    Alcoholic Beverage you drink

Guiness, when ice cold, is absolutely great. Another beer that I've found myself fond of is Fat Tire, and if it comes down to it, Miller High Life is very tasty as well.

    America's torture ethic

The fact that people believe everything that they read on the internet shows what brainwashed idiots they really are. The US is constantly being weakened by all of these reports of prisoner abuse. Is it so hard to believe that this guy would be making it up in a further attempt to discredit the US?

    The Killers...

I've always had problems with comparisons like this. It puts an undue amount of pressure on the band, and then the listener is disappointed when they stray from that, because "Duran Duran never did anything like that". Take Ryan Adams, for example. Heartbreaker was his most critically acclaimed album, then they labeled him "the new Dylan"...after that, everything seemed very forced, as though he was trying to fit a mold that had been made for him instead of trying to make his own way. The Killers are good at what they do, which is inoffensive music for scenesters.

    Alcoholic Beverage you drink

We picked up this beer from the Sunflower Market a few months back called Nautica, and it was $3 for a 24 pack. Normally with beer, the more you drink, the better they taste, but this had the opposite effect. The first beer was good, then they became progressively horrible. My buddy and I sat there and drank all of them, though, because we spent $3 on them and were going to drink them out of spite. I've never been so sick in my life.

    The Killers...

"Mr Brightside" is a very catchy song indeed. Sorry Mole, I didn't know you were going to buy the CD within two hours of making the thread.

    Goodbye.

I'm moving out of the parents house, and the place I'm moving into has no internet access. I'm moving in to a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom house, complete with 13 foot trampoline in the backyard, coi pond, hookah lounge, ping pong table (which doubles as a beer pong table), bumper pool table, and Honda Trail 70s. I'm moving into the ultimate party house. Anyways, just wanted to say goodbye to everyone here, I've made some good friends on this board. Spoon, CWM, you two have been good shits, I'm gonna miss seeing you around...Malibu, I'm gonna miss hearing stories about your adventures with the ladies...Chave, I'm gonna miss you calling me a cunt. I may be online from time to time at work, but odds are I won't be on here that much anymore. However, I will be having a housewarming party. Call me for directions. Later ya'll.

    The Killers...

The CD, Hot Fuss is a bit of a letdown, considering that "Somebody Told Me" is a good song. The rest of the CD is full of poppy, synthesized songs about heartache. It's good as background music, but overall I was disappointed by the CD.

    Recent Purchases

The Beta Band - From Heroes to Zeros The Beta Band - The Beta Band The Von Bondies - Pawnshoppe Heart The Killers - Hot Fuss Eagles of Death Metal - Peace, Love, Death Metal From Hereos to Zeros is a decent outing for the Beta Band, but it seems that the band is relying too much on formula for the album, aping from their previous albums, namely The Three EPs. But, all in all, From Heroes to Zeros is without a shadow of a doubt their best album since The Three EPs. I bought the S/T Beta Band just so I could have their entire back catalogue (my CD collection was stolen a few months back...someone broke into my car the one night I left my CD books in there, made off with my stereo, my change tray, and 250 CDs.) Pawnshoppe Heart is much better than it has any right to be. After showing up late to the garage-rock mainstream and following a public brawl with Jack White, The Von Bondies made a very solid CD. Hot Fuss by The Killers is dance-rock. As pleased as I am that the synthesizer has made it's way back into mainstream music, this CD was a bit of a letdown, as the songs came off sounding too poppy for my liking. Run out to the store and buy Peace, Love, Death Metal as soon as you get the chance. Josh Homme's side project (yeah, another side project)'s debut CD plays awesome tongue-in-cheek music, featuring such great songs as "Whorehoppin", "Speaking in Tongues", "Who Loves the Devil?" and an outstanding cover of "Stuck in the Middle With You". All in all, the only CD that really was a disappointment to me was The Killers. If you're going to buy the CD on the strength of "Somebody Told Me", you're going to be let down by the remainder of the disc.

    Goodbye.

Nope, not friends from high school. A kid that I was friends with when he was a senior and I was a freshman and his friend, so they're all older. One of them is 21, one is 23, and then I bring up the rear at 18. They've lived in the house for like two years already, and I've been partying there every weekend for a year, so it should (SHOULD) work out. But I appreciate the words of warning.
