  1. This is a rockin' little TV match.
  2. Halloween Havoc '95 sounds like a good suggestion to me. I'd probably be more available to do this during a weeknight. What's other people's availability?
  3. JBL was the other current guy I was surprised hadn't been picked yet. JBL was also the guy I was considering instead of Gino for my seventh pick to feud with Kerry. Damn, I actually wanted Simmons as a singles or with Doom.
  4. Years ago but I'm having a hard time remembering any specifics. Hollywood Hogan teamed up with Bret Hart which is kind of odd and they faced...uh....*checks DDT Digest* Roddy Piper and Randy Savage. It was also the show where Juvy fought Reese. Looking at the card on paper now, I'm sure the undercard was decent but the last few matches stunk on ice. That last sentence describes virtually every WCW PPV from '96 to '98.
  5. Still two guys that are surprisingly undrafted IMHO. One's current, one's old school. I expect the current guy to go in the next few picks. The old school guy I really hope will fall down to me.
  6. Well there goes my Fake Diesel pick I was planning on for the next round... Btw, Kane was one of the two current superstars that I was surprised haven't been picked yet that I was referring to a couple posts back.
  7. There are two current superstars and one legend I'm absolutely shocked haven't been picked.
  8. Fenway Park!
  9. I remember that. I thought Barron was insinuating that there was a Part 3.
  10. There's another one? I thought he answered all of the questions.
  11. There was another semi-current guy I was thisclose to picking as he'd be considered by most to be an absolute steal at this point but Gino's a better choice for what I'm trying to go for.
  12. The History of WWE
  13. I think I know who you're talking about but I'm going to have to pass him up. I was going to do a punny joke with said guy but I don't want to get Mellow upset with me again. For my next pick, I wanted someone to pair up against Kerry Von Erich. My next pick like Kerry, is a treasure of the Lone Star State and like Kerry left us all too soon. In his short time in the business, he paved the way for the likes of "Ravishing" Rick Rude and Shawn Michaels amongst many others. His rivalries with The Von Erichs, Jose Lothario, and The Freebirds packed arenas and stadiums across Texas in the early and mid 80s. He's a three time NWA Americas Heavyweight Champion, a six time NWA Texas Heavyweight Champion, a five time NWA American Tag Team Champion, and a two time SCW World Tag Team Champion... With my seventh pick and the 111th pick in the All Time Wrestling Roster Draft, I select... Gino Hernandez!
  14. I feel like I'm getting away with murder with this pick. I don't know how others feel about him and maybe I'm the only but this guy I'm picking should have gone rounds ago. For my next pick, I wanted someone who could go up against Flair and I don't think there's anybody on this board better than who I'm about to select. He was up there with Flair as one of the finest workers of the 80s. Like Flair, he wrestled into his 50s but unlike a lot of men who wrestle into that age, he was still capable of a 60 minute four star classic. In fact, one could argue he got even better as he got older. His feuds with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Jerry Lawler, Curt Hennig, and Verne Gagne riveted wrestling fans in the 60s, 70s and 80s. And he even managed to gain a bit of notoriety amongst non-wrestling fans with guest shots on The Monkees, Hawaii Five-O,and Hollywood Squares in the late 60s. I'm not sure if he or Flair ever squared off against each other, but a match between the two would be money. Two masters of the squared circle facing off for the top spot. It'd be an old school fan's dream. This man is a four time AWA World Champion, a former AWA Tag Team Champion, and a member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of '07 as well as a member of The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of '03 and Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame Class of '96... With my sixth pick and the 104th pick overall in the All Time Wrestling Roster draft, I select... Nick Bockwinkel!
  15. According to Cawthon's site, Alro is right... WWF @ Louisville, KY - Louisville Gardens - March 6, 1993 (4,200) Terry Taylor defeated Reno Riggins Damien Demento defeated Jim Powers Doink the Clown defeated Tito Santana Giant Gonzalez defeated Virgil Crush defeated Skinner Jerry Saggs defeated WWF Tag Team Champion IRS Mr. Perfect defeated Papa Shango WWF World Champion Bret Hart pinned Bam Bam Bigelow
  16. Nope...again if anybody can find a torrent or find something on YouTube just post it baby. I can't find anything. We could always do another show though. If I can't find anything in the next week or so, we'll do that.
  17. GRAB THEM CAKES! Excellent choice but luckily, not the one I was going to go for thank heavens.
  18. I'm afraid Diamonddust is going to take one of my picks as well. He and I seem going for a similar thing with our rosters.
  19. Here's an interesting one I've never seen--- Hulk Hogan and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat Vs Don Muraco, Mr. Fuji, and Johnny V (3 on 2 match. Philadelphia Spectrum 3-30-86)
  20. Hopefully, I'll be working for a group that's trying to pass a referendum to build a casino in Western Maine. Other than that, lazin' about, going to see movies and concerts.
  21. Must resist making a Pat Patterson joke...
  22. Where the hell have you Canadians been? We've had iced coffee here at Mickey Ds in the states since like two summers ago. All of the ice cream men around here seem to be underachieving twentysomething stoners. I wouldn't be surprised if the trucks were some sort of front for a small time drug operation.
  23. The first Judgment Day is one of those sneaky bad shows. Like most Russo PPVs, it's basically just an extended episode of RAW. But this is an especially bad episode. You have Kane Vs The Undertaker in the main event (which had gotten tired even by then), The Rock jobbing cleanly to Mark Henry just as The Rock's getting a superpush, and The Headbangers (who were Shotgun fodder by this point) getting a tag team title shot for no other reason than the fact that The New Age Outlaws had probably gone through every other team on the roster by this point. Mankind-Shamrock and X-Pac-D Lo Brown may have been good, I don't really remember as I haven't seen it in seven or eight years but I remember not liking it as a mark so that should tell you something. I can think of shows I thought were good as a mark that I think are terrible now but I can't think of a show where the opposite rang true.
  24. Good ol' DDT Digest comes through with a recap (with pictures) Recap of 9-4-00 Nitro with War Games 2000 It was really more like the triple cage match at Slamboree than an actual War Games from what I vaguely remember.
  25. No, I think Russo meant what he said. But I also think you're right, Cabbageboy. It's like this with any wrestler, you got to give some sort of reason for us to care. I think WCW (especially during this period when Watts was booking) just expected these guys to get over because they were stars elsewhere. That line of thinking doesn't work in the U.S. We get resentful when people want us to like something (soccer, Robbie Williams, etc.) because it's big somewhere else.
