  1. Starbucks music.
  2. Are you? Are you really, legitimately, truly disappointed?
  3. I have done everything there is to do on the internet.
  4. I've talked to people I've never met. I've met people in real life that I first met on the internet. I've bought things from numerous websites. I've downloaded things—both legally and illegally. I've watched various videos and movies. I've read many different essays and articles covering a vast array of subjects. Even porn, the one thing that still made the internet a valuable addition to my life, bores me now.
  5. I still have a fondness for the first album, but The Wolf was excerable. I don't really care about him now. I pirated his latest album—which, apparently, is only being released in Japan—and it's nothing like I assumed. Big, Wall of Sound-style production, with Andrew doing a lot more actual singing than I ever would have expected him to. Good to see him branching out. As for what I think about the album itself, I got distracted and turned it off two-thirds of the way through. Maybe I'll listen to the whole thing one day. Probably not. Also, even though this thread has been sitting on the top of the page for the past few days, I only just now went back and reread it. I forgot I was ever banned at J*Wing/the Pit/whateverthefuckitscallednow. Life goes on.
  6. I can't wait until I get my own office.
  7. Hey, someone deleted my thread in Site Feedback. Bob Barron, work up some moral outrage, get in there and start a thread about it.
  8. At least he was able to smile about it.
  9. http://www.adrianbelew.net/adrianupdates.h...ay%2027,%202005 Granted, this is over a year old, but Belew went on record saying there'd be another Crimson album, with Tony Levin back in the fold. If I go see him next month, I'll be sure to ask him if that's still the case. edit: looks like directly linking to the entry didn't work, but all you have to do is scroll down a little to see it.
  10. Jason came a month or so after. Agent of Oblivion told me, in person, that Jason was subby. Which was a little disappointing.
  11. I'm interested in checking out this: Also, that Daryl Hall solo album mentioned therein sounds like something I need to hear.
  12. He'll always be with us in spirit.
  13. "The Road Behind" - GWAR
  14. When I saw him live, he had a live band with him. Good times.
  15. "Joey" is one of the worst Dylan songs ever.
  16. How much mellotron? Because it wasn't until I first heard ITCOTCK that I realized I had a tolerance level for the instrument.
  17. Robertson isn't entirely at fault here; it's not as if Dylan had no control over this being released. Anyway, the songs are mostly kinda of blah. Yes, it sounds like they all had one of hell of a time recording it, but that doesn't translate well when listening to it. And the songs here that were later recorded by other acts (like the Band and the Byrds) were done better by those other acts.
  18. Hey, we never talk about how The Basement Tapes. Mainly, about how boring it is. Oh, yes, I went there.
  19. Just the debut. Which is good, but yeah, as you've said, that's a lot of mellotron.
  20. I didn't read The Catcher in the Rye until college. I was completely underwhelmed.
  21. I don't mind John Wetton as much as I once did. He's still the weakest link (for his voice, not his bass) from that era of Crimson, but I find myself having little trouble getting through the stretch of vocal tracks on LTIA as I would have a few months ago.
  22. An interesting mess, but a mess nonetheless.
  23. Yep, she was a sometimes-vocalist for her 4AD labelmates This Mortal Coil, a group that did mostly covers, including a few by Tim.
