Bound for Glory taking place in Atlanta
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
I'm ordering...but then I've ordered every TNA show since like...week 2 of the Wednesday shows. I always look forward to seeing TNA in front of a new crowd...which makes me excited for tonight. Sting/Angle intrigues me...mostly because I've ignored the storyline and just looked at it as two big name guys working the main event. That's something that TNA hasn't really ever had. It's always been JJ or Christian who...as much as I like them...weren't really legit main eventers before getting to TNA. Angle main evented WrestleMania...Sting main evented Starrcade... I don't know...it works for me. Christian/Joe has been really good both times they've done it. It made for a really really good main event earlier this year...and I expect it will deliver big time tonight. Lethal/Daniels will be good. I like that they're doing Steiners/3D again here...because I think that you need those matches that the crowd is going to treat like a "Big deal" even if it obviously won't be a classic. And the buildup actually hasn't stunk! LAX/XXX UX: Yeah I don't know why their doing it...but since UX is TNAs big gimmick match they'll give it time...and that can only be good. Watching Homicide and Senshi beat each other up is fun. Then there's some weird PacMan stuff, some Monsters Ball and a couple battle royals... I don't know...they always work hard. -
If you got Travis Henry in any fantasy leagues..
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Mecca's topic in Fantasy Sports
Time for a Travis Henry story: He had to extend his rookie contract with the Bills after year 1 just to get the small signing bonus so he could afford to make it to training camp. ... Which was roughly a year after he rolled into town and picked up a 15 year old at a gas station while reporting to camp. ... ... ... Also he fumbled alot. -

Team 3D seem to be the only thing that the crowd in Orlando really really wants to boo at this point. So that's a plus for them. Overall I liked the show enough. Better than it looked on paper. That makes me have high hopes for next week...which looked much better on paper.

Agreed on Ralph Wilson. He hires a first time GM who's in his 80s...won't ever pay for a decent coach...and has done NOTHING to help insure the future of the franchise in Buffalo. Thanks Mr. Wilson!

Beer: 1. Alexander Keiths (damn...I love you) 2. Blue Light (tastes like water. mmm... water that eventually makes Bryan drunk) 3. Honey Brown 4. Steinlager (which I only had once...after it had sat in my trunk for at least a month. But...it was STILL good) 5. Anything else is tied for 5th. except Sam Adams and all its flavors. ich. Liquor: 1. Crown Royal ... ... I'm not aware of another liquor that belongs on my list. When there's no Crown...Bryan is a sad sad little man.

Oh the memories. Seriously...I think I liked the zoo like atmosphere better. 90% of the time I'm on here I'm either drunk or suffering from insomnia (and it's fun to pull up old posts and try to guess which it was at the time) and this board was great for it.

Bound for Glory taking place in Atlanta
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
I'd love to see the final 4 come down to Harris, Storm and two other guys. I'd really like to see AMW team up to take out the other 2 guys so they can kill each other trying to get the title shot. As someone who's watched TNA from the actual bitter beginning...I'd totally mark out for some classic AMW spots followed by them rekindling their feud for such high stakes. ... It would RULE... ... And thusly I expect to see Junior Fatu pin Robert Roode. -
I just watched it. I liked it. It's a bit different and the charaters are likeable. I'll be adding it to my illegal download... err... weekly viewing habits

Spoilers for second two-hour Impact
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
Cornette announced it on the first Impact after the last ppv. It's fine that they're getting a showcase match...but other than Cornette saying they're doing it... Well...that's about all they've said. -
Spoilers for second two-hour Impact
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
That does look a lot better than the first 2 hour taping. For the last show leading into the ppv they put some actual decent lead in for some matches. This may be the first show TNA has ever done where storylines were advanced with something other than just runins. Steiners get a promo for the match with 3D Christian and Joe get a WWE style interview segment (which Joe correctly and hilariously calls cliche) Sting and Angle get into the show ending tease The (what I assume since of Mesias injury) 4 guys in the Monsters Ball get all out of whack in their match Daniels shockingly doesn't attack Lethal and does a staredown instead The women's match introduced a new person who will play the Big Show roll in the gauntlet... The only thing really missing for me is... WHY ARE LAX and XXX having an Ultimate X match? I mean...I'm not upset that they are...but is it for a tag title shot? Anyone? Bueller? -
I'm trying to play Durandal on Live arcade... Man I have never gotten that nauseas playing a game. There have been rare times where an FPS will get me a tad queasy...but that game is ridiculous. ... But I'm a trooper and I'll keep going.

If you could see one concert of any band in their prime what would your ONE choice be? Over the course of conversation a lot of interesting ideas came up... But I finally settled on my choice: The Who - 1968 I really think that might be the rockingest show there can be. But the conversation was really good. So what are your choices?

I can't wait to see Ledger's Joker. I CAN'T WAIT.

I don't read through threads when i'm drunk
-
The Titans let a guy ACTIVELY on their roster particpate in THE SAME COMPANY 2 MONTHS AGO. ...
-
You know who I like? Tomko. There's a post that belongs in the comments that don't warrant a thread if ever there was one. Seriously though...I like Tomko.

I hope Killings comes back. There's a bright side to the whole pacman thing. I love the Truth. Put a mic in his hands and he can make anyone care about him. ... I bet he could even get Pacman over.
-
I'll go the opposite way and say that participating in pro wrestling won't have any effect on his reinstatement. The PWInsider comments noted that the Titans didn't have a problem with him doing it, and once he was suspended from the league they can't really keep him from doing what he wants to. If he was ever to get let back after his suspension, I don't think being a part of a "fake" sport will hurt his chances. ... BTW... WTF are they going to do with him?
-
I think they're going to nail this. I trust the talent involved all the way...and I really really think that Ledger is going to be able to create something so much more sadistic than Nicholson's Joker that they'll escape comparisons.
-
That's just... Something. Mike Johnson also said it wasn't a Russo idea. Well...it'll get them mentioned.

TNA Impact Spoilers for July 19th and 26th
The Ghost of bps21 replied to DangerousDamon's topic in TNA Wrestling
I think in the end this whole Steiners/3D "greatest tag team" idea is really going to end up benefiting the other tag teams in the company more than either team. At least it has people talking about tag team wresting... and when you watch the product there are 3 teams that are clearly better than either team if they got pushes (LAX who has gotten pushed, XXX who obviously will, and the Motor City Machine Guns who I think will eventually) -
Bound for Glory taking place in Atlanta
The Ghost of bps21 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
If anyone does go to BFG and they hold the fanfest the day before...it's worth checking out. Its one of the few things TNA does well. The whole BFG weekend last year was very professional and well run. -
I saw Chuck and Larry at the drive inn even though I had zero interest in seeing it. Much better than I thought it was going to be. Pretty darn funny.
