Get the expanded edition, Luxe & Redux. It's about the same price as a regular CD.
Others to check out:
Wu Tang Clan - 36 Chambers
The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin
Red House Painters - Old Ramon
Bob Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home
Nas - Illmatic
These are albums that have been getting heavy rotation in my CD player lately.
Yeah, I know this isn't all of his albums, but I was able to include most of his classics, so chances are, one of these is your favorite.
My vote goes to Dirty Mind, although Purple Rain and 1999 are close competition.
I also am going to have to choose the first album. All four are just about perfect, but the first one is more diverse, and it has my favorite VU track ever, Heroin.
Grace and Disintegration are both quality, but OK Computer and Pet Sounds are two of my favorites albums of all time. Were I to make a top ten list, they'd both make it. The coinflip at the moment, however, says OK Computer.
In Overland Park. They bought out a bunch of local used CD shops and put their entire stocks into a gigantic bin and are selling them off for a dollar or so each. I don't know how much longer the good stuff is gonna last, though, so I'm going back again this weekend.
Just copped about an hour or so ago from that ultra reliable longtime friend of mine, the ultra cheap one dollar bin at Best Buy:
The New Pornographers - Electric Version
Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach - Painted From Memory
Jeff Buckley - Mystery White Boy
Tears For Fears - Songs From The Big Chair
Sly & The Family Stone - Greatest Hits
Red House Painters - Old Ramon
Bob Dylan - The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (I was fucking stoked to see this, as my old copy had recently been lost)
Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick
Quite a fucking haul, and only a dollar, too.
I'm not a part of the TSM metal crew, but I agree with everything you said about Linkin Park. So, now you have the awesome power of Bob Dylan backing you up.
