ECW marks sat on their hands for wrestling. Malenko v Guerrero had so many matches in near total silence (like Japanese crowds --- except ECW crowds didn't pop for ANYTHING) it was almost sad. -=Mike Well, that wasn't their fault. Eddie and Dean went out there, busted their asses, and the crowds were silent because they weren't hitting each other with barbed wire baseball bats. BUT THE FANS LOVED THEM FOR IT! Or so we were made to believe by the tearful going-away party they had when they left. Surely, the people who inhabited the ECW Arena were an odd kind.

I would argue that the Malenko/Guerrero matches that took place in '95 were some of the best matches in the US that year. Certainly the WWF wasn't doing anything great that year, outside of Michaels and Hart, and Benoit, Malenko, and Guerrero's matches in WCW generally weren't as good as their ECW work because they were usually given less time.

They talked about this on Bill Maher's show last night. Surprisingly, he was against the ruling. I think it's kind of dumb to say that there's a big difference between a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old. Sure, there's growth emotionally, but I've known as long as I can remember that killing is wrong. Is there really a better chance of rehabilitating a 16-year-old killer than an 18-year-old (Personally, I don't really think you can rehabilitate a killer, but that's beside the point). Not that this country shouldn't respect international opinions, but they should never affect US Supreme Court decisions.

I always felt that Friday the 13th Part VIII was a bit overrated, especially by Leonard Maltin, who called it the best in the series. I also think Jason Goes to Hell was rather underrated, but you won't find a lot of people who agree with that. But it would be strange seeing a Jason movie get critical acclaim for once.

There is no excuse for having any "filler" on the CD. Axl didn't say they were "filler". He said they wouldn't be released as singles.

She's extremely intelligent and her stuff is exceptionally interesting to read. -=Mike Explain to me what is so good about her writings. Sure, I dont agree with her views, but I can enjoy certain conservative writers like Jonah Goldberg and Michelle Malkin. With Coulter, it seems that all her columns consist completely of personal attacks and general statements such as liberals support Saddam, liberals uniformly don't believe in God, etc. I mean, it's not like her writings could actually turn someone away from liberalism and towards conservatism, because she never writes about what's good about conservatism, only about how awful liberals are. Not that there aren't a lot of people like that on the left, but it seems that the kind of stuff she writes would only appeal to people such as yourself who really seem to hate liberals (that isn't meant as a flame, just an observation based on reading your posts over the last year).
