  1. Seriously, is it that hard to find an announcer?? I'm not saying it's an easy job, but there's gotta be someone in america who went to broadcasting school and knows very little about wrestling. For what their pay is rumoured to be for all the travel and other crap they'd have to put up with, it actually doesn't surprise me at all that WWE can't find someone else. That and that it's not looked as a strong point on a resume.
  2. I'm lucky then. The two comic shops by me are always open on New Year's. I usually hit them up on most holiday's as well.

There's some cool stuff on there. Thanks for sharing it. I do find it quite funny that they have a Flock of Seagulls concert archived on it.
  4. I thought the Dusty finish was: a) Ref gets knocked out. b) Champ gets thrown over top rope. c) New ref runs down. d) Challenger pins Champ e) Pop f) Original Ref DQs Challenger. Has it been generalised to simple ref reversals? That's a classic Dusty finish. I think at this point he gets credit for any reversal.
  5. A Dusty finish involves another referee/official overturning the decision of a match.
  6. As a Jazz fan, I've grown acustom to Phil Jackson coached teams setting records against them. At least they played well last night.
  7. I think it counts as a Dusty-finish in the sense that the decision was reversed.
  8. My bad. The threads over at Newsarama have deceived me.
  9. According to Wikipedia... Late in the season, it was reported that Bryant would change his jersey number from #8 to #24 at the start of the 2006-07 NBA season. #24 was Bryant's first high school number, before he switched to #33.[3] After the Lakers' season ended, Bryant said on TNT that he wanted #24 as a rookie, but it was unavailable, as was #33, retired with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He said the switch to 24 signified the start of the second half of his career. Bryant took number 8 after his favorite Italian league player, Mike D'Antoni. Kobe Bryant grew up watching D'Antoni as a star point guard in the Italian league, where his father, "Jelly Bean" Bryant, also played.
  10. Joe/Angle vs. LAX is definitely PPV worthy.
  11. That was the best part of the segment. What's up with the ambient mood music in the AJ interview?
  12. The VKM segment was extremely lame. The whole thing would be a hell of a lot funnier if Nash and Shelley were involved.
  13. I like how in the CSI credits, they used last week's Impact promo.
  14. Ultimates should be safe, since it's Steve Mc's fault. Now if Hitchy gets down with the sickness...
  15. Only good t hing coming out of this is that issues #6 and #7 are coming out two weeks after each other.
  16. Nextwave is a great wave. I hope they wind up releasing the next mini in a timely fashion.
  17. Very sad. He leaves behind a great art legacy.
  18. Apparently Marvel let out a little bit of a spoiler in this month's Previews catalog. On page 398, in the apparel section it says . Makes sense since Thor's coming back.
  19. The whole Team XTreme/Hardy Boyz is a lot like the old Legion of Doom/Road Warriors argument.
  20. That's pretty much Alan Scott's story. I think he lost the Starheart power trying to save Jade.
  21. That's the cover of Civil War #6, which is out on 12/20. Looks like they're storming the Negative Zone.
  22. Kurtis Blow "The Breaks"
  23. Here is the cover to the next issue of 52...
  24. "Convalescence" Darkest Hour
  25. The Sting pinata was a fun visual.
