Who here would love to see Mick light JR on fire for a major ~SWERVE!
-
Benoit looked strong in a match against Batista. So expect him to be bitch-ified next week.
-
even the Macarena?? Ok, would you believe the Electric Slide, then? How about the Timewarp? Actually, we need somebody to do a Dr. Frank N Furter gimmick. I nominate Rico.

Whoa, Lawler pimping La Resistance...did he wake up and remember he's a heel commentator this morning?
-
Booker's new theme blows so much.
-
Slap him, Bischoff.

Hey guys, I just arrived in time to see Batista doing what HHH should be doing at WM--tapping like mad to the crossface. Any other going-ons of note?
-
"Some degree of pain?!" No, he was like this: "aahhh...aaaah..." like he was getting a massage from a Swedish girl. Oh come now. He looked mildly uncomfortable. Like his underwear had ridden up or something. That's a lot of selling for the Undertaker.
-
I think it was last year on a Smackdown. Undertaker was in a triple threat with Angle and Benoit. They got him in the crossface and the ankle lock simultaneously. He did look to be in *some* degree of pain (hardly enough IMO)...but didn't tap.

While Kelly's opinions might be just like a lot of Smarks, the fact he thinks Benoit is getting shafted isn't the real story. The real story is that a former WWE employee thought this way. It shows the inner workings of the company, because according to the article, the decision makers at WWE DO NOT think that way. It really shows how their view of the product is so far removed from ours.

Remember Steamboat's brief return as "The Dragon"? As in, he dressed like a dragon, breathed fire, and the announcer acted like he was a totally new wrestler?

In WCW, Hogan totally no-sold a Vader powerbomb. At the time it was probably the most dreaded and guaranteed finisher in wrestling.

Bret Hart/Mania. possible Benoit WM plans
jester replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in The WWE Folder
Yes, HBK should be given one last run with the belt, and then retire. Just like Hogan graciously retired after winning the belt last year. Oh wait... NOBODY retires in this business until they're dead or actually unable to walk to the ring. "one last run before retirment" should never be an excuse to put the belt on someone. If it were, Hogan, Foley and Terry Funk just to name a few would have like an extra 20 titles. -
I have a hard time believing Vince wanted Bruno to be there just because it would be a nice thing. "So Bruno, we'll have this nice ceremony and a quick reel showing the highlights of your career. I will declare you a true legend of the business and shake your hand. Then Randy Orton will come out...."

Clique members have unlimited Get Out of Jail Free cards. Or get rather "Get Out of Jobbing Free" cards.

How about that Raw where La Resistance threw Spike Dudley over the ropes? They were supposed to throw him through a table and missed. It looked like Spike landed on his upper back and neck region. I thought they'd paralyzed him.

Bret Hart/Mania. possible Benoit WM plans
jester replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't care if Evolution, the entire heel roster, and the US Marine Corps jumps Benoit and beats him down before the WMXX match, thereby "justifying" his not going over. At Wrestlemania, faces overcome insane odds to win. That is all. If Benoit can't do it, this is what? The fifth time he's been close to the gold and couldn't do it? And this is what, the fifth or sixth competitor who can't get the job done against HHH? He loses at Mania, his momentum is dead. Yes, there are some "good" reasons to keep the belt on HHH, or give it to HBK. There is ALWAYS a good reason not to give it to the new guy. Sooner or later they have to take a chance. How about this for a change? Benoit wins at WM. And despite HHH pulling out all the stops and dirty tricks to get the belt off him at Backlash, Benoit retains with a clean win, thereby cementing him as a new superstar? -
Orton is so bad that it's even hard to give him a good insulting name, like "Cripple H." Although I must admit, "Blandy Orton" is pretty good. I was going to try on "Randy Ordinary" myself. Maybe we can combine the two? "Blandy Ordinary"?
-
The sad part is that all this is for nothing. Orton won't get more over by beating up Foley. Marks: "Wow. That guy just beat up the retired guy that HHH always used to slap around....with the help of his two friends. I must buy many Randy Orton t-shirts now."
-
Are we forgetting here that Vince isn't the only McMahon to hog the spotlight? What about his two devil spawn?
-
I love the Widow's Peak. The first time I saw Victoria use it on Trish was awesome. All the fight went out of Trish in an instant. If they had a commentary team that, well, commentated on women's wrestling matches properly, I honestly believe they could get the Widow's Peak over as one of the dominant finishers in WWE.
-
EXACTLY. DVDs aren't a reward for a wrestler's skills or good behavior. They're for the company's bottom line. The only question that matters is will it sell? And I'm pretty sure it would sell decently.

Football, movies, music, all tanking. Trying to by a media mogul ain't working Vince. I propose a radical new direction for your company, one that you've never tried before: wrestling.
-
Actually, I think it could benefit Smackdown. Part's of Raw's problem is its "star" power. The darlings of Raw never job, at least not in any meaningful way and hardly ever look weak. Austin, HHH, HBK.... these guys are the only ones built to mean anything, and everybody else constantly looks like a chump. Over on Smackdown, you have nobody like this except Undertaker, who has been gone awhile. That means that they have to work with someone new.
-
Amen. I've said it before, it's pretty sad that the Raw roster has been so decimated that they actually had to pull some guy out of retirement to job to Orton. A guy that HHH already owns anyway. I don't like Randy Ordinary, but if they're serious about getting him over, they should be jobbing Austin and the Undertaker to him. Imagine if Orton cost Taker his win at Wrestlemania as part of his legend killer gimmick (which didn't work, because he never actually killed any legends). It would make sense, and it would really piss people off. It would also mean UT being very generous, so that's out.
