I can't imagine Bush doing anything other than retiring to that ranch in Crawford and staying out of the public eye for as long as possible. He'll get a library somewhere down the road and probably write (or dictate, anyway) a memoir, but I seriously doubt that he'll be Carteresque in his post-presidential visibility.

Yeah, I was going to say that for whatever the reasons behind the constant QB benchings/injuries and coach firings, it's led to one of the more wildly unpredictable NFL seasons in recent memory. It's pretty refreshing after last year's inevitable march toward destiny, which was only unpredictable at the end.

I actually think Gruden would be an excellent college coach--possibly better than he is a pro coach--but would rather him stay in Tampa. I'm just not sure who we could hire that would be any better. And with things going fairly well this year and him just signing an extension a few months ago, I doubt the guy is going anywhere.
