  1. Shooter Jennings. I'm on my virgin excursion through Soft Machine's Third; it's some real fusiony prog that's totally fitting my mood right now. I'm thinking of starting a prog thread, but I'm not too well-versed in the genre.
  2. I never thought I could love "Wild Horses," but then I heard the Flying Burrito Brothers' version.
  3. Let's not have this fucking stupid thread again.
  4. The Stooges - Fun House King Crimson - Discipline King Crimson - Beat The Dirtbombs - If You Don't Already Have a Look (disc one only) The Nation of Ulysses - Plays for Pretty Baby
  5. honked
  6. Also, that Kraftwerk post was some real Rando-type shit. You been drinking?
  7. I don't see how this question has any bearing on reality.
  8. Not a big synth guy, so it might seem odd that not only is Avalon my favorite Roxy Music album, but pretty high up on the list of my favorite albums in general.
  9. Paul Stanley, she's gonna let you have at her clammy pouch.
  10. What are all these names.
  11. It's so much more immediate than Discipline, which sounds a little too much like Talking Heads. Which isn't a bad thing, but you know.
  12. This picture makes me chuckle. Good for Rob.
  13. w/r/t the Tindersticks discussion on the previous page, as far as singles go, the best was easily "City Sickness." "Dying Slowly" is their second best single. Of course, Tindersticks weren't a singles band, per se, but both of those songs rank among their very best, period, anyway.
  14. I haven't, though I'll get to it sooner than later. I'm currently listening to Beat for the second time today; I think I'll rank it higher than Discipline. I'm glad I followed my whim yesterday and bought this, sound unheard. It's paying off.
  15. I like the color scheme and the font, but yeesh. That guy on the right.
  16. Listening to Beat for the first time. Can't say I expected anything like "Heartbeat" to appear on a King Crimson album. And I'm surprised that I'm liking the song as much as I am.
  17. Also, I can tell you that Herbie Hancock was incapable of making a solid funk album. He always got caught up in some light and cheesy contemporary jazz keyboard shit.
  18. The last two albums pictured were a couple of my favorites circa high school. The Suicidal Tendencies' s/t holds up, but that Sunny Day Real Estate is a drag. Oof.
  19. Listened?
  20. "Gloria" predates solo Van Morrison, so I don't know if he does that. Last I read, he hates "Brown Eyed Girl," so don't get your hopes up.
  21. Van Morrison is a total bore now. Magic Time was Terri Schiavo's brainwaves.
  22. I'm really stoked for some new Sparklehorse. I love that guy.
  23. That was stupid. Fuck you for thinking otherwise.
  24. Don't listen to Fook, Sandman9000. The media swept that one under the rug, so you, me, Fook and Slayer were the only ones to get it. Just us four.
