  1. I'm not saying disagree with you but seriously dude, shut the fuck up with the name droppings.
  2. I vaguely recall 'Taker squashing Steamboat while Steamboat was on his way out of the WWF during his stupid Dragon run.
  3. Ah come on, Tom Brandi would be an absolute steal right now!
  4. Hey guys, let's not forget the amalgamation of one of the WWF's greatest tag teams of the 80s, B. Brian Brunzell!
  5. Andre The Giant and Giant Baba Vs Demolition (AJPW/WWF Wrestling Summit)
  6. On the subject of Taco Bell, I really enjoy their new value menu. Its threatening to steal the crown from Wendy's who has had the Best Value Menu title since as far back as I can remember.
  7. Is anybody else kind of surprised that The Warrior hasn't been taken yet? I know he's not really popular amongst the IWC but I really thought he'd go late in the first round or early in the second round for some reason. I'm also a bit surprised Randy Orton hasn't been taken yet as I'd have him around that range at well. There are some other people I'm surprised haven't been drafted but I'm not going to mention them since I want to draft them myself.
  8. Absolutely no semblence till '95? I'm sorry cabbageboy but I flat out disagree with you here. I thought when he came back in late '93- that he was destined for places higher than the IC title scene. But you're right- there was no way you could tell he was going to be what he would turn out to be back in the AWA days. Anyways back to the subject at hand- these past few shows have had a whole lot of washed up Barron Von Raschke and a whole lot of Ricky Rice. No wonder why they went out of business a couple of years later. And is anybody else morbidly curious to see the Team Challenge Series? The stuff they're airing now is just boring bad, I'm hoping with The Team Challenge Series, we'll get some amusingly bad stuff.
  9. The beginning of it all
  10. Glad I have a laptop. Amusingly enough, I do own a copy of Heroes of Wrestling. Anyways, seeing how we're discussing that era of WCW so much, we'll do Great American Bash '99 first. Sometime next week. I swear we'll pick a good PPV for our next one.
  11. As the #4 pick in the TSM All Time Wrestling Roster draft, I select... "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair WHOO! Quite simply "The Man". Is excellent as both a face and a heel. He can adapt to almost any style and can carry almost any wrestler to a decent match. Sure, he's a bit formulaic but 98.4% of the time that formula worked well. Can have a good match with almost any type of worker be they a wild brawler (Terry Funk), a technician (Bret Hart), or a power wrestler(Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger). Is excellent as both a babyface and a heel. Even though there are others who may be more recognizable, Ric Flair is my #1 choice to build a promotion around. WHOOO!
  12. Here's one I've never seen before surprisingly... Bret Hart Vs Yokozuna (Steel Cage match) Probably Yoko's best match. Gorilla Monsoon and Johnny Polo were an underrated announce team.
  13. I'm thinking of doing these on Sundays when TNA and WWE aren't holding PPVs. Good idea? Bad? Indifferent?
  14. OK, I have yet another idea for a regular thread on here. What we'll do is every other week, we'll select an old school wrestling show (one of those Coliseum videos could be fun too), pick a time when we'll all watch it and provide sort of a running commentary ala the PPV threads in the WWE and TNA folder.Since we've been talking about the Hummer angle and the general crappiness of '99 WCW, I lay forth the suggestion of Great American Bash '99 for our first slection. The problem with this show is that it's so crappy that it might kill the chances of a second Tape of The Month. Maybe we should do something good. Is anybody interested in this idea? I'm also open to suggestions as to what show we'll watch first.
  15. Goblin is on the clock, correct? I'm 99% sure he'll pick his namesake so if anybody else had Hogan on the top of their list, start planning for your backup now!
  16. Goldberg Vs Kevin Nash Vs Scott Steiner (New Blood Rising) YES! Thanks Daily Motion! I've never actually seen this one before..
  17. Happy birthday to Venkman, one of my top three posters.
  18. Vampiro wasn't fucked over so much in '99, it was more that he was a complete non-entity for most of the year. I'll grant you when he did finally get pushed after tearing it up for most of the year on Thunder and Saturday Night, he got put in a lot of stupid shit storylines.
  19. I could see that. Ironically, it's probably by far the least successful of the recent movies ('89 Batman on). People still really don't seem too into animated movies that aren't neccessarily for children. I wonder why that is but I guess it's another thread topic entirely.
  20. You can start a new thread. Brody is just being an ass. And another chapter in TSM's love-hate relationship with Brody is written.
  21. Thanks a lot guys. Tonight I'm going to celebrate in style by going down to Boston to see The Red Sox game and go to the Popeye's Chicken across the street. Clearly I am a man that knows how to party down.

    Zimmerman Notes

I can see it somehow being tarnished by the gawd awful Guns 'N' Roses cover but it's in no way bad.
  23. Haw. Any Russo apologists want to try to explain the "logics" behind The Powers That Be angle?
  24. Well if you want to be a Let's Talk About... thread, you'll have to wait till Friday since we've enacted an official one Let's Talk About... thread a week rule but you can call it something else if you want to post it sooner. Call it Behind The Angle or something and we can have another weekly thread!
