If they had decided to enforce the rules, then you're right. But this is wrestling, where they only enforce the rules when necessary. So when they realized Benoit wasn't coming back, they quickly pointed out that he never should have won, and reversed the decision. Like a really delayed Dusty finish, or something. I know, it doesn't make much sense to me either, but hey, they're the ones who deny it. Yeah, but even so, isn't the referee's decision supposed to be final? If so, wouldn't he have to be alerted to the cheating before the final bell for him to make a decision on whether the match should continue or not? Or perhaps the decision can be reviewed, and the match continued or result reversed if the error is discovered in a reasonable period of time. Well, the whole situation is confusing and WWE's not going to provide any sensible answers. The only consistent rule I've discovered about WWE is that anyone can be deemed a legal, licensed referee as long as he or she wears a striped shirt somewhat resembling a referee's shirt. Sometimes that rule is waived for: Big-boobed bimbos wearing striped bikini tops Guys wearing Stone Cold t-shirts. Commissioners. General Managers. Vince McMahon--however, didn't he himself have to put on a referee shirt at least one time when he counted the pinfall? I think that was for Rock/Hogan II.

No. He needs to be taller.

Skip all the lousy throwaway TV shows. Then you're sure to have some surprises in the Rumble match.

By that line of thinking, every heel who ever cheated to win a title's reigns would be null and void.

However, whenever the title was won by some one else, that person should be the Undisputed Champion still and have the right to move from show to show as he pleases. That's the way the title situation, worked out prior to the draft, was supposed to be for the men's and women's titles. I brought this question up when Show won the title from Brock. It was never mentioned on TV ever, naturally. However, somehow the Women's Title became exclusive to Raw...for absolutely no reason and around the time that Bischoff said "no one cares about women's wrestling." Instead of doing something sensible, like trading the women wrestlers to SD for the fluffer whores (which would make sense for Bischoff to do and would have fit in with Raw's then-M.O. of "SE over wrestling"), they...kept the women's title on Raw. Huh? The fact that the title Brock carries now should be the Undisputed Champion, and any other holder of the title should be able to go to both shows as he pleases of course was never brought up again, although something like that would be convenient for this angle.

Silly--a toy inside the box wouldn't fit around his waist. However, THE BOX ITSELF could be a fold-out belt. Just add glue and velcro. He can put on a Burger King kids' meal crown and be the Undisputed Cracker Jack World Champion and Happy King.

I agree. Kurt Angle was never really WCW Champion, neither was Rock, and Jericho became WWF Champion and got a shiny extra belt in the process. That's an extra belt, not a second REAL title.

I'm so happy JR will think it's important. As opposed to the WWE title...? Years from now it will be the play toy of little 6-year-old Kennedy Levesque/Helmsley as she becomes the youngest holder of a WWE title ever.

JHawk/Metal Maniac: Yeah...it never made sense to me either, and it still doesn't.

"And don't gimmie that "Heyman said he can't have a title shot ever again" BS. Past years clearly show that you CAN'T stop the Rumble winner from claiming his prize unless he willfully forfeits it. " Well, remember that WWE doesn't stick to their own stipulations. Remember how Stephanie, JR, King (then later Coach and Snow), and Austin are all supposed to have been fired and/or gone from WWE forever (no, Steph doesn't get by via the WWF/WWE switch since WWE pretends it always was the WWE just like WWF pretended WWWF never existed and it was always WWF before that....uh...yeah)? Then of course, there's the whole Rumble storyline where Vince won the Rumble despite him not entering it when his number came up, the magic contracts...all that crap. WWE just makes this shit up as they go along.

That's EVERY Wrestlemania. This is different and you know it. They have been promoting this show every week since the day after Wrestlemania XIX. So, HHH/Benoit doesn't go on last then? If reports are accurate, that match may not even happen, so I wouldn't count on it.

That's EVERY Wrestlemania.

I don't know about that. The match they had together (singles, not the Power Trip/Chrises tag match pre-quad tear) didn't really click. So I don't know if they'd have a great match now. Good maybe, but I wouldn't get my hopes up or I might be disappointed. I don't see HHH selling as much for Benoit as he did HBK. Then again, HHH worked a good match with Booker (bad booking aside) so maybe I'm wrong.
-
Like at WM2000, X-7, the Raw title match at XIX...?
-
I know HHH is a busy man, but how's Edge's recovery coming along? Think he'll be able to fit in 2 or 3 PPV wins over Benoit before Edge's return? Stop right there. You're using reason and logic to surmise what WWE will be doing long term. That never works.

What does Mark Henry have to do with this? She's like, covered in his stank.. and stuff. Well, according to him. But I have no reason not to believe Mark Henry. Thank you for ruining any Trish fantasies for me ever, you bastard.

IWC hates HHH. HHH hates the IWC. IWC likes Benoit. HHH has Benoit buried to spite IWC. Of course, it's childish for a company to do things for the sole purpose of spiting and alienating a portion of their audience. That being said...

What does Mark Henry have to do with this?

This is from..."wrestlezone?" Let's have a more credible source, please. Not that this seems unlikely, but it sounds like it could have been made up just to stir crap up.

As did I. Bad sign? I don't think Ivory's any good. She's not the worst, but I wouldn't call her a good worker. Also, don't get me wrong: I like Victoria. I really like her. I can't honestly say I think she's a good worker either, though. For as briefly as she was trained and how much experience she has, she's exceptional, but it isn't really possible for someone like that to become a good worker for a while. I'd dispute the "none of them can wrestle as well as even the worst males." Even so, I'm positive that Trish and Victoria have more heat, more fan interest, and draw higher ratings than a typical Henry/Test stinkfest.

Past the evening news? I wish. Now we find out that Comedy Central wasn't kidding when they said, "The Daily Show--where more Americans get their news...than probably should."

Is he going to win in the great state of AAARMBAR?! All rise for the singing of the national anthem... I'm a Republican, and I'm not too thrilled about Bush either. At the same time, none of the Demo candidates are clicking with me right now. Nobody seems to share a good deal of my views on most of the issues.

L4W: Yeah. They didn't seem to be happy with what he COULD have been as a performer, and were more concerned with what they wanted him to be. Instead of trying to play to the strengths of the guys they have, WWE tries to shove the people they do have into a mold of how they'd like that performer to be. If Vader had been up and coming in WWE now, he'd have never become as big as he was in WCW. He'd have been forced to lose weight, conform to the standardized WWE big man moveset, talk regularly, never go to the top rope, and probably wouldn't be pushed even if he managed to get over because he's not that tall and he wasn't exactly a spring chicken when he started to come into his own. For all of his faults as a booker, Heyman gets praise for taking a worker and using that worker's strengths to the fullest while trying to hide the weaknesses. For example, RVD was given a manager to cover for his bad mic skills, 911 hardly ever wrestled but he got pops for clearing the ring when the fans got pissed at some one, Spike beat big fat heels and bumped like an SOB, Dudleys were complete dickhead heels all the time, Bigelow was a monster heel who had plenty of guys to bump for him, Douglas ran his big fat mouth and used his injuries to help his heel character.

Still less with shipping. Slightly more, better game.
