Oh, Oasis weren't that bad, but really, they've fallen off the public radar outside of the British music press (and then only for their non-musical exploits), which made this board's "resident Radiohead expert"'s inclusion of them ridiculous.

Pick up Aceyalone's All Balls Don't Bounce. You might like some MF Doom stuff, like the album he recorded with Madlib under the name Madvillain, called Madvillainy. Also, Cannibal Ox's The Cold Vein.

"The National Anthem" has a hook (courtesy of its bassline), so it has something of a "body." And while I wouldn't argue much of godthedog's criticisms of Kid A—in fact, I'd probably agree with most of it—I can't get behind this: Ween can write a good song, yes, but the one thing I never liked about them (their early stuff, anyway) was a lot of it came off as mindless noodling with a drum machine and vocal effects. At least a third of Pure Guava is guilty of that.

Basically, yeah, though I think the title track to The Bends is the best thing Radiohead ever did AND one of the best songs of the 90s. Nothing else they've done (on that album or since) can touch it, in my mind.
