Rodney should just walk the first two batters so he'll inevitably get the last three out.

What are you talking about? Who the hell needs Batman when you have the Bulleteer? But hey, it does have the Ambush Bug...

ALDS: Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees

Detroit was always, deep down, a Baseball town. I mean, I'm a Wings fan and I've been to three times as many Tigers games than Wings. We've just been in hiding after having one of the most laughable teams in baseball for so long. Верьте!

Game 4. No contest. I love U of M, but the Tigers making the Post-Season AND possibly beating the Yankees to advance to the ALCS is a rare moment.

ALDS: Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees

All this talk about Yankees fans reminds me of that Post-Season Baseball commercial where they are going around getting fans of the other teams out of hiding to watch the game. "This time isn't about crying for the Sox, it's about rooting against the Yankees."

God damn it, Zumaya is the most terrifying thing out there. I would hate to be the guy who has to step up against him in a clutch situation.

    Marvel's Civil War

Yeah. The conversations with Hank Pym took the cake, though. "And here I am, seemingly the only one who can discern right and wrong. Watching Reed Richards drill a hole in an evil Thor clone's head. Damn."

    Marvel's Civil War

The simplest solution to this would have been "Not make Tony evil", but I agree with what you are saying. And don't shoot the messanger, yeah. Anyways, I found this and I thought it summed up quite nicely my disagreements with Civil War at the moment: "Thor didn't speak in German! He hated Germany!"

Jason: So basically Millar is planning on saying "It was Crab People!" the entire time? God damn you, Marvel.

    Marvel's Civil War

Jason X: I hope to God, and all that is Holy, that you are wrong. Iron Man torturing May and MJ when it's almost impossible for them to have any clue where Peter is going would go even beyond the dubious morals that "Bizzaro Tony" has already shown. Ponch: As noted by Teke, that wasn't Reed. Reed's a geek... but he's a good man who cares about the people around him. If he thought they were guinea pigs, would he really have labored as hard as he did to try and turn Ben back to normal? Cloning Thor, creating a prison in the Negative Zone for the express purpose of denying people fair rights (People, by the way, he's probably fought side-by-side with for years), among other things. I know Reed can get lost in science... but he's not an extremist, nor is he a person to deny common sense (Which is basically what he's doing with the mention of the HUAC and his uncle) to the point of which he loses his entire family (Ben is gone, as are Sue and Johnny). Millar really puzzles me. He's able to make Ultimate SHIELD a believably amoral organization with questionable goals and tactics, but can't get away from a completely black and white picture here? *shakes head* On another note, did anyone else think that the whole "Speedball getting Jack Ruby-ed" was a horrible, horrible historical reference?

Anyone who wants to catch up on Ultimate X-men

I felt the first 12 issues (Or at least, the Magneto plotline) felt like they could have stretched it out and developed it a little longer. I would have liked to see more of a potential and such. It just seems like that could have paid off bigger as a longer plotline, but oh well.

    Marvel's Civil War

Ponch: You sound like Reed took them up there so he could do live animal testing on them. In reality, they all agreed to go onboard (sneaking on after the Man cut their funding), and they thought they'd be fine. And that's extreme in a completely different fashion. Taking a risk with willing participants that you yourself are participating in is different than cloning Gods and doing something you know is wrong (As evidenced by his little HUAC story) is something completely different. Cloning Thor, a close friend and ASGARDIAN FUCKING GOD seems slightly beyond that in terms of moral problems.

    Marvel's Civil War

^As above. I think someone on another board mentioned a duplicate Thor SHIELD threw at the Avengers or something was wielding a hammer that was electronic, so that's what it might be. Frankly, this is character-death for both Reed Richards and Tony Stark. I mean, Christ, cloning Thor? No offense, but at least Mr. Fantastic has more scruples than that. This whole crossover has gotten progressively worse as it's gotten more and more obvious that "GOVERNMENT BAD!! THEY LIE, CHEAT AND STEAL FROM J00!!!", while we have Captain America being bitter as all hell and everyone else being "OMG I DIDN'T THINK THIS COULD HAPPEN!!" Fuck this, Ultimates #12 comes out tomorrow. I'm saving my stuff for the Ultimate Line, since that's the only line that's really worth it anymore.

    The Official "52" Thread

I'm gonna go with someone who has been in the series for a bit. Let's look at one T.O. Morrow. - He has access to viewing future events. He said he was able to engineer his T.V. to pick up future shows. One wonders if he was able to send information to the future... - He has some motive. He says the machine people of the future consider him a hero. One wonders if it's from a similar future. - Another point is that he even says they won't let him near a machine lest he trigger 'machine war 1'. That sounds telling... So my theory is that Morrow is able to contact someone in the future about Skeets, forming a sort of loop where they change and mess around with his program to bring about the right future to make sure the machines come into power. So they engineer a virus that'll allow Skeets to be controlled by Morrow in some way or another so that he can use Booster as a chess piece to make the right moves. Yeah, it's dumb. But... it's dumb. I dunno, thought it seemed semi-plausible when I thought of it.

    Justice League of America

Meh. Two Kryptonians is unnecessary. All Power Girl is is a Kryptonian Analog to Wonder Woman. She has more history on the JSA, she's happy there, and frankly she just fits there a helluva lot better than she does on the JLA. No offense, but a bunch of power figures just isn't that interesting to write. I mean, how many ways can you hinder a bunch of nigh-omnipotent beings? I personally think that adding MM would round out the lineup fine between Humans, Metahumans, and Aliens. I think there's a very good mix here, and this is just the beginning. More people will come along (Hopefully at least one of the Marvel family will make it), but otherwise I'm perfectly happy with this lineup.

    Justice League of America

The idea of vetoing Green Arrow is pretty simple: He's mayor of fucking Star City. How the hell would he be able to keep up with the JL and be a proper mayor? Arsenal taking his spot is great, in my opinion: He's great for a moral voice and funny stuff (Since Wally is now gone), and he's pretty comparable to Arrow in most respects. I'm just glad to see him make it out of Infinite Crisis alive (I thought he was a dead man). Vixen and Black Lightning... I think the JL always needs some lower heroes to be around since, well, Batman, Superman, and GL are often called back to their home jurisdictions. You need some ground-pounders to take care of the little stuff. Vixen is pretty decent all around (She is sort of a bootleg Animal Man), while Black Lightning has a power that's not often seen in DC (Though a bit more common in Marvel). Hawkgirl, I could care less about. Red Tornado is a classic choice and I agree that he'll probably fill out the MM spot 'til MM joins back up (Where the heck is he, anyways?). Why no Power Girl? Uh, she's an essential part of the JSA, and I don't see her leaving that place any time soon, ESPECIALLY with the revelations made about her past in Infinite Crisis. Having two Kryptonians is also a little too powerful and unnecessary.
