose username I cannot recall] for the same thing last week.

  7. I really hate the way this has been marketed and the decision to hype it as "ooo shit someone be dyin'." It's a lame ploy for attention, cheap writing, and I think the show is better than it, but eh, last episode, so I'll let it go. "Someone's going to die" is Dawson's Creek nonsense, not what I expect of Joss and company.

Well, it's the WB marketing it, not Joss & M.E.

  8. You deserve all the bullshit. There's absolutely no excuse to be a lardass in this day and age, because I used to be one.

That's bullshit. Lots of folks out there have legitimate thyroid problems and gain weight regardless of exercise and diet.

  9. Great movie. Eric Bana & Brad Pitt did better jobs than I ever expected out of them, and of course Brian Cox & Brendan Gleeson were fucking awesome!

Two slights against it, though. Orlando Bloom can't act & they made it look as if the war only lasted for a few days. Other than that, it was great.

  10. Starting topics is fine, but not so many in the span of ten minutes, and all of his topics in this folder can easily be condenced into one "My opinions on the following" instead of starting seperate threads about everyone, and in some cases, people who have topics about them on the 1st page.

Dude, he's a noob, you expected more?

Besides, I think the solution to this would be what someone suggested somewhere around these parts.. about users with less than 100 posts not being allowed to start new topics.

It would cut down on the fodder and the endless crying about it. ;)

  11. This guy is on a starting thread spree. The last three in Sports are by him, plus this and the Bradshaw one.

So, what, there's a ban on starting multiple *different* threads now? Up tight much?

It's called flooding the board with topics.

I thought the whole point of a board was to start topics.

  12. Oh, boo-hoo, someone started thread trying to start a discussion about how much Taker has left in him when there were others in existence, even though none of them are on the front page.

This place never ceases to amaze me with the amount of whining that goes on over nothing.
