  1. That song is a passable Sly and the Family Stone knockoff; plus, I paired it with "We Care a Lot," serving as a fond reminder of the kind of music I liked when I was 13. Had I thought of it at the time, I would've thrown that Jane's Addiction song in there, too.

  7. I'm on from 8-11pm, EST, tonight, so as of this post. http://stream.unf.edu:8080/ramgen/wosp/wosp.smil
  8. I don't know about Green Day, but Mars Volta are pretty fucking terrible.
  9. I was gonna delete as many threads in the CE folder as I could get away with.
  10. Well, shit. I was just gonna delete some threads. I can't wait long enough for the money order to clear.
  11. A little hyperbolic, that statement, but yeah, it's not a good song. Overproduced tripe. The best thing to come out of it? The Delgados, some 30 years later, nicked a bit of the melody for their fine song, "Child Killers."
  12. I'm just gonna keep hijacking threads, then.
  13. Hey, I've noticed, based on the very few times I've made a thread about my show, that it tends to not attract as many listeners compared to the times I simply hijack some other thread to plug my show. I may be going about this the wrong way.
  14. What a ridiculous thing to say. Meanwhile, I still wait for proof of Jean Renoir's inventing camera pans.
  15. Yeah, but I'll be playing stuff from it on the air.
  16. From imdb: The shot calls attention to itself. It wrecks—albeit temporarily—the mood of the film, letting you know that you're "only watching a movie." I haven't seen The Rules of the Game; you're the first person I've seen make that comparison. More info re: that one shot?
  17. I'm sorry no one cared about your stupid thread.
  18. My plan shall be revealed in due time.
  19. I got this, and will be randomly playing tracks from it on my radio show Sunday evening, starting at 9pm, EST (I'm scheduled for one hour, but, if the last two weeks have been any indication, I can do two if I desire). More info: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&t...10:9yem97wfkr5t http://www.rhinorecords.com/store/ProductD...so?Number=76490 That's 82 songs, man. I've listened to every disc; less than dozen are merely "feh" and I flat-out dislike one of them (Depeche Mode's "Black Celebration"—though I should note I've always hated that band). The remaining 70-or-so, however, range from good to great, and I'll be fitting in as many of them as I can. I'll provide a link to listen sometime on Sunday.
  20. As soon as I get Agent's!
  21. I recently came to the decision that I don't care about Johnny Cash at all. I didn't feel like starting a thread about it.
  22. That's good enough for me. Agent, when you see this thread, pm me your password. Hypothetically.
  23. i believe scorsese is quoted as saying that's the most important shot in the movie. It's dumb and irritatingly self-referential. Otherwise, great movie.
  24. But Blood, Guts & Pussy has bush and the midget holding a rabbit.
  25. Suppose, hypothetically, you let me borrow your account for one hour. Just one hour.
