The first time I listened to that Yo La Tengo album, I had an unbearable migraine headache, and thus was unable to pay close attention to it. I've avoided it since then, because just thinking about it gives me a headache again.
Sooo...
The Futureheads are not very good.
For Christmas, I was put in charge of babysitting several younger cousins. I decided that it would be a good time for these youngsters to have their first viewing of Tommy. Hilarity ensued.
Dark Side Of The Moon is too cliche of an album to even begin to enjoy listening to. It's strangely hypnotic, though.
...although thinking about it, I may need to give it a closer listen later tonight. I didn't like Spiderland or Unknown Pleasures at first either, until I sat down and listened to them in a dark room.
So I was looking through my CDs today, and I noticed that I have a live Iron Maiden album. I don't remember ever buying it or listening to it, but there it is.
I may pop it in tomorrow.
Now that I think about it, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden are both very average bands. Since I like them a little bit better than Van Halen, they're the new winners.
My entire family is asleep, but I've been drinking a very gaseous and disgusting off-brand Dr. Pepper knock off all day, and am thus too loaded with caffiene to sleep any time soon. So I am going to sit here at my computer and eat an entire box of Krispy Kreme donuts until I'm sick and sluggish enough to pass out.
Merry Christmas.
