You'd think that with 2 world titles for the past several years that one year they'd let an underdog win. They still have another title match to "Main Event" Mania...and it frees up the bigger names to have big nontitle matches at Mania. I wish Hardy wasn't getting the title shot at the Rumble. A Hardy win leading into two months of storyline into Mania would have been surprising (if we obviously discount his beating HHH last month since it wouldn't have happened this way) and obviously a decent storyline (since...you know...they've been doing it already) to have a fresh and interesting Mania title match.

Except that they used that exact scenerio last year in the last 10 minutes of the Rumble.

I think that's actually part of the problem I'm having with the rumble itself. The only legit candidates to win at this point are the same old same old who have been on top for a long time. I'd actually be happy with a win by anyone but those people...

They usually put good shows on in MSG on top of that. I still look at the list of rumble participants and see mostly scrubs that TV doesn't make me care about...but the undercard looks really strong.

God damn right! Funny thing...the bar that I usually drink at has a time limit on the songs that play...thus causing Coma to end in the middle of it's awesome ending.

I voted for Nader the last 2 elections. I don't think I will be this time...but we'll see how much disdain I have for the candidates when we narrow it down to 2.

I think that Russo's philosophy is that people don't want to just watch a wrestling match. I think he believes that everything is more exciting when there's extra shit going on all the time.

Well the NWA considers their title a World title too. That and a nickle makes you Adam Pearce...with 5 cents.

That's fair...and fitting since the ECW title should NOT be viewed as a World title. Does anyone actually recognize it as such?

Oh. But they've already taped the Barbed Wire Massacre? It seems odd that they'd take the ropes down and then put them back up again. Bah whatever. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Barbed Wire match is recieved from a detailed report later. I was a big fan of the first one.

My parents were big on that when I was growing up. Knowing fiction from reality was second only to right from wrong in my early days.

I think that has more to do with how young he was. And that he had found critical success at that age. Of the 3 you mentioned, I think only Brando had been nominated for an Oscar by the age of 28 as Ledger had.

I was napping and my friend called to tell me this. It's an out of nowhere thing , to be sure. I can't really claim to be a big fan of his...but I will say that I was looking forward to his portrayal of the Joker more than pretty much anything. RIP.

I turn Impact on at work sometimes and anytime someone happens by the TV, no one has ever even mentioned the 6 sided ring. In fact, I went to BFG in Detroit with 2 people who aren't really even wrestling fans and they didn't seem to care either. The only reason they went actually is because the TNA guys do more fast and high spots than WWE does. I've found that the high impact moves draws people to the product. And that the ring doesn't detract any of them from it.

I have a short attention span. I like to jump from game to game during a session.
