  1. Second year in a row where I am incapable of making a top ten. I simply haven't kept up with enough new stuff to where I could make a sound ranking.
  2. 1. This debacle has gone even further to show what an incompetent douche Mike is. 2. This debacle has further exposed the sheep-like mentality of certain Pit members. (And no Black Lushus, I'm not including you. Spare us any further self-righteous indignation.) Paul did something neat, I guess. He still associates with a crew of dick-hurt halfwits.
  3. chave isn't even sure what he's lashing out at.
  4. It isn't that $200 is a lot of money; it's a lot of money in comparison to the actual value of what is being purchased here. Paul's dropped two benjamins to be a hall monitor for a week. Why? "Durr, durr, hey guys, remember when I was a mod at TSM that one week???? I was the queen of the ball!"
  5. $200 is a lot to pay to try to look cool on a message board. What a fucking dope.
  6. I like "I'll Come Running" more than either Czech or Blak—the "Rocky Raccoon" comparison was harsh, bro—though I concur it isn't as strong as the other songs on AGW. Eno's vocal delivery—and this may be more of an unintended vocal tic than an affected pose—sneers all over what should've been a sunny, cheeky love song. Eno doesn't sound the slightest bit serious, which may've been the point, though I think it would've worked better done straight.
  7. Yeah, man. Good to see you over here.
  8. This thread still could've recovered after Sandman nearly ruined it, but no, you people and your Pit talk.
  9. Is it possible to be "blown away" by ambient music on the first listen? Or at all? I've said this numerous times already, but I admire Another Green World more than I like it. It's nice, pleasant, breezy stuff, but little more than that. The vocal tracks, though, are some of Eno's finest moments. Everyone points to "St. Elmo's Fire"—which is good, of course—but the zenith is "Golden Hours." Simply beautiful.
  10. Melodic Swedish Symphonic Black Metal How many more qualifiers can I add to that and still come up with a band that fits that description? Red Hot Thumbtack, I'm looking at you.
  11. Which one aren't you so high one? I've long felt Before and After Science was underrated. Seaking of TTM, the last minute-and-a-half or so of "Mother Whale Eyeless" is one of my favorite moments in music.
  12. I could be wrong—not that either way should change your mind—but I was under the impression that "fashioncore" was always a derogatory term.
  13. Oh, no doubt the original premise was blown spectacularly by Mole, but this thread's gotten away from that. It's turned to petulant sniping from a guy who really has no business calling someone out for any perceived real life shortcomings.
  14. Sandman, by his own past admission, is a self-loathing, social leper incapable of attracting girls, much less having a conversation with them. He also considers himself "straight edge," so a crippling addiction to drugs and/or drink can't even be the blame for real life personality malfunctions. Mole seems like a pretty okay guy who, for a time, got carried away with drugs, but is doing better now, thank you. Sandman, have you made any positive changes in your personal life?
  15. Pissed in the sink because it was a few steps closer than the toilet. Done that one a few times.
  16. Weren't you the one who wanted to post pictures of your wang in the cock shots thread as your marriage was disintegrating?
  17. Did you high five yourself after that one, Paul?
  18. I liked PHC.
  19. How would some sack of shit buying this place change things?
  20. This one killed me. Oh man.
  21. I'm uninterested in having an Altman vs. Wilder debate, but Altman's passing is arguably a bigger loss, as the guy was still making movies—good ones, too—up until his death. Wilder hadn't directed for 20 years prior to his death.
  22. mole, I'd say that makes you an eJerk.
  23. About 750 pages into Against the Day and new characters are still being introduced. I was enjoying this book for the most part, but this is getting a little frustrating.
