Smackdown Spoilers for Nov 23rd...
DangerousDamon replied to Thanks for the Fish's topic in The WWE Folder
The thing that boggles my mind the most is that Vicki fell in love with one of her husband's rivals. ( I know Edge and Eddie hadn't fought each other for about two years before Eddie died.) I dunno, I guess I'm over analyzing. -
If he keeps using the Redneck Destroyer, Murdoch > Cade. If it means I get to see Murdoch sell Cade's lariat in the most ridiculous manner ever, then yes, I'm all for a Lance Cade push.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJYMhBw8Fdc MVP and Kendrick channel Misawa and Marufuji in this finish to a six man tag.
-
ugh, I hate that move. It looks like the guy doing it is taking a Bossman Slam.
-
I'm sure he could be an upper mid card heel if they let him do his "The First Ken Dykstra" schtick.

Dood it's the New Nation of Domination!
-
Haha Doane's sell of the GTS was great.

Comments that don't warrant a thread

I was playing Fire Pro 2 today, and I got an 88% in a lucha style match with Hayabusa and RICK RUDE. It was actually a really awesome match. Hayabusa pinned Rude with a standing moonsautl. -
You should just get under them and grapple once they grab the belt. You'll pull 'em right off if the belt meter isn't empty. I actually like that about the ladder matches for '07 and '08: the belt meter. I tried playing a HCTP ladder match the other week, and I won it in under 2 minutes on Legend after throwing my opponent out of the ring and then climbing the ladder to grab the belt. Too easy. Not like the MitB matches in '07...those are fucking impossible. Also, if anybody doesn't know how to light a table on fire, I just looked it up: Have a finisher, and then stand next to a set-up table and press your finisher button. OR, after picking up the table, hold R1 and then tap triangle when setting the table up to throw a match on it and fire it up. Obviously that's for PS2/PS3, so for 360...replace R1 with RB and triangle with Y. I figured out an awesome strategy for one on one ladder matches because the AI in this game is fuckin retarded. Let them climb up the ladder, grab the belt and then start draining the belt meter. Once they get it down towards the end, punch em in the face and throw them off and snatch the belt. Works like a charm. Money in the Bank, however, requires pure luck and being a sneaky bastard. As for the flaming table, don't forget that you need an UCM to put em through the table.

I was feeling really frustrated with all the moves they took out of the game and the limitations that come with the fighting styles, but something is telling me to keep this game. I don't know what. I guess I'm having too much fun with the custom theme songs.

The newest version of the Nagata Lock, which I believe is a Border City Stretch, looks like it could do some serious shoulder/neck damage.
-
I always keep losing Ladder Matches on this damn game when someone's just about to grab the belt because instead of just tipping the ladder over, I'll try to climb the ladder, but slip on the first rung. So frustrating.

The way Umaga does the Catatonic is FRIGHTENING.

Found this video of Spirit Squad Mikey's current OVW gimmick.

Sabin executes his moves better than Punk. That's about it.

Good Luck making TAKA Michinoku in this game. They took out the Just Facelock. Probably because of the whole Benoit fiasco.
-
Yes, it was. It was right after Orton had won the match for Smackdown and all the Smackdown wrestlers came to celebrate with him. I think that was also when they were making Orton out to have this "amazing streak" in elimination matches, when really he had only won two.

I didn't know Justin Timberlake was a rock star. Also, why didn't the Hardyz just come out together?
-
I thought Umaga was the captain of the other team?

Jericho and Delirous chat it up.

Haha, I didn't know Roderick Strong was on ECW now

ROH Misawa Weekend (Glory By Honor VI Night 1 and 2)
DangerousDamon replied to Hawk 34's topic in General Wrestling
Results ~Misawa came through the door at 5 to massive applause. ~ROH returns to Philly 3/15/08. Preshow 1) Alex Payne defeats Kyle Durdin with a fisherman suplex. 2) Shane Hagadorn defeats Rhett Titus holding the ropes on a sunset flip reversal. Botchy but OK. Main Show 1) Kevin Steen & El Generico defeats Brent Albright & BJ Whitmer with a Swanton Bomb on Whitmer. Hangm3n attack afterwards. 2) Claudio Castagnoli defeats Hallowicked with a European Uppercut in a good match. Crowd was on fire. Larry Sweeney offers to buy out Claudio's contract, but he refuses. 3) Davey Richards defeats Delirious via submission. Great match. 4) Jay & Mark Briscoe defeat Roderick Strong & Rocky Romero to retain with a springboard doomsday on Roderick. The Age Of The Fall attack The Briscoes afterwards. 5) The Age of the Fall defeat The Vulture Squad in a great fast paced match that had the crowd on their feet with Jacobs locking Jigsaw in the guillotine choke. ~After the match the Briscoes, NRC, Delirious, Hangmen3, Steen & Generico, and Daizee Haze hit the ring for a massive brawl with a ton of dives that brought the house down. ~INTERMISSION~ 6) ?? 7) Austin Aries defeats Bryan Danielson to win the best of 3 #1 contenders series with a 450. ~Chris Hero comes out and demands his title shot RIGHT NOW after winning Survival of the Fittest. 8) Nigel McGuinness defeats Chris Hero to retain the gold (with the Thames Barrier) Hero won the match, but Nigel had his foot on the ropes and it was restarted. 9) GHC Heavyweight Champion Mitsuharu Misawa & KENTA vs. Takeshi Morishima & Naomichi Marufuji ended in a 30 minute time limit draw. From what I heard, Nigel wrestled his match in jeans, The Briscoes/NRC match was not good, and Aries/Dragon was a chain wrestling clinic. -
Rave never really had a whole lot of charisma. When ROH was trying to make him into an ankle breaking killer, he'd come out and smirk. That was about all the charisma he showed.
